"And once you are removed, you will be banned, as you are in America and Australia - from ever re-entering our country. Sunak was speaking after the Conservative government unveiled proposals barring illegal migrants entry into the country, as the government acknowledged were stretching international law amid protests from rights campaigners.

Last year, England recorded the arrival of more than 45,000 migrants on the shores on small boats, which was a jump of 60 per cent.

As per the draft law, anyone who will arrive in the UK illegally will not be allowed to claim asylum, Sunak said at a news conference.

"If you come here illegally, you can't claim asylum. You can't benefit from our modern slavery protections. You can't make spurious human rights claims and you can't stay," he added.

"We will detain those who come here illegally and then remove them in weeks, either to their own country if it is safe to do so. Or to a Safe Third Country like Rwanda and once you are removed, you will be banned as you are in America and Australia from ever re-entering our country," he stated.

As per the draft law, interior minister Suella Braverman will be assigned the task of deporting all migrants entering illegally.

"I voted for Brexit and I believe in Brexit because it offers vast opportunities for families and businesses across our whole country," Sunak wrote in The Daily Telegraph.

Sunak wrote that while Brexit was about restoring the UK's sovereignty, the Northern Ireland Protocol had undermined that and created "serious barriers to trade within the United Kingdom, and that is unacceptable".

The Northern Ireland Protocol Bill was drafted for the UK to legally undo parts of the Brexit agreement through a Parliament vote. Against this, the European Union took legal action that led months of impasse until the latest round of talks launched by the Sunak administration.

“No British Prime Minister could ever sit back and just allow these problems to continue. That’s why my predecessors were right to create the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill – and why I supported them in doing so,” Sunak noted.&nbsp;

"For as long as the European Union refused to reopen negotiations on the Protocol itself, this Bill was the only way forward. I have no doubt that it helped to create the conditions where the EU has been prepared to engage constructively. But my predecessors were also right to say this Bill was a last resort. Like them, I have always said a negotiated solution would be a better outcome," he wrote.

Meanwhile, the Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar has said the deal over trade between Britain and Northern Ireland was "inching towards a conclusion".

One person who attended the event said that they were provided forms which asked them to make a donation for the “80:20” campaign ahead of the next election, as the party plans to defend 80 seats and clinch victory on another 20.

The party has received a donation of more than £600,000 from Mansour’s company Unatrac. Former treasurer and a donor, Howard Leigh, is believed to have compered in the event.

Responding to the letter, education union secretary Kevin Courtney said there was nothing for them to call off the strikes and added that their decision might change after the national executive meeting on Saturday.&nbsp;

According to Guardian, 100 MPs have expressed their disapproval of a deal with the European Union to help break the post-Brexit deadlock in Northern Ireland.

Hardline Brexit supporters within the Conservative party are reportedly suspicious of concessions made by the UK.

It comes following an intervention from his predecessor Boris Johnson who was against Sunak's plans of abandoning the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill that grants powers to ministers to ignore EU rules and rip up parts of the protocol.

"His general thinking is that it would be a great mistake to drop the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill," a source close to Johnson told Sky News.

The source said that if there is a deal then the bill introduced by Johnson when he was PM would become redundant.

&nbsp;"If we can find a way to satisfactorily resolve the issues with the protocol, then you wouldn't need the bill," the official was quoted as saying. "But we haven't resolved them yet."

According to reports, the UK leader is expected to meet European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.

Both are likely to discuss the final contours of an agreement to replace the current trading arrangements. He is also likely to meet the leaders of France and Germany.

Leader of the Democratic Unionist party Jeffrey Donaldson has said that Sunak’s proposal “currently falls short of what would be acceptable” to the party, adding that it failed to adhere to its longstanding red lines.

The Northern Ireland Protocol is a trading deal&nbsp;negotiated during Brexit talks. It allows goods to be transported across the Irish border without the need for checks.

Before Brexit, it was easy to transport goods across this border because both sides followed the same EU rules. After the UK left, special trading arrangements were needed because Northern Ireland has a land border with the Republic of Ireland, which is part of the EU.

There have been disagreements over the protocol, crippling the functioning of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
