<p>The findings of the dossier compiled by the Labour were published on www.theGPCfiles.com and showed how the use of Government Procurement Cards (GPC)&nbsp;had increased under the current Tory regime.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Notably, a GPC is Whitehall's version of a contactless debit card that is used by different government agencies and their employees to buy goods and services.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The report stated that as of March 2022, the average spend per GPC had more than doubled from 2010.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"As of 31 March 2022, there were 8,666 GPCs in circulation across the 14 departments examined, and – where relevant – their executive agencies, compared to the almost 11,000 recorded by the NAO for those departments in October 2011. That means the average annual spend per card for those departments has more than doubled from $9,319 (£7,727) in 2010/11 to $20,251 (£16,790) in 2021."</p>

<p>The report is especially severe on Sunak for his rich expenditure during his time in the office as country's chancellor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Tory leader stayed in Hotel Danieli, a five-star hotel in Venice when attending the G20 meeting of finance ministers in July 2021. More than $5,400 was spent on the accommodation of Sunak and his aides.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It adds that Sunak's Treasury group spent as much as $30,572 (£25,347) on buying IT/office equipment in March 2021 alone&nbsp;whilst a fortune was spent on training courses.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"In a different type of bulk buying, the Cabinet Office and Treasury spent a combined total of $201,584 (£167,131) in the month of March 2021 on training course fees, 178 per cent more than the average of $72,513 (£60,120) they spent on training in the other eleven months of the year," the report added.&nbsp;</p>

The largest strike in the NHS's 75-year history&nbsp;included&nbsp;both nurses and ambulance personnel after they had been striking separately on and off since late last year.</p>

<p>Stephen Powis, England's top physician who spoke to Reuters, said that this week's strike action—during which physiotherapists will also walk out on Thursday (February 9) —would likely be the most disruptive so far.</p>

<p>The government claims that health workers' demands for salary reflecting the highest inflation in Britain in four decades are unaffordable and would lead to more price hikes, which would raise interest rates and mortgage payments.</p>

<p>Since the summer of 2022, some 500,000 workers, majority of them in the public sector, have gone on strike. This has increased the pressure on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to settle the conflicts and reduce the impact on essential public services like trains and schools.</p>

<p>According to the survey, the ratings of PM Modi trumped those of world leaders like French President Emmanuel Macron, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and US President Joe Biden. Around 22 world leaders were surveyed in the poll for the ratings.</p>

<p>The Political Intelligence research firm stated that the "Global Leader Approval" survey has been based on the data which was collected between January 26 and January 31, this year.</p>

According to the Telegraph newspaper, the multinational firm—founded by British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s father-in-law Narayana Murthy—owes £20 million for a period from 2014 to 2017.

Though Narayan Murthy quit Infosys in 2014 following a clash with the company’s subsequent leadership, his daughter and Sunak’s wife Akshata Murty still owns just over 0.9 per cent of the Bangalore-based company. In April last year, local media reported that Akshata saved millions of pounds while living in No 11 by using non-dom status to minimise her tax bill. The tax break, which costs thousands of pounds to maintain, means that a person can be a UK resident but only pay tax on the British – rather than worldwide – income. <p>This latest development seems like Sunak has finally given in to the mounting pressure for action against Zahawi from the opposition. Sunak had been avoiding sacking Zahawi till now and had instead asked his new ethics adviser, Sir Laurie Magnus, to evaluate whether the HMRC settlement was a Ministerial Code breach.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a letter written by Sir Laurie to British prime minister Sunak on Sunday morning, the ethics adviser concluded that Zahawi had "shown insufficient regard for the general principles of the Ministerial Code." The letter added that he did not fulfil the requirements of being an "honest, open and exemplary leader".</p>
