The Supreme Court on Thursday declared Imran Khan's arrest as illegal and ordered the release of the former prime minister of Pakistan.

The court further directed Khan to approach the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The directives were issued by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial after the court resumed hearing Khan's plea against his arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

Khan will now spend the night in Islamabad Police's guest house where he will be allowed to meet 10 people.

Before Khan was produced in front of the court, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) stated that it "will do its best to keep Imran Khan under custody for at least four to five days".

“We will seek the maximum physical remand of 14 days from the court," the news agency PTI quoted a NAB source as saying.

The police had detained Imran Khan from NAB's Rawalpindi regional headquarter. Even though his party workers alleged that Khan was wounded in the process of the arrest, NAB stated that Khan won't be treated harshly and will only go through questioning over his alleged involvement in the case.

'No personal vendetta', says Reham Khan over arrest of ex-husband Imran Khan

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's personal life has always been a topic of conversation, mainly for the wrong reasons.

Adding to the controversies surrounding his prior marriages Imran Khan claimed on Friday that the Sharif family "paid a woman" to publish a book against him during the 2018 general elections, a clear reference to his ex-wife Reham Khan (his second wife).

He claimed that the mafia (Sharif family) is once again planning a character assassination and that something could be released after Eid.

For the first time since its release, the former Pakistani prime minister alluded to the book in a vague way at a public event in Multan.

He also mentioned his first ex-wife, Jemima Goldsmith, at the gathering, saying she had to deal with legal challenges and accusations from the "Sharif mafia" that she was a member of the Jewish community.

From 1995 through 2004, Jemima Goldsmith was married to Imran Khan for about 9 years.

Jemima detailed anti-Semitic attacks she encountered in Pakistan in various interviews after the divorce.

She was asked by a reporter whether Imran will be a hero or villain, Reham said that "depends on him". She added, "In Bollywood, heroes become villains and villains become more popular."

"But I feel he also has comedic talent... If nothing else, you know Paaji's (Navjot Sidhu's) place is vacant in The Kapil Sharma Show. And now, he is also into shero-shayari (Urdu couplets)," she added.&nbsp;

"Also, he has very good relations with Paaji, so I feel there can be some sharing with him," she barbed further. &nbsp;

Navjot Sidhu is a former Indian cricketer, who was active when Imran Khan used to play international cricket. Sidhu was a part of "The Kapil Sharma Show" as a special guest and was ousted from the show following some&nbsp;controversial statements.&nbsp;

Reham Khan, senior journalist and ex-wife of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, said on Wednesday that Pakistan premier's political survival from the present crisis was 'impossible'. Reham Khan was speaking exclusively with WION. Saying 'everyone has had enough of him', she claimed that Imran Khan was trying to be like former Pakistan PM Zulfikar Ali Bhutto by claiming that foreign powers were hatching a 'conspiracy' to topple his government.

"I think he is trying to project himself as Zulfikar Ali Bhutto," she said. She repeated her assertion one more time during the interview.

Imran Khan's coalition government is facing a no-confidence motion in Pakistan's National Assembly. The vote on the motion is due to take place on April 3. But as the day draws nearer, the cricketer-turned-politician is increasingly finding himself on a slippery wicket.

"Nobody believes in foreign conspiracy hocus-pocus," said Reham Khan as she spoke with WION. Imran Khan has claimed that he has documentary proof of foreign conspiracy but has not yet made it public.

In a public rally on March 27, Imran Khan waved in his hand a letter that he claimed was proof of foreign conspiracy against his government.

Reham Khan described Imran's attempt to have been focussed on salvaging his 'failing political career'. She added that making such allegations was a 'dangerous thing to cook up'.

The coalition led by Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had a jolt on Wednesday when allied party Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) deserted the coalition and demanded the PM's resignation.

Reham Khan opined that it would be better for Imran Khan to step down gracefully before he faces defeat in Pakistan's parliament.&nbsp;

However, "Grace is not something I equate with Imran," she said.

She said that she viewed Imran Khan as a very 'selfish' person who would put his own motives above national interest.

"Imran's political survival is impossible," said Reham Khan also stressing during the interview that she saw through him quite early.

The lower house of Pakistan's parliament, the National Assembly elects the prime minister. In order to have a majority, the government needs support from 172 out of 342 members.

After 2018 elections in Pakistan, Imran Khan's PTI won 155 seats and Khan crossed the 172-vote threshold to be elected prime minister in 2018 with the help of coalition partners.&nbsp;

After the gun attack post, Reham also shared related updates on her official Twitter handle. She also complained that she and her staff had to wait for hours to get an FIR registered.&nbsp;

Severe allegations have been levied against Pakistan's world cup winning captain and current Prime Minister Imran Khan. Pakistan's Prime Minister and former all-rounder has been targetted by his fellow fast bowler Sarfaraz Nawaz in a talk show for a Pakistani news channel.&nbsp;

According to Nawaz, Imran has been consuming charas (cannabis) regularly and also snorts cocaine.&nbsp;

Both the pacer spearheads played together for Pakistan during the 1970s and 1980s. He recalled an incident that took place during 1987 Tour against England where Imran was struggling to bowl. As the team returned to Islamabad, Imran visited Nawaz's house and is said to have indulged in drugs.

Nawaz went on to name Salim Malik, Mohsin Khan and Abdul Qadir who accompanied the then Pakistani skipper.&nbsp;

Mahmud Kasuri, who was foreign minister when military dictator Pervez Musharraf was in power, claimed that in 2006 Pakistan invited former Indian PM Manmohan Singh to sign an agreement on Sir Creek.&nbsp;

"We wanted to prove to the world that India and Pakistan could change things bilaterally...unfortunately, we said March when Musharraf went hell lose", said Mahmud Kasuri.&nbsp;

Mahmud Kasuri also said that Pakistan's relations with the United States took a nosedive since 2011. However, he said that US President Donald Trump repeatedly insisted on mediations to resolve the issue of Jammu and Kashmir despite New Delhi's reservations.&nbsp;

Kasuri said that only China and the US can play a role in resolving the issue. "The US has a slight tilt towards India," Kasuri said.&nbsp;

"The selected government of Pakistan has completed one year and the selectors are worried. They should be worried if they are not. In one year we saw what happened to the stock exchange, we hit the lowest of the stock exchange within a year. Pakistan is currently struggling with a balance of payments crisis.&nbsp;

Khan has said he will also be talking to the IMF about a loan.

He will now reportedly also travel to China to ask for more cash. (A number of commentators though say Pakistan's BOP crisis has been triggered by the easy availability of Chinese loans.)&nbsp;

And as a response to that later Reham also tweeted and alleged that the PTI has threatened her. She also attached a copy of an email sent to her by Abbasi.

She has alleged that Hamza Abbasi has been threatening her since August 2017. She further asked Abbasi that how he was able to read the manuscript when the book is not released yet. "Only possible through fraud or theft", she said.
