<p>Drumming up international support for his call to "fix" or "nix" the Iran nuclear deal, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reached out to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi to update him on the recent developments.</p>

<p>A statement from Netanyahu's media advisor yesterday said the Israeli Prime Minister spoke to three key international leaders, including Modi, Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, and British Prime Minister Theresa May.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He discussed regional issues with the world leaders and also updated them on the important material that he revealed regarding the Iranian nuclear archive, the press release stated.</p>

<p>Netanyahu had earlier told the media that he would share the archive of more than 100,000 documents said to have been obtained by Israel's espionage agency Mossad from a Tehran warehouse, which allegedly proves Iran's past clandestine efforts to assemble nuclear weapons.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The leaders of the E3, Britain, France, and Germany&nbsp;said they want to see the material. They're very interested in seeing what we discovered," Netanyahu told journalists in his Jerusalem office.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Intelligence professionals from London, Paris and Berlin are coming to Jerusalem later this week to examine the material Israel presented, he said.</p>

<p>The Israeli Premier spoke to French President Emmanuel Macron, Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel to update them about the Mossad's findings on Monday.</p>

<p>Taking a jibe at the Congress' losing streak in the state assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said post-Karnataka polls the grand-old national party will become a regional one called PPP Congress - Punjab, Puducherry and Parivar Congress.</p>

<p>"After the Karnataka results, Congress will become PPP Congress- Punjab, Puducherry and Parivar Congress," the prime minister said at the rally here.</p>

<p>He also added that it is the people of Karnataka, who will make the Congress into a regional party called PPP Congress.</p>

<p>Congress, which was in power in13 states in 2014, now governs only three states and one union territory.</p>

<p>And, if it loses Karnataka too, the party would have presence only in Punjab, Mizoram and Puducherry.</p>

<p>"Congress has lost in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura...people across India have rejected the Congress," Prime Minister Modi.</p>

<p>Responding to the charges levied by the prime minister on Rahul, Deputy Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Anand Sharma denied any such behaviour by Gandhi.</p>

<p>He said, "There was no disrespect ever towards Deve Gowda by Rahul Gandhi...It is not the Congress' culture to insult. When Deve Gowda Ji was prime minister, his government had full support of the Congress party. Rahul Gandhi has not said anything derogatory about Shri Deve Gowda".</p>

<p>Hitting back at PM Modi, he also asked the prime minister to apologise for repeatedly insulting former prime minister Manmohan Singh.</p>

<p>He also added that Gowda had in the run-up to 2014 elections said he would take 'political sanyas' if Modi became the prime minister.</p>

Rahul never disrespected Gowda: Congress denies PM Modi's charges

<p>The BJP in Karnataka has filed a complaint against independent MLA Jignesh Mewani and actor Prakash Raj&nbspfor allegedly using defamatory and abusive language against Prime Minister&nbspModi and party's chief ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa.</p>

<p>The complaint,&nbspregistered with the&nbspChief Electoral Officer on Monday, states that while addressing a speech at an event in Bengaluru on April 29 Mevani called the PM "a corporate salesman and a thief who has looted the country".</p>

<p>The letter added that Mevani and Prakash Raj have been constantly involved in jeopardising PM Modi and Yeddyurappa's image.</p>

<p>The complaint also requested the Election Commission to not to grant any permission to Mevani or Raj for holding any indoor or outdoor meeting in the state till the polls.</p>

<p>The BJP has also registered a complaint against senior politician AK Subbaiah for saying "Yeddyurappa along with his fiancee would run away once polls results are out".&nbsp</p>

The BJP in Karnataka has filed a complaint against independent MLA Jignesh Mewani and actor Prakash Raj&nbspfor allegedly using defamatory and abusive language against Prime Minister&nbspModi and party's chief ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa. The complaint,&nbspregistered with the&nbspChief Electoral Officer on Monday, states that while addressing a speech at an event in Bengaluru on April 29 Mevani called the PM "a corporate salesman and a thief who has looted the country". The letter added that Mevani and Prakash Raj have been constantly involved in jeopardising PM Modi and Yeddyurappa's image. The complaint also requested the Election Commission to not to grant any permission to Mevani or Raj for holding any indoor or outdoor meeting in the state till the polls. The BJP has also registered a complaint against senior politician AK Subbaiah for saying "Yeddyurappa along with his fiancee would run away once polls results are out". (With inputs from ANI)

PM Modi felicitates CWG medal winners, tells them benefits of yoga

<p>The government said Monday that every Indian home will be electrified by the end of the year.</p>

<p>"28th April 2018 will be remembered as a historic day in the development journey of India. I am delighted that every single village in India now has access to electricity," Prime Minister Narendra Modi had tweeted then.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A village is considered electrified when at least 10 per cent of its homes receive electricity supply, as do its&nbsp;public areas.</p>

<p>Which is why, even though ever Indian village is now electrified, as many as 31 million Indian households still do not have electricity supply.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"This is a huge success (the electrification of every village). We achieved it 13 days ahead of the deadline," Power Minister RK Singh said on Monday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He added that the next target — that of electrifying every single Indian home — would be achieved by the end of the year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Now our next aim is to electrify each household in the country, which will be done by December 31, 2018," Singh said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Manipur's Leisang&nbsp;was the last village to be brought onto the national power grid on Saturday. It was electrified at 5.30 pm Saturday evening.&nbsp;</p>

'Fantastic performance,' Modi tells CWG winners on Mann ki Baat, urges Indians to stay fit

<p>After a series of bizarre remarks, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has been called to New Delhi by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.</p>

<p>Deb, who took charge of Tripura last month, will meet PM Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on May 2.&nbsp</p>

<p>In last two weeks, Deb made a string of random remarks which left his party colleagues workers redfaced.</p>

<p>Today, while addressing a gathering, CM Deb advised the Tripura youth to not to waste their crucial time by running after the government jobs and instead, milk cows or open paan shops for livelihood.</p>

<p>"There should be a cow in every house. Why run after netas for government jobs? Milk is being sold at Rs 50 per litre. Graduates should get cows and milk it to earn Rs 10 lakh in 10 years. Instead of running after political parties," the Chief Minister said.</p>

<p>Earlier, he had stated that the Internet and satellite communication existed during the Mahabharata era.&nbsp</p>

<p>He even questioned the crowning of Diana Hayden as Miss World in 1997.</p>

<p>While addressing another rally in Tripura, the chief minister also stated that mechanical engineers should not opt for civil services, but civil engineers should.&nbsp</p>

<p>According to Deb, any unemployed youth with a minimum amount of Rs 75,000 borrowed from the bank and with a little self-effort, can easily earn at least Rs 25,000 every month, but the hurdle in this is the culture that has grown in the state during the last 25 years.</p>

<p>The report said that the two countries should try to resolve their differences and make the "quest" for normalisation and peace the "noblest of goals" in the region.&nbsp</p>

<p>North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and the South Korean President Moon Jae-in held a historic meet on Friday, where the two leaders agreed to make collective efforts to create peace and stability in the Korean peninsula.The two leaders also aimed at denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.</p>

<p>The media report said that a comparison between India and Pakistan relations with reference to the two Koreas would be made inevitably. It added that the tensions and disputes between Pakistan and India are fundamentally different to the issues between the Koreas.&nbsp</p>

<p>"Pakistan and India have forged very different and irreversible histories, whereas the Koreas seek unification. Yet, a shared history and the common dreams and aspirations of a people with enduring cultural and other similarities across India and Pakistan make the quest for normalisation and peace in this region the noblest of goals," it added.</p>

<p>Recalling the historic trip of the then prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1999 to Lahore, the report further said that the leaders of the two countries should again walk the path of peace and friendship.</p>

<p>The ties between the two countries were expected to improve after PM Modi's surprise stopover to Pakistan in December 2015.</p>

<p>However, the relations between the two countries had strained after the terror attacks by Pakistan-based groups in 2016. The sentencing of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav to death in April last year further deteriorated the bilateral ties.</p>
