The report stated that India has unequivocally rejected all actions and statements by Pakistan on matters which are completely internal to India, including Jammu and Kashmir.

The MEA's annual report provides a comprehensive overview of India's foreign policy and its interactions with other countries.

The report's critical comments on Pakistan reflect the state of ties between the two countries, particularly over the issue of terrorism. He barely escaped Pakistan with his life after angering its powerful military with his journalism. Now his story has become a&nbsp;comic&nbsp;book.

Taha Siddiqui's therapist told him not to dwell on the attempted kidnapping he suffered five years ago, or he would never escape his trauma.&nbsp;

"Clearly, I didn't listen to her at all," said Siddiqui with a smile.&nbsp;

He was speaking to AFP in his Paris bar, The Dissident Club, which he opened in 2020 as a refuge for exiles like himself.&nbsp;

It shares its name with his new autobiographical&nbsp;comic&nbsp;book&nbsp;-- co-authored with cartoonist Hubert Maury who was previously a French diplomat in Pakistan -- which is released on Wednesday in France and soon in other languages.

It opens with the moment in January 2018 when members of Pakistan's military pulled him&nbsp;from&nbsp;a taxi in broad daylight and shoved him into another car. Detention, torture and death were very real possibilities.

Two strokes of luck saved Siddiqui -- convincing the man holding his neck to release him, saying he would go quietly, and noticing that the passenger door was unlocked.&nbsp;

He leapt&nbsp;from&nbsp;the moving car, ran down the busy highway and managed to alert his media friends, swiftly organising a press conference about the attack in order to buy time.&nbsp;

Only after escaping to Paris did he discover he was on the military's "kill&nbsp;list" and could never return.&nbsp;

The road to atheism&nbsp;

The graphic novel goes beyond this incident to explain the spread of extremism and war in the region through the story of his religiously conservative upbringing in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.&nbsp;

"I chose to tell my story as a&nbsp;comic&nbsp;book&nbsp;because I couldn't have any when I was young," said Siddiqui.&nbsp;

"It will definitely piss off my father. I hope he won't see it."

Not that they have a good relationship. His father's response to the attempted kidnapping was to say he was being punished by God for not praying enough.

It was a classic Romeo-and-Juliet experience that challenged Siddiqui's own faith, after his family opposed his marriage to a Shia girl he met at university. The divide between the Sunni and Shia branches of Islam is a fraught and often violent faultline in Pakistan.

"That really triggered this thing in me that there's something wrong with the way we live," said Siddiqui, who is now a full-blown atheist.

'No regrets'&nbsp;

The attempted kidnapping put an end to a successful career. He had worked with many international media and won the prestigious Albert Londres prize for a piece on the Taliban banning polio vaccines.&nbsp;

His fearless criticism of the powerful&nbsp;Pakistani&nbsp;military made him a target, particularly a front-page story for the New York Times exposing their secret prisons.

"It was pretty crazy," said Maury, his co-author. "But that's what makes it such an interesting story.&nbsp;

"I find it impressive and remarkable. He risked not just his life but exile as well and cutting ties with his family."

Siddiqui said he has no regrets: "I chose this life but I didn't choose (the military's) reaction. That's on them, not me.

"Sometimes I'm sad. I really believed in the country at one time in my life but now less and less. Pakistan is a very dysfunctional country."&nbsp;

Siddiqui is already planning a follow-up that looks at the lives of other exiles.

"I wanted to take control because when I was attacked I lost control," he said.

Even his therapist is convinced, having recently visited the bar for a talk on exile and mental health.&nbsp;

"She said I was doing well and getting purpose out of what happened to me," he said. "I was really happy."

It further said those declaring war and picking up weapons against the authorities deserved punishment. “Recently some so-called ulema tried to create chaos using Islam. After that, it became our responsibility to issue the fatwa," one of the clerics and signatories of the fatwa was quoted as saying by The Dawn. The clerics added that not every person in the country had to declare jihad, referring to the TTP terrorists. The fatwa cleared that only the 'head of an Islamic state' could declare jihad. Unlike what the officials sitting in Islamabad believed, TTP since its inception has been anti-Pakistan in its stance. The outfit has repeatedly refused to acknowledge the Durand Line as well. Shrouded in secrecy, the Pakistani Army has concealed both the aims of the negotiations as well as what it is willing to offer the TTP. A report by Islam Khabar in August this year claimed that Pakistani military negotiators offered to accommodate the TTP with a safe passage back to Pakistan from Afghanistan in exchange for the TTP agreeing to a long-term ceasefire by dissolving itself and beginning to join mainstream politics.&nbsp;

Contradicting his denial about formal engagement between the Pakistani state and the TTP, Sanaullah later clarified that the military leadership had been authorised to hold dialogue with the TTP under the Constitution, but only with those who were ready to lay down arms and peacefully become a part of society.&nbsp;

He said the doors will remain open for those interested in peace and dialogue and at the same time terrorism will be crushed with full force. He said military operations were underway against the TTP and the army had the capacity to defeat terrorism.

Asked about former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's return to Pakistan, the minister said that Sharif will be available to lead the election campaign for Punjab's provincial assembly scheduled for later this year.

The group is a by-product of al-Qaeda’s jihadi politics in Afghanistan and Pakistan after 9/11. The TTP aims to establish an Islamic political system in Pakistan based on its extreme interpretation of Sharia law. During the US invasion of Afghanistan, many terrorists that Pakistan hosted and subsequently sent over to India's Jammu and Kashmir turned against Pakistan for its support of the US operations against Taliban in Afghanistan. Pakistan hit by strong TTP challenge as minister says no to formal talks

Two terrorists arrested by the Delhi Police said they met a Pakistan Army Major while undergoing training in Pakistan, vindicating&nbsp;New Delhi’s long-held assertion that Islamabad is perpetrating terrorism in India.

They identified the army personnel after they were shown a photo of him with IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who was in Pakistani custody three years ago, the Indian Express newspaper reported citing a chargesheet filed in a Delhi court.

The two terrorists— Zeeshan Qamar (28), a resident of Allahabad in UP, and Osama alias Sami (22), a resident of Jamia Nagar in Delhi—identified Pakistani Major Hamza, a resident of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir who lives in Islamabad.

“He was the head of the training which accused Zeeshan and Osama took from one Jabbar, Rawalpindi. Hamza also told them that he was also present at the time of arrest of Wing Commander Abhinandan, who was captured at Pakistan border during retaliation of Balakot air strike. He is a Major in Pak Army,” Investigation Officer ACP Lalit Mohan Negi states in the chargesheet.

The Delhi court took note of the chargesheet on Monday that was filed on February 9 this year.

Zeeshan and Osama were arrested last year from their alleged role in a terror plot.

According to the chargesheet, Osama and Zeeshan got training in 2021 in Pakistan and were getting instructions from the Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.

“They were asked to conduct recce of suitable locations in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh for planting IEDs,” it said.

Apart from these two, the Delhi Police had also arrested Jaan Mohammed Sheikh (47) from Maharashtra, Moolchand alias Saaju (47) from UP’s Rae Bareli, Mohd Abu Bakar (23) from UP’s Bahraich and Mohd Amir Javed (31) from Lucknow, in September.

Indian Air Force (IAF) commander Abhinandan Varthaman was held captive by Pakistan for 60 hours after his aircraft was shot down in an aerial dogfight.

The Pakistan Army was forced to release him due to the extensive pressure by the Indian side along with the international intervention into the matter.

Varthaman was part of the Srinagar-based 51 squadron and had flown to thwart an aerial attack launched by the Pakistanis on February 27, 2019.

2 terrorists held in India met Pak Army Major who is seen in photo with IAF's Abhinandan

Ali Kashif Jan, the Pakistani handler of the 2016 terror attack on Pathankot air base, has been designated as a terrorist by the government.

Jan alias Jan Ali Kashif is the third terrorist to have been designated as a terrorist by the central government in the last five days.

The Union home ministry said in a notification than Jan was the handler of Punjab's Pathankot air force station terror attack in January 2016 in which seven security personnel and one civilian were killed.

Jan, 42, is the operational commander and part of the core planning committee of the dreaded terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). He continues to operate from the launching pads located in Pakistan and is involved in recruitment of cadres for their training and coordinate attack plans at targets in India, the home ministry said.

Jan is also accused in various cases registered and being investigated by the National Investigation Agency. He had been declared proclaimed offender in these cases.

After the terror attack at the Pathankot air base, a five-member team of Pakistani investigators had visited the air base and collected evidence for three days and met witnesses and survivors.

However, after the Pakistani team returned home, it put the blame on India for the attack.

Jan was born on January 30, 1982 and a resident of Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.

A Red Corner Notice was also issued against him. Jan is now 34th individual who has been designated as terrorist by the government.

On April 8, the government had designated Hafiz Talha Saeed, a key leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and the son of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks mastermind Hafiz Saeed, a terrorist.

On Monday, Pakistani national Mohiuddin Aurangzeb Alamgir, who was involved in the terror attack on a CRPF bus in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, was designated as a terrorist.

The JeM has been responsible for a series of deadly attacks in India, mostly in Jammu and Kashmir, in which scores of civilians and security personnel have been killed over the years.

JeM founder Maulana Masood Azhar, who was released by India in exchange for the release of a hijacked Indian Airlines flight from Kandahar in 1999, is one of the most wanted terrorists in India, along with LeT founder Hafiz Saeed and the LeT 'operational commander' Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.

India has been consistently seeking Azhar's custody but Pakistan has refused to comply.

The JeM is listed as a terrorist organisation under the First Schedule of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, or the UAPA.

The UAPA has been enacted to provide for more effective prevention of certain unlawful activities of associations and individuals and for dealing with terrorist activities and for matters connected therewith.

The act empowers the central government to notify the name of an individual in its Fourth Schedule if it believes that he is involved in terrorism.&nbsp;

India designates Pak handler of 2016 Pathankot air base attack as terrorist

India slammed Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), highlighting how "terrorists enjoy free pass" in the country while the lives of "ordinary people, especially those belonging to the minority communities, are turned upside down."

The remarks from India’s Permanent Mission to the UN, R Madhu Sudan, came after Pakistan raked up the Kashmir issue at the council during a debate on “protection of civilians in urban settings”.

"Member states are aware that Pakistan has an established history and policy of harbouring, aiding and actively supporting terrorists", he said on Monday.

Adding, “This is a country which has been globally recognised as one openly supporting, training, financing and arming terrorists as a matter of state policy.”

There have been a number of terror attacks in India—from the 2008 Mumbai terror attack to Uri and Pulwana attacks of 2016 and 2019—where the links with the Pakistan based terror groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba or Jaish-e-Muhammad have been established.

Other than India, there have been other international terror attacks, including the recent Texas attack, that have had links with Pakistan.

The main perpetrator of the Texas hostage incident was identified as Malik Faisal, a UK resident of Pakistani origin.

The country’s interior minister Sheikh Rasheed has warned of more terrorism-related incidents in the federal capital.

“This was not an incident of dacoity or theft. Terrorists opened fire on them [police officials]. This is a signal for us that terror incidents have started taking place in Islamabad,” he said while speaking to journalists after the deceased police officer’s funeral prayers.

Shahid Zaman, a senior Islamabad Police official, also told&nbsp;AFP&nbsp;the incident was "an act of terrorism".

The martyred police official has been identified as Head Constable Munawwar, while the injured include Amin and Rashid, a spokesperson for the police said.

The outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility of the gun battle.

TTP is an umbrella group which shares its common roots from the Afghan Taliban.

In November, Pakistan announced a month-long cease-fire with the TTP. The group has been behind numerous attacks on security forces and civilians over the last 14 years.

The cease-fire ended on December 9 and since then, the group has resumed attacks. The Taliban, who brokered the monthlong truce, have assured Islamabad that they will not allow TTP to use Afghan soil for violence in Pakistan.

Pakistani authorities say the talks with the TTP failed because they presented demands that were non-negotiable. The demands have not been publicly disclosed.

For the same reason, none of his photographs or video recordings have been disclosed to the media since his appointment as the DG ISI, according to the minister.

'No photos please': Pakistan's ISI chief Nadeen Anjum wants no coverage in media

On the 13th anniversary of the dastardly 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, India summoned a senior diplomat of the Pakistani High Commission and asked Islamabad to ensure expeditious trial in the case.

Around 166 people, including 25 foreigners, died in the attack carried out by 10 Pakistani militants associated with the terror group Lashkar-e-Tayyiba between November 26 and November 29.

In a note verbale handed over to the diplomat, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) also asked Pakistan to abide by its commitment to not allow territories under its control for terrorism against India.

“It is a matter of deep anguish that even after 13 years of this heinous terror attack, the families of 166 victims from 15 countries across the globe still await closure, with Pakistan showing little sincerity in bringing the perpetrators to justice," it said in a statement.

The MEA asserted that the terror attack was planned, executed and launched from Pakistan’s territory.

“We once again call on the government of Pakistan to give up double standards and to expeditiously bring the perpetrators of the horrific attack to justice,” it said.

“This is not just a matter of Pakistan's accountability to the families of the innocent victims who fell to terrorists, but also an international obligation,” the MEA added.

It said India will continue to make every effort to seek justice for the families of the "victims and the martyrs" of the attack.

"On the 13th anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks, the government and people of India somberly remember the victims of this dastardly attack and the valiant security personnel who laid down their lives to protect ours," the MEA said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the victims, saying that India cannot forget the wounds of the Mumbai attack.

“I pay homage to all those who died in the Mumbai attack. Many brave police personnel were also martyred in the strike. I also pay homage to them. India cannot forget the wounds of the Mumbai attack. Today's India is combating terrorism with a new policy and new ways,” the prime minister said.

It comes&nbsp;a day after the all-weather allies, Pakistan and China, offered conflicting views on the possible causes of the fatal blast. While China termed the mishap as a bomb attack, Pakistan stated that the blast was caused by a gas leak.

China is a close ally and major investor in&nbsp;Pakistan, and various anti-Pakistani government militants have in the past attacked Chinese projects.

The Chinese workers killed on the bus were employed at the Dasu hydroelectric project, part of the China-Pakistan&nbsp;Economic Corridor (CPEC), a $65 billion investment plan aiming to link western China to the southern&nbsp;Pakistani port of Gwadar.

CPEC is part of Beijing's massive Belt and Road Initiative.&nbsp;Pakistan and China have been jointly executing several high-value projects under CPEC, which was launched in 2015.

Chaudhry said&nbsp;Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan was personally supervising all developments in the matter.

"In this regard government is in close coordination with Chinese embassy, we are committed to fight menace of terrorism together," Chaudhry added in his tweet.

Zhao Lijian, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, told a regular briefing earlier on Thursday that China would cooperate closely with&nbsp;Pakistan&nbsp;in the investigation.

On Wednesday, Zhao had called the blast a "bomb attack" but&nbsp;Pakistan&nbsp;said a mechanical failure caused a gas leak that led to the explosion.

Senior Chinese diplomat Wang Yi met&nbsp;Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday and urged&nbsp;Pakistan&nbsp;to investigate the blast but he stopped short of calling it an attack, the Chinese foreign ministry said on its website.

However, Wang told Qureshi that if it was indeed an attack,&nbsp;Pakistan&nbsp;should immediately arrest the culprits and punish them severely.

Wang, who is China's State Councillor and foreign minister, said "lessons should be learned" and both sides should strengthen security measures for China-Pakistan&nbsp;cooperation projects to ensure their safe and smooth operation.

Wang and Qureshi spoke in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on the sidelines of a foreign ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

A total of 218 people, including 69 members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TLP) have been placed on the fourth schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, in the Rawalpindi division by the Punjab home department.

Citing sources, Dawn reported that besides the 69 TLP members, the names of 39 activists of the banned outfit have been sent to the Punjab home department to place them on the watch list bringing the number of the banned organisation's activists in the list in the Rawalpindi region to 108.

Out of 39 individuals, 10 belong from Attock city, 14 hail from Jhelum and 15 from Chakwal.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Imran Ahmar confirmed the placement of TLP activists on the fourth schedule, adding the police had followed all the legal procedures to include them in the list.

According to Dawn, out of the 218 individuals who were involved in harmful activities and placed on the fourth schedule, 92 were from the Rawalpindi district, 68 from Attock, 14 from Jhelum and 44 from Chakwal.

The schedule also includes an individual suspected of having links with a proscribed organisation. Moreover, 17 TLP activists have been missing from their homes as they had left their residences without intimating the police concerned.

According to the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, anyone whose name is placed on the fourth schedule is bound to inform the police before leaving their permanent residence and upon return.

An individual placed on the watch list can't leave the country as their name is also put on the Exit Control List (ECL).

The TLP was banned by the Pakistan government after anti-France protests broke out in April where the supporters of the outfit took to the streets to protests against France over caricatures of Prophet Muhammad. The protests soon turned violent and exposed the grim security situation in Pakistan.

During the violent protests, hundreds of protesters and police personnel were injured and thousands of TLP activists and supporters were arrested and booked for attacking law enforcement personnel and blocking main roads and highways.

Several police vehicles were torched, buildings were attacked and policemen were kidnapped and tortured by the activists of the TLP across the Punjab province, with at least six policemen killed and over 800 injured.

The banned party, led by cleric Khadim Hussain Rizvi gained popularity over the issue of blasphemy among the masses, specifically concerning Mumtaz Qadri, the killer of former Punjab governor Salman Taseer over blasphemy accusations.

An Anti-Terror Court in Lahore has awarded a sentence of 15 and a half years to Mumbai terror attack mastermind and banned Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed in a terror funding case.&nbsp;

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Lahore also imposed a 200,000 Pakistani rupees (PKR) fine on Saeed.

The 70-year-old radical cleric has already been convicted for 21 years imprisonment in four terror financing cases of late.

Now, Saeed will have to undergo collective imprisonment of over 36 years in five terror financing cases at the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. His punishment will run concurrently in these cases. There are reports that he is given "VIP protocol" in jail.

Saeed, an UN-designated terrorist on whom the US has placed a USD 10 million bounty, was arrested on July 17 last year in the terror financing cases.

He was sentenced to 11 years in jail by an anti-terrorism court in February this year in two terror financing cases.

In November, Saeed was sentenced to another 10 years in jail by an anti-terrorism court in two more terror financing cases.

The other four JuD leaders convicted by the court on Thursday are Hafiz Abdus Salam, Zafar Iqbal, JuD spokesperson Yahya Mujahid and Muhammad Ashraf.

Each convicted person has also been fined a PKR 200,000.

The ATC also handed down six-month imprisonment to Saeed's brother-in-law Abdul Rehman Makki in this case and imposed a fine of PKR 200,000 on him, the official said.

"Judge Ijaz Ahmed of ATC Court No 3 heard the case no 32/19 filed by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in which the verdict has been announced after the statements of witnesses were cross-examined by Saeed and others' counsels -- Naseeruddin Nayyar and Mohammad Imran Fazal Gul Advocate," the official said.

He said that the JuD leaders including Saeed were brought to the court amid high security and the media was not allowed to cover the proceedings.

A total of 41 cases have been registered by the CTD against the JuD leaders, out of which 28 have been decided while the rest are pending in the ATC courts. Five cases have been decided against Saeed so far.

Saeed-led JuD is the front organisation for the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) which is responsible for carrying out the 2008 Mumbai attack that killed 166 people, including six Americans.

The US Department of the Treasury has designated Saeed as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist. He was listed under the UN Security Council Resolution 1267 in December 2008.

The global terror financing watchdog Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is instrumental in pushing Pakistan to take measures against terrorists roaming freely in Pakistan and using its territory to carry out attacks in India.

Lakhvi had a role in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, while Sultan, once at the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission came under the scanner for his meetings with Al Qaeda's Osama Bin Laden. Sultan has been awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz, the third-highest civilian award of Pakistan. There may be more such developments coming.

These include provisions such as payment for foodstuff, rent or mortgage, medicines and medical treatment, taxes, insurance premiums, and public utility charges, or exclusively for payment of reasonable professional fees and reimbursement of incurred expenses associated with the provision of legal services, etc. 1267 sanctions include three impacts--Assets Freeze, Travel Ban and Arms Embargo.

What is the procedure?

The procedure is that someone puts in a request with the 1267 UNSC Committee, and then if all 15 members do not object within three days, approval is granted. In this case, the request came from the Imran Khan government. The provision that all 15 members should object, thus disapproval of the request requires unanimity. &nbsp;Even if one or two or even 14 members objected, it would still have come through because of this requirement.

Why did no one object to it?

UNSC committee members generally do not disapprove of basic expense requests unless they are blatantly disproportionate, because it goes into all the humanitarian and human rights angles.

They further asked, "What action has, and is, Pakistan taking against terrorist groups operating within the country in general?"

On November 26, 2008, ten terrorists trained by the Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) carried out a series of coordinated attacks against multiple targets in Mumbai including the Taj Mahal hotel, the Oberoi hotel, the Leopold Cafe, the Nariman (Chabad) House, and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus train station, killing 166 people.

In these gruesome attacks, nine terrorists were killed and the lone survivor, Ajmal Amir Kasab, was caught and was sentenced to death at Yerwada Central Jail in Pune in 2012. On November 11, 2012, Kasab was hanged in Yerawada Jail in Pune.

Pakistani authorities continue to deny culpability and are yet to take action on the multiple dossiers shared by India. A trial underway in a Pakistani anti-terrorism court against seven suspects has made little headway in more than a decade, as Pakistani officials serially question the sufficiency and legitimacy of evidence against them.

In a reminder to Khan, a Prime Minister who delivered a eulogy to Osama Bin Laden, hailing him as a "martyr" in May this year, the two MEPs said: "Terrorism is the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, often in pursuit of political or ideological aims," EU Chronicle reported.

They added that as "European politicians, we are committed to fighting against terrorism and extremist violence. We all have a responsibility to condemn terrorism and bring to justice those who perpetrate such actions."

Czarnecki and Martusciello highlighted in their letter to Khan: "On 26 November 2008, an extremist terrorist organisation, Lashkar-e-Taiba, based in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, claimed responsibility for the Mumbai bombings in which 166 innocent people were murdered, nine attackers killed, and more than 300 individuals sustained injuries."

"Subsequent documented evidence from United States intelligence reports, from India's intelligence services including DNA, photographs and identification of the origins of the attackers; and an admission by Pakistan's former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's of the country's involvement in the crimes; highlight the engagement of accomplishes in Pakistan. However, to date, the senior coordinators and promoters who orchestrated the attacks remain at large," he added.

As Europe also suffers from the impacts of horrific acts of increasingly radical and extremist jihadi attacks, the politicians said it was "essential that justice is served on those who have carried out, instructed or supported such terrorist activities. It is equally important that leaders of countries publicly condemn these acts of violence and proceed to ensure justice is done for the victims, by apprehending and sentencing the perpetrators."&nbsp;

External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said the country that provides shelter to "maximum number of UN-proscribed terrorists" should not even attempt to play the victim card.

"The whole world knows truth about Pakistan's role in supporting terrorism," he said at a media briefing while answering questions on Islamabad's reaction to the Indo-US joint statement.

"Even their leaders have time and again spoken about their role with regard to terrorism," Srivastava said.

In the joint statement, India and the US on Tuesday strongly condemned cross-border terrorism in all its forms and asked Pakistan to take "immediate, sustained and irreversible" action to ensure that no territory under its control is used for launching terror attacks. 
In its reaction, Pakistan on Wednesday called it "unwarranted" the reference made towards it.

"We reject the Pakistan-specific reference in the joint statement', issued by India and the US after their 2+2 ministerial dialogue," the Pakistan Foreign Office had said in its reaction.
