<p>In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old homeless man, Jordan Neely, who was screaming on a subway train, died on Monday afternoon when a fellow passenger grabbed him and placed him in a chokehold.</p>

<p>On Wednesday evening, his death was ruled a homicide, the city's medical examiner confirmed.</p>

<p>Neely, with a history of mental health issues, started ranting in an aggressive manner on board.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A freelance journalist Juan Alberto Vazquez was at the scene and in a conversation with New York Post, shared the details of the incident.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Vazquez said, “He starts to make a speech. He started screaming in an aggressive manner.”</p>

<p>“He said he had no food, he had no drink, that he was tired and doesn’t care if he goes to jail. He started screaming all these things, took off his jacket, a black jacket that he had, and threw it on the ground," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Triggered by the ranting, a passenger pushed Neely onto the ground and held him in a deadly chokehold for about 15 minutes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Julie Bolcer, a spokesperson for the medical examiner, Neely died from compression to his neck as a result of the chokehold.</p>

<p>The killing has led to investigations by both the police and prosecutors, according to a spokesperson for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. As of Wednesday afternoon, nobody had been arrested.</p>

<h2><strong>Who was Neely?</strong></h2>

<p>Neely, whom people knew as a Michael Jackson impersonator, used to live on the streets and had a history of mental health issues. He used to perform on the subway in exchange for money.</p>

<p>His father, Andre Zachery, said that he was only four years old when he introduced him to Jackson's music. As he grew older, he began impersonating the King of Pop.</p>

<p>“He looked just like him,” recalled Zachery. “He used to perform on the block. One day, people were loving him. Michael!”</p>

<p>“Jordan was a good man,” his grieving father told The Daily News. “He was a good person. He grew up good. He always had a (temper), but he never used to hurt anyone ... He wasn’t bad. He was beautiful.”</p>

<p>He said that his son was autistic and that the murder of his mother in the year 2007 in New Jersey affected him deeply.</p>

<p>“He didn’t care anymore after that,” he said while talking to The Daily News. “Once his mother died ... They were very close. He loved her so much that he just lost it. After we buried her, he just wasn’t the same anymore,” he revealed.</p>

<p>People worldwide took to Twitter to express dismay over the unfortunate incident and called out the unnecessary violence.</p>

District Judge Lewis Kaplan said he would give Trump until 5:00 pm (local time) on Sunday to ask to reopen his case for the sole purpose of personally testifying. Trump’s lawyer had previously said the former president has decided against testifying.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, as of Thursday, the former president’s lawyer has rested his case without calling any other witnesses. During the hearing, a social media and marketing expert hired by Carroll told jurors that it would cost the former president up to $2.8 million to repair the reputational damage of his statements against her.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The excerpt from the October video deposition also shows that Trump also mistook Carroll for an ex-wife, when he was shown a black-and-white photograph where he was seen speaking to people at an event, reported Reuters. “It’s Marla,” Trump said, referring to his second wife Marla Maples.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also went on to call Carroll’s lawyer, “You’re a political operative also. You’re a disgrace,” in the deposition taken at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, reiterating his previous statement and calling Carroll’s allegations politically motivated.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There are exceptions to the state's budget's gas ban for certain large commercial and industrial buildings, including supermarkets, hospitals, Laundromats, and restaurants. However, the effect on new residential structures could be significant. According to a report from 2022, buildings are responsible for 32 per cent&nbsp;of New York State's greenhouse gas emissions.</p>

<p>An event space in New York's hip neighbourhood saw a breathwork experience last week in which participants took part in guided breathing exercises and a vegan dinner, all while being naked. Men as well as women took part in the 'Füde Breathwork Experience' which reportedly had no sexual aspect but was aimed at connecting the participants with their "most pure authentic selves" as per the experience's founder Charlie Ann Max (29).</p>

<p>Max's love for cooking, nudity, and companionship inspired her to host her first naked group meals in 2020.</p>

<p>She now organizes four sister events in New York and Los Angeles, including The Füde Dinner Experience, The Füde Breathwork Experience, The Füde Clay Experience, and The Füde Photo Experience.</p>

<p>The name pays homage to Max's German-Jewish heritage and is pronounced like "food."</p>

<p>The participants need to pay between USD 44 to USD 88 for entry.</p>

<p>It's "definitely worth it," said Niko Jane, who participated in Friday's event, her third Füde.</p>

<p>"It's stepping out of your comfort zone in such a safe way, even though it doesn't seem like that walking in the door," said Jane. "When you get here, you're... everyone's a little timid and a little, like, slow. But I mean, the more you're here, people are just hanging out, and we just happen to be naked. It's nice to be in a space that's not sexual. Naked."</p>

<p>A breathwork facilitator guided the participants through the breathing exercise after which they had a vegan dinner of herb salad, basmati rice, and chocolate-covered strawberries.</p>

<p>Many, like Mehow Podstawski, focused instead on the breakthroughs that came from the breathwork.</p>

<p>"Out of nowhere, I realised that I was working through a fear that I didn't know I had, and I just started crying," said Podstawski. "And all of a sudden, it was like this fear that you have is so irrational that it doesn't matter, and you are powerful enough and strong enough to, like, go through this, and take on the next opportunity that comes your way because you are, you have the strength, and the only reason why you're saying 'no' is because you're scared. And so that was really nice."</p>

<p>She added, “It’s an obvious manipulation of the freedom of speech and infringement on the rights of journalists.” Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, “We won't forget, we will not forgive this,” referring to Washington’s supposed move. He also denounced it as a “stupid” failure of the US to give visas to Russian journalists.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“A country that calls itself the strongest, smartest, freest and fairest, chickened out,” said the Russian foreign minister, as per AFP, adding that this shows “the worth of their solemn assurances on freedom of speech.” This comes as Moscow has strongly tightened conditions to obtain the accreditations needed to get journalist visas in Russia.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Washington is yet to respond to these allegations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“There are no such plans. As a matter of fact, we have no agenda to be discussed by the ministers at this point,” said Ryabkov, on Sunday, ahead of the Russian delegation’s departure to New York, when asked about a possible meeting between the Russian foreign minister and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.&nbsp;</p>

‘We will not forgive’: Moscow fumes after US allegedly denied visas to Russian journalists for UN visit

<p>External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has plunged into a round of diplomacy to help resolve the Sudan crisis and protect Indians there, meeting Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and consulting several foreign ministers as international efforts ramped up on the eve of Ramadan.</p>

<p>"We, of course, have obviously a very strong interest in the matter because there are so many Indians there," he said on Thursday after his meeting with Guterres.</p>

<p>"The UN is at the heart of the efforts to establish a ceasefire. And that is really the key because at the moment, unless there is a ceasefire and unless there are corridors, it is not safe for people to come out," he told reporters.</p>

<p>Before meeting Jaishankar, Guterres appealed to the religious sentiments of the warring sides for an Eid al-Fitr ceasefire for three days to pave the way for a permanent ceasefire.</p>

<p>The next step would be to create corridors for movement and assembly points for Indian citizens to be evacuated, he said.</p>

<p>Guterres called the situation "completely outrageous" and said that the "fighting in urban areas is particularly dangerous for civilians, including children, who have repeatedly been forced to shelter in schools and evacuate from hospitals under fire."</p>

<p>He said that humanitarian operations have become impossible because of attacks on and looting of properties of relief organisations.</p>

<p>He warned, "Targeting humanitarian workers and assets must end. I remind all parties of their obligations under international law, including ensuring the safety and security of humanitarian aid workers."</p>

<p>Guterres`s Deputy Spokesperson Farzan Haq said that more than 330 people have been killed in the fighting and 3,200 people have been injured according to World Health Organisation.</p>

<p>He added that according to the UN Children`s Fund (UNICEF), at least nine children have reportedly been killed and more than 50 children injured.</p>

<p>The RSF is a paramilitary organisation that is made up primarily of a militia known as Janjaweed that fought on behalf of the Sudan government against rebels in the Darfur region.</p>

<p>Burhan and Dagalo collaborated in ousting the reviled dictator Omar al-Bashir, who is now a fugitive after&nbsp;a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court for atrocities in the Darfur region in 2019 and carried out a coup against Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok in 2021.</p>

<p>The current civil war is a setback to moves to restore democracy that received a boost when the two signed a framework agreement in December with civil groups to transition to civilian rule.</p>

<p>Battered by decades of military coups and civil wars, Sudan`s economy and society have been extremely fragile requiring international assistance to stave off starvation and the latest conflict has made the situation worse.</p>

<p>Under-Secretary-General Martin Griffiths said that 15.8 million people were in dire need of humanitarian assistance.</p>

<p>However, it is San Francisco Bay Area on the US West Coast&nbsp;that has the most billionaires in the world - 63. The&nbsp;city also has the second-most number of millionaires in the United States at 285,000. Another US city, Los Angeles, comes in sixth place, with over 205,000 HNWIs.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Japan's capital Tokyo is second in the list with 290,300 HNWIs, while London and Singapore occupy the fourth and fifth position respectively.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Three cities from China are ranked in the top 10. Hong Kong, a Special Administrative Region of China, is seventh (129,500 HNWIs), China's capital Beijing is eighth (128,200 HNWIs), while Shanghai is in the ninth position (127,200 HNWIs).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Australia's Sydney is tenth on the list, with 126,900 HNWIs living within its city limits. The city is also expected to be among the five wealthiest cities in the world by 2040, the report said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The report covers 97 cities across nine regions worldwide and includes most of the world’s top wealth hubs.</p>

<p>Interestingly, seven cities are in countries actively welcoming Foreign Direct Investment in return for residence or citizenship rights. These countries are the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and United Kingdom.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The growing economic rivalry between the US and China can also be seen in this list, as both countries also have three cities each in the 10 fastest growing millionaire hotspots.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At 105 percent, Hangzhou, a city in eastern China, has seen the highest growth in HNWIs since 2012. High-tech capital, Shenzhen, and the port city of Guangzhou have also enjoyed significant rise in HNWIs since 2012, at 98 percent and 86 percent, respectively.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The three fastest growing millionaire hotspots in the US are Austin (102 percent growth in resident HNWIs), West Palm Beach (90 percent), and Scottsdale (88 percent).&nbsp;</p>

<p>On a per-capita basis, Monaco, the tiny city-state in Europe, is the wealthiest in the world. According to the report, the average wealth of a person living in Monaco exceeds $10 million.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The sandwich is filled with thick slices of rare Caciocavallo Podolico Cheese, made in Southern Italy from the milk of the Podolica cow, [which grazes] free-range, feeding on strongly aromatic grasses such as fennel, licorice, juniper, laurel bay, and wilder strawberries, infusing the milk with these sweet aromatic perfumes," the restaurant told the Entrepreneur magazine.&nbsp;There are&nbsp;roughly 25,000 of these cows in the world and they only lactate during the months of May and June, they added.</p>
