In a video message shared on Twitter, the 52-year-old star recalled a conversation he had with a Mumbai police officer yesterday, who is also a good friend of the actor, and said that the conservation gave him a new insight into the situation."Akshay, you people are scared to come out of your homes, and the irony is we are afraid to go home. We do not want to transfer any sort of disease to our family as we are on the streets the whole day, meeting different kinds of people," Akshay quoted his friend in the police as saying.</p>

<p>Mumbai Police on Wednesday allegedly booked choreographer and director Ganesh Acharya on charges of sexually harassing a 33-year-old woman choreographer.<br />

Earlier last week the woman filed a complaint in regard to the Maharashtra State Women's Commission (MHSWC) and Amboli Police Station.MHSWC later took cognisance of the complaint and appointed a councillor to look into the case.<br />

The complainant alleged that Acharya, who is also the General Secretary of Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association (IFTCA), forced her to watch adult videos and also deprived her of work.<br />
<br />
The complainant who was a choreographer at the IFTCA also alleged that since she did not agree to Acharya's terms, he sought revenge from her and got her IFTCA membership suspended and further issued a letter to choreographers instructing them not to work with her.<br />
<br />
The woman further claimed that she was attacked by Acharya's teammates on his instructions when she reached a meeting of IFTCA to put forward her points following her suspension.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the next six months, Mumbai police will comprise of 30 horses apart from a sub-inspector, one assistant PSI, four havildars and 32 constables.&nbsp;<br />

"At present, 13 horses have been purchased and the rest will be bought in the next six months. A stable will be built on a 2.5-acre plot at Marol (in suburban Andheri)," Anil Deshmukh informed.<br />

Mumbai will get a mounted police unit for traffic and crowd control, which will happen after a gap of 88 years. The horses will be deployed on duty after taking part in the Republic day parade on 26 January at Shivaji Park this year said the Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said on Sunday.<br />

The unit would patrol the streets of the metropolis city which was disbanded in 1932 because of growing vehicular traffic.&nbsp;<br />
&nbsp;<br />
"Today Mumbai police have modern jeeps and motorcycles. However, it was felt that a mounted police unit would be useful for crime patrol in crowded areas. Accordingly, for the first time since Independence, Mumbai will have mounted police unit," he told reporters at a press conference.&nbsp;<br />
&nbsp;<br />
He claimed that policeman on horseback is equal to 30 personnel on the ground. He also mentioned that horses can be used for crowd control during festivals and marches, at beaches and riders can keep watch from a good height.&nbsp;<br />

The units can be also used in cities like Pune and Nagpur, among others as well.</p>

Mumbai will get a mounted police unit for traffic and crowd control, which will happen after a gap of 88 years. The horses will be deployed on duty after taking part in the Republic day parade on 26 January at Shivaji Park this year said the Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said on Sunday. The unit would patrol the streets of the metropolis city which was disbanded in 1932 because of growing vehicular traffic. "Today Mumbai police have modern jeeps and motorcycles. However, it was felt that a mounted police unit would be useful for crime patrol in crowded areas. Accordingly, for the first time since Independence, Mumbai will have mounted police unit," he told reporters at a press conference. He claimed that policeman on horseback is equal to 30 personnel on the ground. He also mentioned that horses can be used for crowd control during festivals and marches, at beaches and riders can keep watch from a good height. The units can be also used in cities like Pune and Nagpur, among others as well.

<p>In a precautionary measure, a public holiday as also been declared today after which, all government and private school, colleges to remain closed today.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted "Intermittent rain in city and suburbs, with heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places" for the next 24 hours.</p>

<p>Mumbai police also advised Mumbaikars to stay inside or check weather updates before heading out.</p>

<p>"Heavy to very heavy rains expected in Mumbai and Mumbai Metropolitan Area in the next 3 days as per intimation received from IMD. We request Mumbaikars to check weather updates and plan the day accordingly. Take care and stay safe," Mumbai Police tweeted from their official Twitter.</p>

<p>The police in Assam have used Twitter humour to inform about a drug consignment it caught recently. It has even gone forward asking the owner of the consignment to "get in touch".</p>

<p>"Anyone lost a huge (590 kgs) amount of Cannabis/Ganja and a truck in and around Chagolia Checkpoint last night?" Assam Police said in the tweet posted on Tuesday. "Don't panic, we found it. Please get in touch with @Dhubri_Police. They will help you out, for sure," the police further said in the tweet ending the sentence with a wink smiley.</p>

<p>It also congratulated the police team in Dhubri for seizing the drugs.</p>

<p>The photo in the tweet has a stack of bags which contains cannabis. The seizure happened after swift action of the Assam Police on drug peddlers.</p>

However, the police booked the two under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code for creating panic in public.<br />

<p>After nearly a week, on December 4, since he remained untraced and the family suspected something amiss, the police registered a kidnapping case.</p>

<p>His driver told the police that Udani asked him to be dropped near the Pant Nagar market where another vehicle came and he got into it.</p>

<p>His highly decomposed body, without any apparent injuries, was found late on December 5 and bereft of any identity paper. He was identified by his son from the clothes and shoes he was wearing.</p>

<p>Investigators suspect Udani`s kidnappers may have killed him at some other location before dumping the body in the Panvel forests.</p>

<p>Police investigations and call data records have revealed that Udani was a regular at some bars and in touch with several women, including those from the glamour and entertainment industry, through Sachin Pawar, a former aide to a Maharashtra Minister, Prakash Mehta. Pawar was said to be closely acquainted with Udani. He was earlier with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).</p>

<p>Police have questioned two dozen persons and are on the lookout for the vehicle which picked up the victim on the night he went missing.</p>

<p>Tuli said he decided to surrender after his bail plea got rejected by a Mumbai sessions court.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking to media persons, Tuli had cited,&rdquo;I have come to surrender since my bail plea got rejected. I was waiting for the anticipatory bail in Amritsar.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Tuli had been on the run - around the country - since his name was included in the FIR on January 6 as one of the people accused.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A &#39;look out notice&#39; had also been issued against him at all the airports in the country.</p>

<p>As per media reports, Tuli had earlier managed to give slip to the police thrice in last two weeks before surrendering himself today.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After the arrest of Tuli, all the owners of the Mojo&rsquo;s Bistro and &lsquo;1 Above&rsquo; have been arrested.</p>

<p>Nearly 14 people died and 21 were left injured after a deadly fire engulfed Mojo&rsquo;s Bistro and the adjacent 1 Above pub, at the Kamala Mills compound on December 28 last year.&nbsp;<br />
