Alien technology could be lurking deep under the oceans. It is an eternal quest the hunt for life outside planet Earth.

Scientist claims alien tech found in 2014 meteor

One of the biggest mysteries in the world and the question is whether or not we are alone in the universe are there other intelligent beings looking up into the night from a different planet or universe and asking the same questions about us well we might have found the answer check out this story to find out more about how alien technology could be lurking not up in the sky but deep into the sea.

As the mystery of aliens deepened in Las Vegas after a UFO sighting was reported and extraterrestrial beings were claimed to have been seen by people, NASA has said that the UFO seen was nothing but a meteor.

The issue arose after the police department of Las Vegas received a call from a man who said that an object fell from the sky and claimed to have seen an eight-foot-tall alien standing in his backyard.

The startled resident of Las Vegas, while speaking to a 911 dispatcher, said, “It has big eyes and it’s looking at us." As per reports, the report appeared credible to the officers and they responded to the scene on May 1.

The footage was recorded on the fireball logs of the American Meteor Society’s fireball logs but was not added to those of NASA’s Center for Near Earth Object Studies, or CNEOS.

“The CNEOS website only captures reports for objects that are estimated to have exceeded one metre in size based on the observed total energy released—in other words natural objects which were large enough to be categorised as asteroids prior to entering Earth’s atmosphere,” explained Johnson.

NASA terms 'UFO sighting' in Las Vegas a 'bright meteor', but cops hope to trace aliens

An asteroid with around 200-feet diameter, said to be big enough to wipe out an entire city, will pass through Earth and the Moon’s orbit on March 25 while missing both, NASA has said.

The asteroid will pose no problems to both celestial bodies, but it will offer a chance for astronomers to study a space rock from just over 168,000 kilometres (100,000 miles) away.

While asteroids flying by Earth are common, NASA said that the one approaching the planet is so big that it is rare for a space rock of such size to come so close. They said that such a phenomenon happens only once a decade.

Watch | Meteor lights up sky in Norway, prompting search for meteorites

Extra-terrestrial water was found in a meteorite which landed last year in a driveway in the UK’s Cotswold town of Winchcombe. Reportedly, the Winchcombe meteorite is dubbed one of the most famous meteorites in the UK. However, it was not until recently that researchers found that at least 12% of the sample was made up of water.

The meteorite could possibly give a clue to scientists on where the Earth’s vast oceans originate from. According to a report by The Independent, Ashley King, a researcher in the planetary materials group at the Natural History Museum said that not only is the specimen made up of 12% water, but it is also one of the least contaminated ones found to date.

King also indicated that the composition of the water found in the Winchcombe meteorite is “very very similar” to Earth’s oceans. “It's a really good piece of evidence that asteroids and bodies like Winchcombe made a very important contribution to the Earth's oceans,” he said at the British Science Festival. One of the reasons why the half-kilogram meteorite was not that contaminated is because it was retrieved within 12 hours of crashing, King confirmed.

According to the researcher, this is the first time a meteorite containing extra-terrestrial water has fallen in the UK, however, it is locked up in minerals. In an interview, he reportedly said that “one of the big questions we have in planetary sciences is where did the water on Earth come from? And one of the obvious places is either through comets that have loads and loads of ice in them or asteroids.”

He added, “There's always a debate - were comets the main source, were asteroids the main source?” Notably, a meteorite is a small piece of space debris which was a part of a larger asteroid, comet or meteoroid which did not get destroyed while entering the Earth’s atmosphere. According to the Natural History Museum meteorites are traditionally named after the place they were found.

He also went on to explain that according to comet research the composition of water on comets, at least the few that have fallen on Earth does not match the planet’s ocean water. However, “The composition of the water in Winchcombe is a much better match, so that would imply that asteroids - carbonaceous asteroids - were probably the main source of water to the inner solar system, to the Earth,” said King.

According to King, the asteroid from which the meteorite landed in the UK in February 2021 must have originated at least 4.6 billion years ago, at the very beginning of the Solar System. While the meteorite may have taken nearly 3,00,000 years from somewhere near Jupiter to land on Earth.
Scientists to fish a meteorite from the depths of Pacific Ocean using giant magnets

In what scientists believe was likely a meteor drop, New Zealanders across the North Island have reported rumbling, crackling sounds, a fireball and a huge flash of light streaking across the sky on Thursday afternoon. Local media outlets and social media were flooded with reports and queries about the sight, with some witnesses describing rumbles, bangs, a crackling sound in their ears, hair standing on end, rattling windows or a streak or explosion of light, followed by a smoke trail, as reported by The Guardian.

Plumber Curtis Powell captured the phenomenon on his dashcam while driving north of Shannon at 1:39 pm on Thursday. “We were just driving to a job in Shannon when I saw a blue line falling in the sky, then a massive bright light,” he said. “Realised my dashcam was recording and downloaded the video – once-in-a-lifetime spectacle.”

On social media, people shared photos and swapped stories of their sightings. “I’m so glad someone caught it … I thought I was hallucinating,” said one commenter. A number of people mistook the rumbling sound for an earthquake. “We thought it was an earthquake, but it didn’t sound right, more like a large heavy truck, with a beat, but there were no trucks near our house at the time.
As reported by The Guardian, some eyewitnesses described hearing crackling as the object moved through the sky, in what Steel said was likely “electrophonic sound”. Allan Gilmore of Canterbury University’s Mt John Observatory said in a radio interview that meteors, and their accompanying electrical charge, could cause some people’s hair to stand on end. “People with frizzy hair often hear it, while the people who don’t have frizzy hair don’t hear it,” Gilmore said.

This meteor, Tau Herculids, is fragment of the parent comet 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann 3 (SW3).

Two German astronomers— Arnold Schwassmann and Arno Arthur Wachmann of Hamburg Observatory—had found this comet in 1930. It orbits the sun every 5.4 years.

But being so faint, SW3 wasn’t seen again until the late 1970s, seeming pretty normal until 1995, when astronomers realised the comet had become about 600 times brighter and went from a faint smudge to being visible with the naked eye during its passage.

Upon further investigation, astronomers realised that SW3 had shattered into several pieces, littering its own orbital trail with debris.

By the time it passed our way again in 2006, it was in nearly 70 pieces, and has continued to fragment further since then.

And the comet will be in our evening sky again in July and August 2022.

Bill Cooke, who leads NASA’s Meteoroid Environment Office, said, “This is going to be an all or nothing event. If the debris from SW3 was traveling more than 220 miles per hour (354 kph) when it separated from the comet, we might see a nice meteor shower.
Residents of Karachi in Pakistan were thrilled to see a meteor lighting up the sky on Saturday (January 29). The falling fireball meteor was recorded by many (who could quickly take sights off the wonderful event and take out their phones). Social media buzzed with photos and videos of the meteoroid falling from the sky.

It has been reported that the falling meteor was visible in the sky around 7:15 pm local time. It was seen not only from Karachi but from some other parts of Sindh province as well. It was seen by many people and local astronomers reportedly confirmed that it was really a space rock burning through Earth's atmosphere.

Such a phenomenon is often called a 'falling star' because it really appears as if a star is falling from the sky. It is also held in many cultures that if you make a wish when you see a falling star, it becomes a reality.

Scientifically speaking, a meteoroid is just a space rock that is drawn to Earth due to gravity. As it falls towards the Earth, it travels through Earth's atmosphere. The immense friction this process causes generates a lot of heat and the meteoroid can be seen glowing as falls. Most meteoroids burn up before reaching the surface of the Earth. But if they are of sufficient size, small parts do fall on Earth. These are then called 'meteorites'.

Watching meteors burning through the sky sure makes for a beautiful sight. But meteoroids of very big size can also collide with Earth to wipe humanity off the only planet it calls home.

A large meteor illuminated the night sky in Norway early on Sunday morning. At least some of it seems to have also come rumbling down near Oslo, the capital of the country. Steinar Midtskogen, a spokesperson for Norwegian Meteor Network, told CNN, “The meteor lit up the sky for a brief time as if broad daylight just after 1 am.” In an email, Midtskogen said, "A minute later or more a loud rumbling sound could be heard over a large area, perhaps up to 100 km away from where the meteor was seen straight overhead."
New research has shown that dinosaurs may have been in decline millions of years before the meteor strike often attributed to their extinction.

The Chicxulub meteor, which slammed into what is now Mexico's Yucatan peninsula around 66 million years ago, is thought to have led to the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event that killed off three-quarters of life on Earth, dinosaurs included.

Now new research suggests that a number of species of the terrible lizards may have been declining up to 10 million years before the meteor strike.

Research published in the journal Nature examined data from 1600 dinosaur remains found across the planet to model how common certain species of carnivorous and herbivorous dinosaurs were in the late Cretaceous.

The team found that species decline began around 76 million years ago.

Fabien Condamine, from the University of Montpellier's Institute of Evolutionary Science and lead study author, said his team had followed the decline of six families of dinosaurs, comprising nearly 250 distinct species.

"We have a peak in diversity around 76 million years ago," he told said.

"Then there's a decline that lasts 10 million years -- that's more than the entire duration of the Homo genus."

The team found two possible explanations for the falling dinosaur diversity identified in the fossil records and their own computer modelling.

For one, the pace of the species decline corresponded with a strong cooling of the global climate around 75 million years ago, when temperatures fell up to eight degrees Celsius.

Condamine said that dinosaurs were adapted to a mesothermal climate -- predominantly warm and damp -- that had prevailed for tens of millions of years throughout their time on Earth.

The second possible decline explanation came as something of shock to the team.

Whereas both herbivores and carnivores would have been expected to be impacted at roughly the same time, the team found a two-million year lag between their respective declines.

"So the decline of the herbivores, which were the prey, would therefore have cascaded into a decline in meat-eaters," said Condamine.

The study concluded that not only did a cooling climate and reduced diversity among herbivores lead to the dinosaurs' slow decline, it also left the various species unable to recover after the meteor strike.

The Earth is going to witness a breathtaking meteor shower this weekend.

This spectacular show -- the Geminid meteor shower -- is expected to go on till December 14.

The first photo of the event was taken by a Japanese weather satellite and published only this week.
