<p>On Friday, artist agency Big Hit Music announced that Jin's first solo single's sales have surpassed more than one million copies, which makes the pop sensation the third solo artist in K-pop history to sell over one million copies of an album.</p>

<p>According to Gaon Chart, an outstanding total of 1,024,382 copies of 'The Astronaut' have been sold so far. It was released on October 28, 2022.</p>

<p>Co-written by Jin, British rock band Coldplay, and Norwegian DJ Kygo, the single talks about Jin's affection for his fans.&nbsp;</p>

He then said, “To have someone you love or someone precious to you be infected with a virus is a heartbreaking thing. Despite that fact, there are so many people who are still roaming the streets, acting as if it won’t ever happen to them. Many of my acquaintances and staff are also seeing their loved ones testing positive for the virus … Although this prank went quite far for a simple April Fool’s joke, many people still became worried about me in a short period.”</p>

<p>He added, “This is definitely not something that only happens to other people. I wanted to tell everyone that protecting yourself is also the solution to protecting others. I will receive all punishment that I am due for this post. I hope you will all stay healthy.”</p>

<p>Former Big Bang member Seungri whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun, was indicted on charges of <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/k-pop-big-bang-member-booked-on-alleged-sex-bribery-company-shares-drop-202510">violating laws on prostitution</a>, <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/k-pop-star-seungri-accused-of-illicit-gambling-246118">illegal gambling</a> and foreign currency trading.</p>

<p>On Tuesday, the state-run Military Manpower Administration announced that it has sent Seungri documents asking him to report for 21 months of mandatory military service, a requirement for all able-bodied men in South Korea because prosecutors had ended their investigation of him.</p>

<p>In a statement, the Military Manpower Administration said that it was concerned a protracted trial in civilian courts would hamper its effort to equally apply the military obligation on Seungri, 29.</p>

<p>It said Seungri’s case will be handed over to a military court if he joins the military.</p>

<p>For those unversed, in South Korea, men eligible for military service are allowed to delay their conscription five times under certain conditions before they become 3. This delayed time can, however, not exceed two years.</p>

<p>According to a new announcement, South Korean boy group EXO member Chen has something sweet up his sleeve. He will soon be getting married to his girlfriend who is not from the world of fame as they expect their first child together.</p>

<p>Chen, whose real name is Kim Jongdae made the happy announcement via a handwritten letter to EXO's fancafe. He wrote in the letter that he has a ‘girlfriend’ with whom he would like to be with “the rest of [his] life”.</p>

<p>Chen wrote that he has discussed his decision with his management company SM Entertainment and his fellow EXO members before choosing to share the news publicly.</p>

<p>Soon after his public announcement came, SM Entertainment also released a statement confirming that Chen will be marrying his girlfriend in a private ceremony.</p>

<p>EXO fans, known as EXO-Ls, have come out in support of their idol. This comes as a major surprise because on earlier occasions, fans have criticised the pop industry stars for marrying or choosing to date publicly.</p>
