<p>You might have heard of Akshay Kumar’s professionalism and punctuality but he gave a live example to his director recently while shooting for upcoming film ‘Good Newwz’.</p>

Kareena Kapoor Khan turns 39, celebrates birthday at Pataudi Palace with family

<p>Ahead of her grand TV debut on reality show 'Dance India Dance', Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is being touted as the highest paid female star on TV, says she deserves what she is being paid.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/kareena-kapoor-to-make-her-debut-on-tv-on-reality-show-dance-india-dance-217310">Kareena will be one of judges on the show</a> and there are&nbsp;reports that the 38-year-old actor's pay is the highest for any female actor's stint on TV.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
"The pay package has to be a good amount because you put in a lot of hardwork on TV. If a male judge is getting so much, a female judge can also.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
"It is the first time ever that any mainstream actress has forayed into TV, a dance reality show, at this point in her career. I've got what I completely deserve and for the hours that I will put in," she said while promoting the show during a media interaction.<br />
<br />
The actor said before the Zee TV reality series, she was offered many shows but had to turn them down as they required long working hours.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
"TV has very long hours of timing, 12-14 hours and I don't work more than 8 hours after Taimur's birth. I'm a working mother and I have to be home with him. I like to be at home before he eats his dinner.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
"That's the time I don't want to be with anyone other than him and my family. That was the only hurdle we had to cross with 'Dance India Dance' because they had to shoot for 12 hours. We are balancing it out."<br />
<br />
She will be judging the show along with choreographer Bosco Martis and rapper Raftaar.&nbsp;</p>

Ahead of her grand TV debut on reality show 'Dance India Dance', Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is being touted as the highest paid female star on TV, says she deserves what she is being paid. Kareena will be one of judges on the show and there are reports that the 38-year-old actor's pay is the highest for any female actor's stint on TV. "The pay package has to be a good amount because you put in a lot of hardwork on TV. If a male judge is getting so much, a female judge can also. "It is the first time ever that any mainstream actress has forayed into TV, a dance reality show, at this point in her career. I've got what I completely deserve and for the hours that I will put in," she said while promoting the show during a media interaction. The actor said before the Zee TV reality series, she was offered many shows but had to turn them down as they required long working hours. "TV has very long hours of timing, 12-14 hours and I don't work more than 8 hours after Taimur's birth. I'm a working mother and I have to be home with him. I like to be at home before he eats his dinner. "That's the time I don't want to be with anyone other than him and my family. That was the only hurdle we had to cross with 'Dance India Dance' because they had to shoot for 12 hours. We are balancing it out." She will be judging the show along with choreographer Bosco Martis and rapper Raftaar. They can be easily termed as frenemies. Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor have always been pitted against each other. The two actresses may have worked on projects together, but they have never been friends.

They can be easily termed as frenemies. Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor have always been pitted against each other. The two actresses may have worked on projects together, but they have never been friends. So when Karan Johar decided to bring the two divas together for his show 'Koffee With Karan', it definitely did raise a few eyebrows. Johar shared photos from the set of the show as he posed with the two actresses who look absolutely gorgeous. Priyanka, who got married to Nick Jonas earlier this month, wore a yellow pantsuit while Kareena opted for a sequined burgundy gown. View this post on Instagram SEASON FINALE!!! Koffee With Karan: Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor to raise the temperatures on the season finale

<p>Kareena Kapoor Khan has lauded the women who have had the courage to share their stories about harassment at the workplace. Kareena, who has till now maintained silence on the matter, spoke at length about the movement at an event on Tuesday in Mumbai.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
The 'Veere Di Wedding' star stated that it is important to address these issues as the stories do provide impetus to women to speak up.<br />
<br />
Kareena, who was speaking at the launch of her new radio show `What Women Want`, was asked if women require more than what the industry is giving in terms of security and safety."The fact that so many women have come out and spoken is a start. Earlier people have not spoken for years and today, people have come out and I really appreciate the women who had the courage to stand up and talk and that is going to help all of us change our workplace culture and give us security," replied the actor.<br />
<br />
"And whoever it is, big or small, there is no place (for them), it has to be safe. It doesn`t matter if you are the biggest superstar or the smallest, but women have to be secure and the most important thing is that we have to keep the momentum going. We have to keep the conversation alive and once we keep that alive, a lot will change," Kareena added.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Kareena appreciated the change that the industry has witnessed over the past few months and said, "A lot has been assessed and a lot of stand has been taken. I am sure legal course is also being taken. So many women have spoken out and so much has happened. For years, people would hide behind the curtains but today, we are openly having a discussion about it. So, it`s a huge change."<br />
<br />
The #MeToo movement, which began in Hollywood more than a year ago, gathered steam in India after actor Tanushree Dutta accused co-star Nana Patekar of allegedly harassing her on the sets of `Horn Ok Pleassss` in 2008. Since then, women from various walks of life, especially the media and entertainment industry have levelled allegations of sexual misconduct against Subhash Ghai, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, Chetan Bhagat, Sajid Khan, and Varun Grover among others even as they all have denied the charge.</p>

For years, people would hide behind the curtains but today, we are openly having a discussion about it. So, it`s a huge change." The #MeToo movement, which began in Hollywood more than a year ago, gathered steam in India after actor Tanushree Dutta accused co-star Nana Patekar of allegedly harassing her on the sets of `Horn Ok Pleassss` in 2008. Since then, women from various walks of life, especially the media and entertainment industry have levelled allegations of sexual misconduct against Subhash Ghai, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, Chetan Bhagat, Sajid Khan, and Varun Grover among others even as they all have denied the charge. 'Veere Di Wedding' box office collections: Film mints Rs 56 crore in the first week of release

<p>If you have watched 'Veere Di Wedding', you must have gushed over Kareena Kapoor's bridal attire. The actress looked breathtaking in a ivory and yellow lehenga in the final scene, in which her character Kalindi gets married to beau Rishabh (Sumeet Vyas).&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Interestingly, much like in the film, the lehenga is 25 years old. In the film, Kalindi wears her mother's wedding lehenga. In reality, the outfit is from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's vintage collection.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
In an Instagram story shared on social media, Sandeep explained, ''Veere's wedding garment is actually a vintage garment of Abu Sandeep. It's something that we made 25 years ago. It was lying in our coffers...Rhea came to the factory and we started digging out a whole trunk and and taking out old pieces. So then, we just reinvented it. The skirt remains the same. The blouse remains pretty much the same. Of course, it was altered to Kareena's size.Then we created a dupatta and just modernised it slightly. At the wedding time (in the movie), everybody is in AJSK vintage, which is great fun.''&nbsp;</p>

Kareena Kapoor's wedding dress in 'Veere Di Wedding' is actually 25-years old

<p>Riding on the success of her latest film Veere Di Wedding, Kareena Kapoor now defends her take on feminism even after being trolled voraciously on social media.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When asked what she thought about trolls targeting her in lieu of her feminism statement, Kareena said, “What was wrong in the feminism statement? I’d still say that I believe in equality and there’s nothing wrong in it. Most people think that feminism means male bashing and it makes women superior. That’s what they’ve always meant, otherwise why would they be fighting on Twitter every time.”</p>

<p>Elaborating what she meant when she said she is not a feminist, Kareena said, “However, I would also like to add, that in a way, I am a bit of a feminist but I am a feminist in the right way. I’m not trying to say that men are lesser, because they are not. I believe it takes two to tango in any kind of a relationship. But then, main kuch bhi statement bolun, trolls toh shuru ho jate hain (whatever I say, trolling will start), especially when it comes to feminism.”</p>

<p>On if her words were misconstrued, Kareena said, “It’s fine. It doesn’t matter. The fact is, I do believe in equality. I do believe it takes a man and a woman to set an example. If you don’t have support from a man and vice versa, it would be difficult to have a family. I don’t want to get associated with any ‘isms’..I mean, why does something have to have a name or a tag?”</p>

<p>Meanwhile, for all those who don’t know what she said exactly that became a hot topic for memes, Kareena in a film promotion of Veere Di Wedding said, “I am not a feminist I believe in equality.”</p>

But then, main kuch bhi statement bolun, trolls toh shuru ho jate hain (whatever I say, trolling will start), especially when it comes to feminism.” On if her words were misconstrued, Kareena said, “It’s fine. It doesn’t matter. The fact is, I do believe in equality. I do believe it takes a man and a woman to set an example. If you don’t have support from a man and vice versa, it would be difficult to have a family. I don’t want to get associated with any ‘isms’..I mean, why does something have to have a name or a tag?” Meanwhile, for all those who don’t know what she said exactly that became a hot topic for memes, Kareena in a film promotion of Veere Di Wedding said, “I am not a feminist I believe in equality.”

Kareena Kapoor on being trolled for her take on feminism: What was wrong in the statement?
