<p>The flight was initially planned for October 31. However, it had to be postponed. First because of the weather, then a "minor medical issue" affecting one of the crew. NASA did not say who it was but said it was not COVID-related.&nbsp;</p>

Russian film crew docks on ISS manually to make first movie in space

<p>Russian actress Yulia Peresild along with director Klim Shipenko are&nbsp;set to be launched on Soyuz spacecraft next week for the International Space Station(ISS) as Putin's regime races to beat Hollywood by making a movie in space which will be the world's first.</p>

<p>Yulia Peresild, 37, will be on the 12-day mission to space with Shipenko. The movie is reportedly based on a doctor who goes to the international space station to save a cosmonaut. The title of the movie is reportedly called &nbsp;'Challenge'.</p>

<p>Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise had earlier announced a mega movie to be shot aboard the International Space Station (ISS). NASA had said the "Mission Impossible" star and his team will be shooting the film on the ISS which is reportedly a mega Universal project.</p>

<p>Universal Pictures was reportedly set to layout a budge of $200 million for the project.</p>

Cracks on ISS a 'serious issue', says former NASA astronaut

<p>French astronaut Thomas Pesquet is known for posting mesmerising pics on his Instagram account. The astronaut, who is at International Space Station (ISS) has again&nbsp;posted an intriguing entry on Instagram. Pesquet often posts photos of Earth from the ISS. Many of his posts have shown beauty of the outer space. But this time, he has chosen to take a few snaps of the very vehicle that has enabled him to take pics that are literally out of this world.</p>

<p>Pesquet has focussed his lens on ISS service module's solar panels, the mighty wings that sustain it by receiving solar energy. In the pics, not only the solar panels are shining in all their glory but are resplendent in bluish hue that is likely a reflection of our blue planet.</p>

<p>Pesquet has posted two images. In one, collection of thousands of panels is seen with Earth in the background. But Pesquet has also zoomed in and has let the camera lens unravel the intriguing beauty of individual panels. The panels retain the blue hue and the picture seems as if a wing of a butterfly has been magnified to absorb the intricate beauty.</p>

<p>Communication with the crew was lost for several minutes twice during the disruption, but "there was no immediate danger at any time to the crew," Montalbano said. He said "the crew really didn't feel any movement."</p>

<p>Russia's brand new <a href="https://www.wionews.com/science/russias-heavy-lift-proton-m-carrier-rocket-blasts-off-with-iss-module-nauka-399547">'<strong>Nauka'</strong></a> laboratory module meant for the International Space Station(ISS) had blasted off from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan last week aboard the<strong> Proton rocket </strong>after years of delay.</p>

<p>Russian scientists hope to ingrate the floating research laboratory with the <strong>ISS</strong>. Nauka is reportedly a 42-feet-long module weighing 20 tonnes. It was set to launch in 2007 but was reportedly delayed due to technical issues.</p>

<p>‘Nauka’ which in Russian means Science is Russia's most ambitious research facility in space and is fitted with an oxygen generator, robotic cargo crane, a toilet&nbsp;and a bed for <strong>Russian astronauts</strong>.</p>

<p>The Russian module will&nbsp;initially be used as a docking facility and for conducting experiments as the crew works in it. It will also provide astronauts with additional <strong>cargo storage space</strong> including oxygen regeneration equipment.</p>

<p>The high-tech <strong>research lab</strong> will be attached to the Zvezda module after it reaches ISS on Thursday. The lab will serve the Russian segment of the space station.</p>

<p>The space lab had spent a large amount of time grounded on Earth as Russian scientists updated its systems. The space vehicle missed a number of launch deadlines since 2007 with problems detected in its <strong>propulsion system </strong>and contaminated propellant tank.</p>

<p>The multipurpose laboratory has an active docking port and an airlock which will be handled by the <strong>European Robotic Arm</strong>.</p>

<p>It will replace the <strong>Pirs module </strong>after detaches from the ISS on Friday and burns up over the Earth's atmosphere above&nbsp;the Pacific Ocean. &nbsp;</p>

The space lab had spent a large amount of time grounded on Earth as Russian scientists updated its systems. The space vehicle missed a number of launch deadlines since 2007 with problems detected in its propulsion system and contaminated propellant tank. The multipurpose laboratory has an active docking port and an airlock which will be handled by the European Robotic Arm. <p>He said the four men had only been together a 'handful of times'&nbsp;because of the Covid-19 pandemic but would take a 'bonding'&nbsp;camping trip in Alaska in July.</p>

<p>Lopez-Alegria said he will start full-time training in August and Connor, the mission pilot, will begin in September.</p>

<p>Starting in October, all four will begin Houston-based training on the ISS systems and SpaceX's Crew Dragon capsule.</p>

<p>Axiom&nbsp;Space&nbsp;considers the mission a first step in its plan to build the first commercial&nbsp;space&nbsp;station.</p>

<p>Asked about the cost of Ax-1, Suffredini said we 'generally don't talk about specific pricing.'</p>

<p>'It's been widely reported -- numbers in the tens of millions -- which I wouldn't argue with,'&nbsp;he said.</p>

<p>Hard capture, the second stage, occurred about 10 minutes later, when 12 hooks were securely attached between&nbsp;Endeavour&nbsp;and the&nbsp;ISS's forward port.</p>

<p>The vestibule between the capsule is now being pressurized so that the hatches of both&nbsp;Endeavour&nbsp;and the&nbsp;space&nbsp;station can be opened.</p>

<p>The hatches should be opened around 7:15 am (1115 GMT), with a welcoming ceremony to follow at 7:45 am.</p>

<p>The&nbsp;Crew-2 mission, which includes the first European, Thomas Pesquet of France, blasted off from pad 39A at the Kennedy&nbsp;Space&nbsp;Center in Florida before dawn on Friday.</p>

<p>The mission is notable because it is first to rely on a previously deployed booster and a capsule that had also been used before</p>

<p>"(It is) really helping us to see the full capability and really realizing the dreams that we had when we started this effort, about 10 years ago with SpaceX," NASA's certification manager for SpaceX Tom Simon told AFP.</p>
