In his YouTube channel, Butt said, "Sanju Samson seems like a lazy batsman to me. When you know you are not able to pick a bowler (Wanindu Hasaranga), you should keep your pad ahead of the bat and play him out. But still, he was trying to play the ball on the back foot, and that too across the line. So, what happened what that Samson completely missed the ball and was trapped in front."

"It's a little different once you know your target. It was a small target, so once you hit one boundary then you don't need to take a lot of risks. "We were short by 15-20 runs, but we had a fighting total. Everybody could have taken a little more responsibility but this happens in the game of cricket.

We lost two-three wickets more than we wanted to, but we backed our team and wanted to execute whatever we had."

Bumrah, who perhaps has the best yorker among current bowlers conceded that it wasn't an easy wicket to bat on.

"I was just focusing on what my strengths are what the wicket was because the wicket was a little difficult to bat on. It's not easy to score heavily on this wicket," Bumrah, who returned to action after a being rested following the Test series in Australia, said.

Dhoni refused to take singles to guard Yuzvendra Chahal in the last two overs.

"We were just trying our best. He was just trying to take the game deep and trying to get us to a safe total which he tried. I think he gave us a total something we could fight for."&nbsp;

Opener KL Rahul hit a fifty on his comeback and he said it would increase the competition for the opener's slot which is good.

New Zealand's Eastern District police have sent a warning to its citizens about the exploits of the Indian cricket team, which is touring the country to play a five-match one-day series and three-match T20 series.

Openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan inspired the 90-run win for India in the second One-Day International (ODI) against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui on Saturday.&nbsp;

With the win, India registered their biggest ODI victory in New Zealand. India's previous biggest one-day victory in New Zealand had come in 2009 when team India defeated New Zealand by 84 runs at Hamilton.&nbsp;

After receiving the award Rohit talked about his performance, he said, "Good feeling but more importantly, we won the match. We didn't know how the pitch will behave."

New Zealand kept losing wickets on regular intervals during their run chase as they were all out for 234 with more than nine overs remaining.&nbsp;

Kuldeep Yadav took a four-wicket haul.&nbsp;

All of the top-six New Zealand batsmen got starts in pursuit of a target of 325 that was achievable on a good pitch that offered true bounce and pace.

The hosts, however, were unable to really build any fruitful partnerships as India took wickets at times just when New Zealand appeared to be getting a slight edge in their pursuit.

Yadav destroyed New Zealand's middle order as he dismissed Tom Latham (34), Colin de Grandhomme (three) and Henry Nicholls (28) in quick succession to end any hopes of them leading a rear-guard recovery.

New Zealand's inconsistent batting - they were unable to last their full complement of overs for the second successive match - was not the only concern for coach Gary Stead as India's batsmen also highlighted the lack of penetration of their bowling attack.

Virat Kohli has no peers in ODIs but he has a priceless message for youngsters, a sole focus on limited overs formats shouldn't be an "excuse" for not being able to cope with the challenges of Test cricket.&nbsp;

World's No 1 batsman with 25 Test hundreds warned that youngsters will have mental problems if they don't embrace the pristine form of five-day cricket.&nbsp;&nbsp;

"If we focus too much on shorter formats - yes, they're important - but if we solely focus and look at them as an escape or an excuse to not be in the kind of situations that Test cricket presents to you, then I think there will start being a mental problem with the cricketers coming up," Kohli was quoted as saying by Star Sports.&nbsp;

"As long as you're willing to wake up every morning for five days and do the hard yards and go do the dirty work - if you're willing to bat for two hours and not score a run for the team - I think that is what people should prepare (youngsters) (for)."&nbsp;&nbsp;

Virat Kohli has reaffirmed his commitment towards Test cricket, saying he wants India to become a superpower in the game's longest format. 
Number-one ranked India recently won their maiden Test series in Australia under Kohli's leadership.&nbsp;

"I wouldn't say goal but I would rather speak of a vision, which is for India to be a superpower in Test cricket or a very, very strong side in Test cricket in the years to come."&nbsp;&nbsp;

"I think if Indian cricket respects Test cricket, and Indian players respect Test cricket, then Test cricket will stay at the top because of the fan base that we have all over the world."&nbsp;

Kohli was made India captain for the first time in the middle of the 2014-15 Test series in Australia with MS Dhoni announcing a shock retirement.&nbsp;

He credited coach Ravi Shastri for making his job easier.&nbsp;

"Ever since 2014, I think he's (Shastri) one person who's given me honest feedback whenever things required to be altered.&nbsp;&nbsp;

"I remember we sat down (last year). I'd scored a Test century and a fifty in the same game in England, so he called me and he said, as far as batting is concerned, I'm not going to discuss anything with you now because you've done some something which I am proud of and everyone is proud of.&nbsp;&nbsp;

"But as a captain, I need to start thinking how to get the best out of this team and how to tactically be spot on. And that really hit me because I felt like, you know, there's so much more to captaincy than you sometimes think."&nbsp;

Before departing for the Australia tour, Kohli had dismissed the perception that Shastri was "yes-man" to him. He explained again what Shastri brings to the table.&nbsp;

"He one person, because he's done so much commentary, and he's seen the game so much and has played so much himself - just watching the game - he knows where the game is heading.&nbsp;

"So just get getting feedback from him constantly has been the biggest help for me, in terms of moulding my own personality into captaincy. He's someone who has never tried to change me just to be able to fit into the captaincy mode," Kohli added.&nbsp;
