The Kathiawadi horse, known for its grace and royal lineage will mark its journey from Saurashtra to Patna.</p>
<p>As per a report in News 18, the horse named Prithvi is 11 years old and was bred by local horse enthusiast Rajubhai He has devoted his life to preserving and promoting the Kathiawadi lineage. The horse will be transported in a special ambulance and will take four days to reach Bihar, as per a report on LiveMint.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"This isn&rsquo;t just about a purchase. It&rsquo;s about carrying forward a legacy. The fact that someone is willing to pay more than what most would spend on a luxury car shows the growing respect for Kathiawadi horses," Rajubhai Rada said while speaking to <span>Local 18</span>.</p>

As per reports, it is believed that back in the day a few local horses were cross-bred with wild Iranian horses which are found to be their nearest DNA test ancestors. WATCH | Delivery guy tackles fuel shortage amid truckers’ strike, gets on a horse to deliver food

<p>A Boeing 747, which had departed from New York's John F Kennedy International Airport and was en route to Liege, Belgium, was forced to return on November 9 after a horse went loose inside the cargo hold.</p>

<p>The horse, which momentarily ran away from its stall onboard, was euthanised because of the extent of its injuries, as per reports. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The cargo flight, which was being run by charter airline Air Atlanta Icelandic, had climbed nearly 31,000 feet when Air Traffic Control was contacted by the crew in Boston and the issue of escape of horse was reported.</p>

<p>“We don’t have a problem (…) flying-wise,” stated one of the pilots, in a video which was shared by the YouTube channel “You Can See ATC,” but “we cannot get the horse back secured".&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking to CNN, a representative from Air Atlanta Icelandic confirmed that the information shared in the “You Can See ATC” video is correct.</p>

<h2><strong>Horse jumped after turbulence struck the flight</strong></h2>

<p>The horse was one of the 15 animals being transported to Liege, which is Europe's import hub.</p>

<p>As per John Cuticelli, head of the corporation responsible for operating animal quarantine and export at John F Kennedy International Airport, turbulence struck the flight shortly after its takeoff.</p>

<p>The horse got spooked by the turbulence hit and jumped halfway over the stall's high front barrier and was hung up, with his hind legs trapped on the stall's inside and his front legs on one side of the barrier.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the video which is now going viral, one can see horses pulling carts in great speed while onlookers cheer on. Four horse-carts and 2 two-wheelers were seized and horses are to be handed over to MCD, said Delhi Police Sunday.&nbsp;</p>

In first such move in any parliament in the world, lawmakers were given permission to bring their pets to work. While most expected lawmakers to bring cute little bundles of joy in form of their cats or dogs, one of the senator stole the scene with his stallion.</p>

<p>He not only brought horse to Colombian parliament but he rode through the capital Bogota before steering his steed into the halls of Congress, to make a statement about the importance of horses for the Colombian countryside.</p>

<p>"It is a tribute to the farmers, to the men and women, to the herdsmen who live with horses. To all those people who work in the fields," he told AFP, holding his horse -- named Pasaporte -- by the bridle.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The new policy of allowing pets in parliament was announced by Senate President Roy Barreras last week. He made the announcement with his dog in his lap &nbsp;This makes the Colombian Congress "the first in the world to be pet-friendly," he said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The incident took place on Sunday night in Rajasthan's Govardhanpura village of Bhilwara district when stones were hurled at him and his friends were beaten up by villagers who were outraged over a scheduled caste groom riding a mare during the traditional ceremony of Bindoli.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per reports, the groom alleged that most of the attackers were from the Gurjar community.</p>

<p>The police reached the spot and tried to stop the villagers&nbsp;but they forced the groom to get down from the horse and go back to his house.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An FIR has been lodged under IPC sections including 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) along with sections of the SC/ST Act.</p>

<p>Police said that a case has been registered under SC/ST Act and seven people have been arrested so far in this regard.</p>

<p>Reports of discrimination against Dalits are reported from different parts of India. On Sunday, to protest against discrimination and caste-based violence, hundreds of Dalits converted to Buddhism in Una district of Gujarat.</p>

<p>Previously a Dalit groom was asked to take a longer route to ‘avoid’ Thakur areas during the Kasanj incident.&nbsp;</p>
