<p>In the notice, he has raised a demand to change the name of Kota city in the film as he feels that it maligns the name of the city. It further states that unless the name of the city is removed, screenings would be blocked and the matter would be taken to the High Court, according to lawyer Ashwin Garg.</p>

<p>The controversy blew up after <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/mardaani-2-trailer-rani-mukerji-is-back-as-the-fierce-cop-shivani-shivaji-roy-262015">‘Mardaani 2’ trailer </a>came out. It shows a serial rapist and murderer in Kota who targets young girls in the city and declares that the film is inspired by true events. <p>Yami Gautam made an impressive debut in Shoojit Sircar's 'Vicky Donor' back in 2012 but it took her a while to find her footing in the film industry. While she was part of several big-budget films in the following years, including films like 'Badlapur' and 'Kaabil', it is 2019 that the actress gained maximum success with two hots. &nbsp;She starred in two of the biggest blockbusters of the year- 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' at the beginning of the year and ended the year with a bang in <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/bala-review-ayushmann-khurranas-film-tackles-societal-prejudices-head-on-260673">'Bala'.&nbsp;</a></p>

<p>Finally getting her moment under the sun, Yami admits that it took her a while to get due recognition but she worked very hard for it. "It took a while to get roles, films that challenge. It's not been an easy journey for me especially because I was on my own. But that's also the fun part and I enjoy it. The journey can be tough but when you know the kind of films, roles you want to do- it happens. You work hard towards it, but the wait has been worth it," said Yami in an exclusive conversation with WION.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Yami admits that while she earned a lot of praise for her performance in 'Vicky Donor', the offers that followed were not exciting. "Maybe I was typecast you know," she rues. "I was called dainty, pretty and most people imagined me doing something similar(like ' ' 'Vicky Donor').&nbsp;</p>

<p>Yami is currently basking for her performance in 'Bala' which also starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. The movie did great business at the box office <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/ayushmann-khurrana-starrer-bala-joins-rs-100-crore-club-in-india-264008">earning over 100 crores in the domestic market</a> itself.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Yami played a small-town tik-tok star Pari, for whom validation on social media is very important and who fall in love with Bala, played by Khurrana. Her performance has been appreciated far and wide and Yami gives credit to writers of the film. "I think director Amar Kaushik and writer Niren Bhatt should be given credit for creating such an interesting character. We worked on the diction. I read the script thoroughly just to imagine her backstory because that is very important. A lot has gone into it to make Pari such a fun character. "Didn't have a number in mind but knew that as a &nbsp;concept this would work with the audience."&nbsp;</p>

The kind of person I am- I'm miles away from how she is. When I got the role, I thought 'this is an opportunity to show my versatility on screen,'" adds Yami.&nbsp;</p>

Finally getting her moment under the sun, Yami admits that it took her a while to get due recognition but she worked very hard for it. "It took a while to get roles, films that challenge. It's not been an easy journey for me especially because I was on my own. But that's also the fun part and I enjoy it. The journey can be tough but when you know the kind of films, roles you want to do- it happens. You work hard towards it, but the wait has been worth it," said Yami in an exclusive conversation with WION. Yami admits that while she earned a lot of praise for her performance in 'Vicky Donor', the offers that followed were not exciting. "Maybe I was typecast you know," she rues. "I was called dainty, pretty and most people imagined me doing something similar(like ' ' 'Vicky Donor'). "I had faith, I know what potential I hold and it's just a matter of time before filmmakers realised that too," adds Yami. Yami is currently basking for her performance in 'Bala' which also starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. The movie did great business at the box office earning over 100 crores in the domestic market itself. Yami played a small-town tik-tok star Pari, for whom validation on social media is very important and who fall in love with Bala, played by Khurrana. "I think director Amar Kaushik and writer Niren Bhatt should be given credit for creating such an interesting character. We worked on the diction. I read the script thoroughly just to imagine her backstory because that is very important. A lot has gone into it to make Pari such a fun character. From Joaquin Phoenix in 'Joker' to Brad Pitt's 'Ad Astra,' A-listers have flocked to roles which highlight the damage caused by sons' quests for their fathers' approval.<br />

But none have confronted the theme more brutally and personally than 'Waves,' the indie coming-of-age teen drama being tipped as an Oscars dark horse.<br />

The film, portraying a black middle-class family in Miami which implodes following a tragedy, has been hailed as "a knockout" by the New York Times and an "intimate epic" by The Hollywood Reporter.<br />
<br />
Director Trey Edward Shults modelled the film's strict patriarch on his own stepfather, whose overzealous coaching results in a hideous high-school wrestling injury -- a trauma which is dramatized in the movie, and leads to devastating consequences.<br />
"It is a cautionary tale of the traditional idea of masculinity," Shults, 31, told AFP.<br />
<br />
"We don't have to build these tough exteriors -- we can be vulnerable, we can communicate."<br />
<br />
Described as a 'Dazed and Confused' for the Instagram generation, the film shows how the expectation that teenage boys be strong, silent and stoic endures in American culture.</p>

Shults said he forged the central character after swapping stories with star Kelvin Harrison, whose musician father tried and failed to push him to follow in his footsteps.<br />

"We would do these sort of intense therapy sessions... him talking about his father's state of mind, his father's father, where that stuff came from."<br />
<br />
The consequences of that pressure led, midway through the film, to what Shults calls "the ultimate tragedy."<br />
<br />
<strong>- 'Terrifying' -</strong><br />
<br />
Later, another character's reluctant visit to reconcile with his dying biological father in hospital is ripped directly from the director's own life.<br />
<br />
Filming the scene was "terrifying," said Shults, adding that the plotline of a teenage boy dragged to the hospital bed by his girlfriend after years of not communicating was "as identical as can be" to his own life.<br />
<br />
"It's like an all-consuming dread that hits you at, like, the pit of your stomach, reliving the most traumatic thing... It was cathartic. But it was hard."<br />
<br />
The movie has stirred controversy in some parts because its director is white.&nbsp;<br />
<br />
Many of its poignant scenes about the black experience were shaped by Harrison and his on-screen father Sterling K. Brown ('This Is Us').<br />
<br />
But Shults -- whose half-siblings are black -- said he did not set out to write about a black family until Harrison came on board, and racial politics were always secondary to universal themes of family grief.<br />

<p>You might have heard of Akshay Kumar’s professionalism and punctuality but he gave a live example to his director recently while shooting for upcoming film ‘Good Newwz’.</p>

<p>The actor who is currently undergoing physiotherapy sessions for his back injury filmed for a song even while he was in pain as it was pre-scheduled and Akshay Kumar didn’t want his director or the fellow cast to face inconvenience.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This happened a few weeks ago when Akshay Kumar was to shoot for a song for his film but he woke up with severe back pain owing a back injury that he suffered a couple of months back. It didn’t stop him though and he went on to the set.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Film director Raj Mehta cited in a published report said, "Akshay&nbsp;was also running a fever on the night before the shoot. We weren't expecting him to show up, but surprisingly, he did, and even managed to pull off the choreography set by Bosco [Martis]. It was a relief for him as getting the entire cast together for the song on other dates would have been very difficult considering the film has big names like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani.&nbsp;</p>

Since I am tall and skinny, and my face is angular, not round, I had to take mild doses of hormone pills to look different. Of course, I also started eating foods that promote weight gain."</p>

The divorce was granted under the Special Marriage Act. The two had approached the court to dissolve their marriage by consent in April earlier this year. According to reports, the couple's two daughters, Mahikaa and Myra, will live with their mother Mehr at their duplex in Bandra. The rest of the terms and conditions are not known. Reports of a split between the couple first emerged in 2011 but the two had vehemently denied them. It was only in May 2018 that they officially announced their separation, four months after Arjun moved out of their shared home into a rented 2 BHK. Interfaith marriages are registered under the Special Marriage Act, and any plea for divorce by mutual consent requires the couple to reside separately for a year before they approach the court. Arjun Rampal has been dating South African model Gabriella Demetriades for some time now and the couple even welcomed their son Arik on July 18 earlier this year.

Do you want to play us a song,` and I was like, `No. This is the worst decision I ever made`. I was saying no and they were like, `You just brought a guitar just to hold it? Why did you bring a guitar in?` My entire confidence just s**t the bed," Pattinson said in the podcast.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"The audition was one of the worst auditions I did in my whole life. I remember calling my parents and saying, `I`m done, I can`t torture myself anymore,` and the next day I got a `Twilight` audition."</p>

<p>Before 'Twilight', Pattinson shot to fame in the 'Harry Potter' and the actor says he loved the environment on set as it was "very friendly family" and everyone got along well.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"It was a really nice environment on 'Harry Potter'. Even compared to the movies I`ve done since then,&nbsp;it was very protective. The way the kids were treated ... In 'Harry Potter' they were at school and they were kind of doing work at the same time ... It felt like a very friendly family environment," said the actor.&nbsp;</p>
