SpaceX mogul Elon Musk recently claimed that pyramids in Egypt were built by aliens.

A conspiracy theory which finds itself a lot of traction on social media from time to time, believes that besides building the pyramids, aliens may have used it to garner energy from the planet.

In another response coming in from the country, an archaeologist - Zahi Hawass claimed that Musk was “hallucinating”, and that this argument bore no evidence.

Hawass said that the discovery of the tombs of the pyramid builders prove that they were built by Egyptians and not slaves, as commonly believed.

Hours after stirring emotions on Twitter, Musk tweeted out a story about the lives of pyramid builders, while adding that Great Pyramid in Giza remains the most famous.

The pyramids were largely built to serve as tombs for the country’s royalty, with over 100 pyramids surviving in the country. Giza alone, stands at a height of 137 metres.

Musk is no stranger to such odd musings on Twitter.

Social media giant Twitter on Friday explained how Bitcoin scammers hijacked celebrity accounts of Barack Obama, Jeff Bezos and Kim Kardashian two weeks ago.

The tech firm revealed that hackers responsible for the recent high-profile breach used a phone to fool the social media company's employees into giving them access.

They used the technique of "spear-phishing" to attack, which is a practice of sending emails ostensibly from a known or trusted sender in order to induce targeted individuals to reveal confidential information.

Attackers also targeted specific employees who had access to account support tools, Twitter said, adding that it restricted access to its internal tools and systems ever since the incident occurred.

Hackers had accessed Twitter's internal systems on July 15 to hijack some of the platform's top voices including US presidential candidate Joe Biden, reality TV star Kim Kardashian, former US President Barack Obama and billionaire Elon Musk and used them to solicit digital currency.

Publicly available blockchain records show the apparent scammers received more than $100,000 worth of cryptocurrency.

The hackers targeted 130 accounts. They managed to tweet from 45 accounts, access the direct message inboxes of 36, and download the Twitter data from seven. Dutch anti-Islam lawmaker Geert Wilders has said his inbox was among those accessed.

Twitter didn't provide any more information about how the attack was carried out, saying it would provide a more detailed report later, given the ongoing law enforcement investigation. Amber Heard on Tuesday denied having an affair with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, as she gave evidence in ex-husband Johnny Depp's high-profile London libel action.

Depp, 57, had accused the 34-year-old actress of having liaisons with the Tesla and SpaceX founder and the Hollywood actor James Franco during their stormy two-year marriage.

But giving evidence she rejected the claims, in particular dismissing suggestions Musk visited her regularly at night from March 2015, not long after the couple wed.

"I wasn't even in communication with Elon until 2016," she told London's High Court on her second day on the witness stand.

Depp, star of "The Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise, is suing British tabloid The Sun and the author of a 2018 article that claimed he was a "wife-beater".

He maintains it severely damaged his reputation.

Depp's lawyer, Eleanor Laws, read out a 2016 text message sent by Musk offering Heard protection against Depp after an alleged fight between the couple.

"The offer would stand, even if you never wanted to see me again... anyway, sorry for being an idiot," he wrote.

"The radio silence hurts a lot. It only matters because I really like you."

The text was sent the day after Heard claims the actor hit her in the face with a mobile phone during an argument, and while she was considering obtaining a restraining order.

- Kate Moss rumour -

Heard claimed on Monday that Depp threatened to kill her on a number of occasions, and subjected her to verbal and physical violence while under the influence of drink and drugs.

On Tuesday, Heard acknowledged hitting Depp during a, particularly nasty argument in March 2015 whose details have been in dispute throughout the trial.

"I did strike Johnny that day in defence of my sister," she said, expressing fear that Depp was about to push her sister Whitney down the stairs.

"He was about to push (Whitney) down the stairs and, the moment before that happened, I remembered information I had heard (that) he pushed a former girlfriend -- I believe it was Kate Moss -- down the stairs.

"I had heard this rumour from two people and it was fresh in my mind."

The British supermodel has not publicly accused Depp, whom she dated in the 1990s, of causing her to fall down stairs.
Depp denies ever pushing or hitting Whitney. He has claims his ex-wife had a violent temper, and that he has always acted in self-defence.

The couple met on the set of the 2011 film "The Rum Diary" and their relationship veered from "intensely affectionate, warm and charming" to "very intense and dark".

She said the actor blamed his actions on a "self-created third party" he sometimes named "the monster", and that she stayed in the relationship because she thought she could "fix" his well-documented problems.

The Sun's publisher, News Group Newspapers (NGN), argues it told the truth in its report, and that it has evidence to prove 14 alleged incidents of domestic violence.

Elon Musk’s startup intended to map and control the brain, “Neuralink” will reportedly allow you to stream music into your brain directly.

The startup and its vision will be shared with the world on August 28. In response to the computer scientist Austin Howard’s question about being able to stream music directly into your brain on Sunday - July 19, Musk responded with a coy “yes”. If there were to be true, headphones could become a thing of the past very soon.

"Yes"

Very little has been revealed about the startup. The only glimpse so far was in 2019 during a keynote, whereby the company showcased a device which was connected to the brain using holes in the skull, which were drilled by lasers.

This has little to do with pleasure, but more with scientific betterment. If the brain can be accessed and remotely controlled, diseases that render one inept like Parkinson’s might finally be controllable.

Speaking on a podcast, Musk asserted how this tech could help repair broken neural connections in people suffering extreme brain disorders.

The brain-mapping technology’s plans to beam music into one’s brain have not been revealed yet. No detail on how this will be achieved without bypassing the ear and other body restraints in the way.

Chemicals? You bet!

But this isn’t it! Musk also claims that the technology could release chemicals into the brain which affect one’s functioning. Brain chemicals decide one’s ability to feel sad and happy. In a case of imbalance, one tilts to one extreme.

He also invited problem solvers to apply to work at the company. “If you’ve solved hard problems with phones/ wearables (sealing, signal processing, inductive charging, power management, etc.), please consider working at [Neuralink],” the mogul tweeted out.

While responding to a tweet about whether the devices could “stimulate the release oxytocin, serotonin, and other chemicals when needed”, without giving any details, the tech guru responded with another “yes”.

The technology to send music straight to one’s brain already exists, but its functioning is different. It does this by sending vibrations to the skull. On the other hand, Neuralink intends to do this by stimulating neurones.

Hackers involved in the high-profile hijacking of Twitter accounts earlier this week were a few youngsters with no links to state or organised crime, The New York Times has said.

Posts trying to dupe people into sending hackers the virtual currency bitcoin were tweeted by the official accounts of Apple, Uber, Kanye West, Bill Gates, Barack Obama and many others on Wednesday.

The massive hack of high-profile users from Elon Musk to Joe Biden raised questions about Twitter's security as it serves as a megaphone for politicians ahead of November's election.

The attack, which Twitter and federal police are investigating, started with a playful message between hackers on the platform Discord, a chat service popular with gamers.

The paper said it had interviewed four people who participated in the hacking, who shared logs and screenshots backing up their accounts of what happened.

The hack was done by a group of young people -- one of whom says he lives at home with his mother -- who got to know one another because of their obsession with owning early or unusual screen names, particularly one letter or number, like @y or @6.

"Based on what we know right now, we believe approximately 130 accounts were targeted by the attackers in some way as part of the incident," Twitter said in a tweet.

Twitter said it appeared to be a "coordinated social engineering attack by people who successfully targeted some of our employees with access to internal systems and tools."

The young hackers interviewed by the Times said a mysterious user who went by the name "Kirk" initiated the scheme with a message and was the one with access to Twitter accounts.

They contended they were only involved in commandeering lesser-known Twitter accounts, particularly to swipe coveted short handles such as an "@" sign and single letters or numbers that could easily be sold, according to the report.

Some hackers are "obsessed" with hijacking "Original Gangster" social media accounts staked out in the services' early days that have short profile names, according to Brian Krebs of Krebs on Security.

Hackers involved in the attack on Twitter advertised account names at an OGusers.com website, asking for payment in bitcoin, according to the Times report.

Fraudulent posts, which were largely deleted, had said people had 30 minutes to send $1,000 in cryptocurrency bitcoin, promising they would receive twice as much in return. More than $100,000 worth of bitcoin was sent to email addresses mentioned in the tweets, according to Blockchain.com, which monitors crypto transactions.

Twitter hack was work of young hacker pals, says report

The official Twitter accounts of Apple, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and others were hijacked on Wednesday by scammers in a massive hack -- who according to cyber police were trying to dupe people into sending cryptocurrency bitcoin.

The list of accounts includes Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Uber, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, bitcoin specialty firms and many others.

"We are aware of a security incident impacting accounts on Twitter," the messaging service said in a tweet. "We are investigating and taking steps to fix it. We will update everyone shortly."

In response, Twitter locked down Biden campaign's hacked account quickly and removed the bogus tweet. The social media platform had disabled the ability to tweet from validated accounts, those with the official blue checkmarks.

The company silenced a few others of its highest-profile users too in response to the hours-long security incident. These Twitter users started to be able to send tweets again at around 8:30 pm EDT. A few of them will gradually gain access to posting tweets.

We will update everyone shortly." In response, Twitter locked down Biden campaign's hacked account quickly and removed the bogus tweet. The social media platform had disabled the ability to tweet from validated accounts, those with the official blue checkmarks. The company silenced a few others of its highest-profile users too in response to the hours-long security incident. These Twitter users started to be able to send tweets again at around 8:30 pm EDT. Tesla CEO Elon Musk speaking through a video link at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in China said today that his company is "very close" to achieving autonomous driving technology while asserting that it could be achieved this year.

"I'm extremely confident that level 5 or essentially complete autonomy will happen and I think will happen very quickly," Musk said during the conference through video conferencing. "I remain confident that we will have the basic functionality for level 5 autonomy complete this year."

Level 5 means a car's computer will do the driving with no intervention of the driver as passengers enjoy their ride. The US transport department currently has a "light-touch regulatory approach" towards self-driving cars but the sale of level 4 and 5 would need updated guidelines, experts say.

During the conference, Musk spoke about work at Shanghai's Gigafactory which is Tesla's first production facility outside the US for the company's Model 3 and Model Y cars while reiterating that he would like to visit the plant.

“I think there are no fundamental challenges remaining for Level 5 autonomy. There are many small problems. And then there’s the challenge of solving all those small problems and then putting the whole system together and just keep addressing the long tail of problems. So you’ll find that you’re able to handle the vast majority of situations," the Tesla chief said.

The Tesla chief's comments come as several companies have invested heavily into the self-driving technology including Lyft, Alphabet’s Waymo, General Motor’s and Uber Technologies. Most companies are still in testing mode with customers still not ready to trust the technology after reports of crashes which have taken around the world including Tesla's Model S fatal crash in May 2016.

"But then there will be something very odd. You have to have a system figure out a train to deal with these odd situations. This is why you need real-world situations. Nothing is more complex and weird than the real world,” the Tesla chief stated.

"We are deeply enmeshed in dealing with the tiny details of level five simulation," Musk added.

Tesla Inc is building “RNA microfactories” for coronavirus vaccine developer CureVac in Germany, the electric carmaker’s chief executive officer, Elon Musk, tweeted on Wednesday.

CureVac, an unlisted German company, has said it is developing transportable, automated mRNA production units that it calls printers. They will be designed to be shipped to remote locations, where they can churn out its vaccine candidate and other mRNA-based therapies depending on the recipe fed into the machine.

But for the immediate pandemic use - should its vaccine candidate win market approval – it has production sites with regulatory approval in Germany with a capacity to produce hundreds of millions of doses.

It is also building a new stationary site that could increase its output tenfold to billions of doses.

Musk did not elaborate on his plans. Tesla and CureVac were not immediately available to comment.

Tesla investors are being urged to vote to remove Elon Musk, the electric vehicle company’s founder and chief executive, from the board of the firm. The development comes as anger mounts over his bonus deal that could pay him a record $55.

Tesla investors are being urged to vote to remove Elon Musk, the electric vehicle company’s founder and chief executive, from the board of the firm. The development comes as anger mounts over his bonus deal that could pay him a record $55.8bn (£40bn), according to The Guardian. Pirc, an influential adviser to shareholders, on Tuesday, recommended that investors voted against Tesla’s executive pay deal because it “unfairly enriches the chief executive”, the report added. Pirc said the deal had exposed the company to a lawsuit, alleging that: “The board, including CEO Elon Musk, awarded themselves excessive compensation packages over a three-year period that allegedly allowed directors to ‘enrich themselves at the company’s expense’.” He called on investors to vote against re-electing Musk to the board because of the pay deal, and warned he posed “a serious risk of reputational harm to the company and its shareholders”. Pirc said Musk’s frequent controversial outbursts on Twitter had cost Tesla millions of dollars in settlements and also represented an “unnecessary reputational risk to the company”. Last year Musk was sued for $190m in defamation damages over derogatory tweets about the British caver Vernon Unsworth, who was helping to rescue 13 people trapped in a Thai cave. A jury found the tweets did not reach the legal standard for defamation, and Musk was not found liable for damages. In 2018 the US Securities and Exchange (SEC) regulator fined both Musk and Tesla $20m over the chief executive’s tweets that he planned to take the company private at a substantial premium to the share price, causing the stock price to surge. As part of the settlement with the SEC Musk was forced to give up his position as Tesla’s chairman. The SEC ruled: “In truth, Musk knew that the potential transaction was uncertain and subject to numerous contingencies. Musk had not discussed specific deal terms, including price, with any potential financing partners, and his statements about the possible transaction lacked an adequate basis in fact.”

I did study color in college, and I did quite well in the course, but you’d never know it looking at how I colorize things. Seems I’m unable to escape the carnival in my head, which is my default color palette. I should probably do a series of illustrations with “mature” color, just to show that I actually can. This, Salina feels, will help the audience understand the changes in Musk’s vision and development. “Musk’s Twitter feed, once I had found it, brought me a lot of joy,” Gomez wrote on her Kickstarter page. “I decided to take on the role of a gonzo editorial cartoonist reading the Musk Twitter Headlines, subjectively interpreting them in a whimsical, positive manner, all the while immersing myself in the Twitterverse experience.” View this post on Instagram Looking back on the beginning of the coloring book project years ago. SpaceX is considered one of the most ambitious companies of modern-day! The company have gone even further than anybody’s expectations.

An advertisement for job hiring for the company published on Tuesday revealed how the company is planning to develop floating spaceports to be used as launch sites for SpaceX’s “Super Heavy” launch vehicles.

Tech Crunch first reported how these rockets will be used to move large payloads to Moon, and probably to Mars. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk pointed that these would also be used for travelling on Earth.

If the plan materialises, not just space but travelling on the planet might become a lot easier! The rationale is to enable travel at the edge of Earth’s atmosphere, which will cut down both on the duration and the fuel cost for the flight. The electric car company is now reportedly worth over $187 billion as its stocks rose over six per cent on Wall Street. Tesla's CEO Elon Musk in an email to his staff had said that the company's new Semi truck was ready for "volume production", however, he did not put a deadline or when the production will begin.

Tesla stocks had earlier hit an all-time high in February when it crossed $9,000 a share due to record sales in 2019 and results of factory output in China, however, it fell rapidly as the coronavirus pandemic hit the United States.

Musk on Wednesday had tweeted "Yes" to a question on Twitter about whether the report of the leaked Semi truck production email was accurate.

“Production of the battery and powertrain will take place at Giga Nevada,” Musk said.

Tesla had to close its factories in California, Buffalo and Fremont amid the virus.

The company had previously announced the production of Tesla Semi in 2017 boasting of travelling 500 kms on a single battery, however, the company had later said it was delaying production until 2021.

Musk's Tesla becomes most valuable automaker, beats Toyota

Tesla Inc's stock jumped above $1,000 a share on Wednesday after Chief Executive Elon Musk told his staff it was time to bring the Tesla Semi commercial truck to "volume production."

Musk, in an email seen by Reuters on Wednesday, did not specify a time frame for ramping up production of the Semi. Musk on Wednesday tweeted "Yes" to a question on Twitter about whether the report of the leaked Semi truck production email was accurate.

Tesla's shares rose about 6% to hit $1,000 on Wednesday after Reuters reported Musk's email, making the Silicon Valley company the second-most valuable automaker in the world, behind Japan's Toyota Motor Corp . Tesla's share surge could position Musk for another payout from a stock compensation plan tied to the company's market capitalization.

The stock also got a boost from a bullish call by Wedbush, which lifted its target price for the automaker to $1,000 and said Tesla could have "more room to run."

Investors also are anticipating Musk will unveil new "million-mile" battery technology that could deliver longer life, lower costs and better range for future Tesla vehicles.

"Production of the battery and powertrain will take place at Giga Nevada," Musk wrote. Most of the other work will probably take place in other states, he wrote, without stating where.

Musk has said Tesla is scouting other U.S. states for a site to build a new factory, hinting that Texas could be a candidate. Oklahoma and other states are campaigning for the investment.

When Musk unveiled the prototype of the futuristic, battery-powered Semi in 2017, he said the Class 8 truck would go into production by 2019. More recently, he said the Semi would go into volume production by 2021.

Musk's Tuesday message coincides with a surge in the share price of rival clean truck maker Nikola Corp.

Nikola, an electric and fuel cell truck startup, earlier this month began trading on the NASDAQ after it merged with special purpose acquisition company VectoIQ.

Shares in Nikola have more than doubled in price over the past week as the company's CEO has used Twitter and interviews to promote plans to launch an electric pickup truck to Tesla's forthcoming Cybertruck.

Nikola and CNH Industrial's IVECO commercial truck operation last year formed a joint venture to build a battery electric and fuel cell truck line called the Nikola Tre. IVECO has said orders are strong for the electric version of the truck, due out next year.

Nikola on Wednesday said it had hired a former Tesla executive, Mark Duchesne, to lead its manufacturing and a former Caterpillar <CAT.N> executive, Pablo Koziner, to head its hydrogen fueling and battery recharging business.

"It is very important to have at least two possibilities to reach the station. After all, it’s not enough ... Everything happened in space, and you must have at least two transport systems capable of ensuring the presence of crews of different countries on board the ISS," he added.

Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin also took to Twitter to congratulate NASA chief Jim Bridenstine for the success. “Bravo! I know how anxious you were for this major event to become a success,” he wrote.

SpaceX, the private rocket company of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, launched two Americans into orbit from Florida on Saturday in a landmark mission marking the first spaceflight of NASA astronauts from US soil in nine years.

SpaceX, the private rocket company of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, launched two Americans into orbit from Florida on Saturday in a landmark mission marking the first spaceflight of NASA astronauts from US soil in nine years. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center at 3:22 p.m. EDT (1922 GMT), launching Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken on a 19-hour ride aboard the company's newly designed Crew Dragon capsule bound for the International Space Station. Just before liftoff, Hurley said, “SpaceX, we’re going for launch. Let’s light this candle,” paraphrasing the famous comment uttered on the launch pad in 1961 by Alan Shepard, the first American flown into space. Minutes after launch, the first-stage booster rocket of the Falcon 9 separated from the upper second-stage rocket and flew itself back to Earth to descend safely onto a landing platform floating in the Atlantic. High above the Earth, the Crew Dragon jettisoned moments later from the second-stage rocket, sending the capsule on its way to the space station. The exhilarating spectacle of the rocket soaring flawlessly into the heavens came as a welcome triumph for a nation gripped by racially-charged civil unrest as well as ongoing fear and economic upheaval from the coronavirus pandemic. The Falcon 9 took off from the same launch pad used by NASA's final space shuttle flight, piloted by Hurley, in 2011. Since then, NASA astronauts have had to hitch rides into orbit aboard Russia's Soyuz spacecraft. “It's incredible, the power, the technology,” said U.S. President Donald Trump, who was at Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral in Florida for the launch. “That was a beautiful sight to see.” The mission's first launch attempt on Wednesday was called off with less than 17 minutes remaining on the countdown clock. Weather again threatened Saturday's launch, but cleared in time to proceed with the mission. Spaceflight milestones NASA chief Jim Bridenstine has said resuming launches of American astronauts on American-made rockets from US soil is the space agency's top priority. "I'm breathing a sigh of relief, but I will also tell you I'm not gonna celebrate until Bob and Doug are home safely." Bridenstine said. For Musk, the launch represents another milestone for the reusable rockets his company pioneered to make spaceflight less costly and more frequent. And it marks the first time commercially developed space vehicles - owned and operated by a private entity rather than NASA - have carried Americans into orbit. The last time NASA launched astronauts into space aboard a brand new vehicle was 40 years ago at the start of the space shuttle program. Musk, the South African-born high-tech entrepreneur who made his fortune in Silicon Valley, is also chief executive of electric carmaker and battery manufacturer Tesla Inc. He founded Hawthorne, California-based SpaceX, formally known as Space Exploration Technologies, in 2002. Hurley, 53, and Behnken, 49, NASA employees under contract to fly with SpaceX, are expected to remain at the space station for several weeks, assisting a short-handed crew aboard the orbital laboratory. Boeing Co, producing its own launch system in competition with SpaceX, is expected to fly its CST-100 Starliner vehicle with astronauts aboard for the first time next year. NASA has awarded nearly $8 billion combined to SpaceX and Boeing for development of their rival rockets. Trump also hailed the launch as a major advance toward the goal of eventually sending humans to Mars. He was joined at the viewing by Musk, as well as Vice President Mike Pence, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Florida congressman Matt Gaetz and Senator Rick Scott. Earlier on Saturday, the crew bid goodbye to their families. Prior to climbing into a specially designed Tesla automobile for the ride to the launch site, Behnken told his young son, "Be good for mom. Make her life easy.” During the drive, Behnken and Hurley passed former astronaut Garrett Reisman who held a sign saying, "Take me with you."

Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Thursday unveiled the first of 12 possible stock option awards from the compensation plan he signed in 2018 -- and it’s worth nearly $800 million.

This plan replaced one from 2012.

Tesla eclipsed $20 billion in total revenue over the last four quarters and a market capitalisation of more than $100 billion. Hence, the company disclosed, Musk now has the option to buy 1.69 million of its shares.

Tesla’s stock price was $805.81 when the markets closed on Thursday, meaning those shares are worth about $1.36 billion. Musk, however, only has to pay a $350.02 per share strike price to get them.

This implies he could net around $770 million depending on when he pulls the trigger.

At this rate, Musk can eventually wind up collecting around 20.3 million new shares of Tesla at that strike price, clearing a path for him to collect tens of billions of dollars or more.

The company originally categorised the compensation plan as an at-risk performance award that ensures Musk will be compensated only if Tesla and all of its shareholders do extraordinarily well.”

The company’s annual meeting this year will take place on July 7.

Shareholders will have seven proposals to vote on at that meeting. The first is to reelect Elon Musk and Tesla chairwoman Robyn Denholm to the board of directors, and to approve the recently-announced appointment of Hiromichi Mizuno. The second is to approve compensation for Tesla’s executives. The third is to reappoint PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as Tesla’s auditor.

Proposal four is Tesla should start spending money on advertising — something Musk has famously avoided.

The fifth proposal is measuring votes by a simple majority.

Proposal six is for Tesla to scrap forced arbitration.

The final proposal is Tesla preparing a report about human rights violations at the companies it buys raw materials from.

“And we have telemetry stations around the world to capture the data as it comes down,” Hart said. “The data … is the product of that flight, and every increment that we learn, from the moment, that we start fueling the rocket, to flying it out, to lighting the engines, and observing the response of the system … is a huge step in the maturation of a system.”

Both NASA and SpaceX have shown a green signal for the launch.

Launch of SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft will take place on Wednesday from the Kennedy Space Center.

President Donald Trump will watch American astronauts blast into orbit from the Kennedy Space Center for the first time in more than a decade, next week.

This means he would be on the Florida coast on Wednesday to watch the event unfold. The USP of this event, however, is that Elon Musk's SpaceX is the conductor and NASA the customer as businesses begin chauffeuring astronauts to the International Space Station.

Vice President Mike Pence, who is chairman of the National Space Council, also plans to attend Wednesday's launch.

NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley will arrive at the ISS, 24 hours after the launch.
