Elon Musk's Net Worth Tops $700 Billion

The world's richest man got even richer after a US court decision. The Delaware Supreme Court on Friday (Dec 20) cleared Tech Billionaire Elon Musk's long-contested $56 billion Tesla pay package, reversing an earlier judgment of a lower court. The court ruled that the earlier decision of the lower court to cancel Musk's 2018 pay plan was too extreme a remedy and that the lower court did not give Tesla a chance to say what fair compensation should be. Following the decision, Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s net worth rose to $749 billion, nearly three times that of the world’s second-richest person, Google co-founder Larry Page, who is worth $252.6 billion. Musk is now closer than ever to becoming the first trillionaire, according to Forbes' billionaires index. The five-judge appeals panel determined that Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick of the state's Court of Chancery ruled improperly in ordering a rescission, the invalidating of Musk's package in its entirety. Musk's 2018 package has the approval of the majority shareholders of the company, but it ended up in court after a Tesla Shareholder, Richard Tornetta, challenged the compensation as excessive. The court struck down the award in January 2024 after a five-day trial, describing the process as “deeply flawed.” McCormick noted that Tesla’s board was vulnerable to manipulation by Musk, the paradigmatic ‘Superstar CEO,’ and she upheld her ruling in December 2024 following an appeal. Also Read: ‘Critical documents missing’ in new Epstein file release, says Ro Khanna, ‘likely shielding other rich and powerful’ Despite this, Tesla’s board has consistently supported Musk, approving an “interim” compensation award of around $29 billion in August and later announcing a pay package that could reach $1 trillion. Elon Musk made his wealth by co-founding seven companies, including electric car maker Tesla, rocket company SpaceX, and AI startup xAI. He owns about 12% of Tesla, which he first invested in 2004 and has led as CEO since 2008. SpaceX, founded in 2002, is valued at $800 billion based on a private tender offer in December 2025, with Musk owning an estimated 42% stake. In 2022, Musk bought Twitter in a $44 billion deal and merged it with xAI in March 2025. A Chinese billionaire, who has fathered more than 100 children in the United States through surrogacy agencies, dreams of some of them marrying Tesla CEO Elon Musk's children to build a great family dynasty. In the past as well, Musk has repeatedly referred to his daughter using her birth name and described her transition as the work of a “woke mind virus." Real moral high ground there," wrote another.

Musk's response came after the news came to light following the sources hinting to Bloomberg News that SpaceX is gearing up to offer insider shares in a deal that will value the firm at almost $800 billion. The report also indicated that the sale would enable some employees and investors to liquidate part of their stake.
SpaceX to Offer Insider Shares?
Earlier, on December 5, a source told Bloomberg News that SpaceX is reportedly preparing a new insider shares sale in a transaction that would value Elon Musk’s rocket and satellite maker at more than OpenAI’s record-setting $500 billion valuation. Another source indicated that the proposed share price, above $400 per share, would place SpaceX’s valuation between $750 billion and $800 billion, though final terms are still subject to change. The board of the company discussed the tender offer on Thursday at its Starbase hub in Texas.
Elon Musk attends Trump's dinner
Days ago, Elon Musk had a dinner with Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Tuesday (Nov 18, 2025). The meeting was the second joint public appearance since a bitter public feud earlier this year. Elon Musk reportedly backed and financed the election campaign of Donald Trump last year and later became a key adviser in the new administration, heading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and overseeing reductions in federal spending and staffing, according to a report by news agency Reuters. However, their relationship quickly soured. Musk criticised Trump’s broad tax and spending package online, calling it financially irresponsible, and announced plans to form a new political party. Trump retaliated by threatening to withdraw the federal subsidies worth billions that Musk’s companies relied on. According to analysts, the clash, combined with Musk’s increasingly far-right rhetoric, damaged Tesla’s reputation, sales and share value. Since then, the two have seldom appeared together publicly. Their last known interaction was a handshake at a memorial event for conservative activist Charlie Kirk in September.

US President Donald Trump, has been slapped with a $310 million lawsuit for a trafficking venture which is almost identical to the sex-trafficking venture of Jeffrey Epstein. The lawsuit filed on November 24, in Palm Beach County, has named Tesla CEO Elon Musk, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Notably, Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence is in Palm Beach. The story has been reported by BOCA News Now.com, a hyperlocal website, and the names of the plaintiffs have been redacted for privacy reasons. The lawsuit alleges a “eight-year trafficking and exploitation venture that began in 2018 [that] has continued and escalated under the current Trump administration. It alleges that the defendant has coerced using physical intimidation, financial harm, confinement, fraud and deceit to benefit from creative works, intellectual labour and property of the plaintiff. It accuses Trump of grooming the lead plaintiff of the lawsuit since 1998, “the exact year [the] plaintiff was born.” It accuses Trump of using the Gates Foundation “cover and silencing mechanism” to continue the operation, as well as facilitating “coordinated sexual assaults. The plaintiff also alleged that her infant daughter was taken away because she filed the lawsuit, a technique which is “identical in every material respect” to Epstein’s. The uncertified copy of the lawsuit alleges that the US Department of Homeland Security was aware of the trafficking against the plaintiff but failed to intervene. The lawsuit also alleges that between 2023 and November 2025, there had been 5 different attempts to murder the lead plaintiff employing “poisoning, vehicular assaults and orchestrated physical attacks designed to appear accidental.” The plaintiffs in the case are seeking $310 million in compensatory damages, more than $134 million in attorneys’ fees, and injunctive relief that includes “immediate return of full legal and physical custody” of the lead plaintiff's daughter.
