Drake holds the top spot on the Billboard album chart for a third week with “Certified Lover Boy,” while Lil Nas X starts at No. 2.

“Certified Lover Boy,” which had arrived on the chart with the biggest opening-week numbers in over a year, has since cooled down a little. In its third week out, it had 222 million streams in the United States and sold about 4,000 copies as a complete package; altogether, it was credited with the equivalent of 171,000 sales, according to MRC Data, a tracking service owned by Billboard’s parent company.

Those numbers let “Certified Lover Boy” hold the top spot by a comfortable margin. Over its three weeks out, the album has logged the equivalent of just over 1 million sales in the United States, including nearly 1.3 billion streams. Since the arrival of “Thank Me Later” in 2010, a Drake title has been No. 1 on the weekly Billboard 200 album chart 30 times.

Drake’s closest competitor this week was “Montero” by Lil Nas X, the rapper and meme virtuoso whose “country-trap” song “Old Town Road” was a chart-busting phenomenon two years ago, notching a record 19 weeks at No. 1. In its opening week, “Montero” had the equivalent of 126,000 sales, including 147 million streams, landing at second place.

The other big debut this week is “Sticker” by NCT 127, a “sub-unit” of the 23-man K-pop group NCT. “Sticker” opens at No. 3 with the equivalent of 62,000 sales, mostly from copies sold as a complete package, like CD boxed sets. Its 11 songs had 4.7 million streams in the United States.

It's finally releasing! Rapper-songwriter Drake has confirmed that his long-awaited album 'Certified Lover Boy' will be releasing this week.

The rapper's sixth full-length album will be out on Friday.

The news comes after months of rumours and delays, one official false alarm, a strange ESPN teaser, and a release-date battle with Kanye West`s `Donda` that never happened.

The `One Dance` hitmaker revealed the news on Instagram, sharing an image that featured an array of multiple pregnant women emojis holding their stomachs."CERTIFIED LOVER BOY SEPTEMBER 3," Drake captioned the post, confirming the release date.

This upcoming album will mark the Canadian native`s first full-length project following 2018`s `Scorpion'.

Drake previously released other new material in between, including 2020`s `Dark Lane Demo Tapes` and the `EP Scary Hours 2`, which was released in March. Certified Lover Boy was originally scheduled to be released earlier this year in January but was postponed due to health issues Drake had been facing at the time."I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery. I`m blessed to be back on my feet and feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won`t be dropping in January," Drake wrote in an Instagram Story post at the time.

Months later in June, the Grammy winner then gave an update on the status of the long-awaited project during an interview at the Ultimate Rap League`s N.O.M.E. XI battle rap event. When asked about the release date of `Certified Lover Boy`, Drake confirmed the album would be out before the end of the summer.

"Oh, yeah, I`ll be there. My album will be out by then," he said.

Fans then began to speculate that Certified Lover Boy would get a September 3 drop date after the album`s release was teased during ESPN`s SportsCenter last week.

An ad that appeared to be a normal sports-focused spot played before it became glitch-filled with an unidentifiable man holding up a piece of cardboard with 'CLB September 3' clearly written on it.

Kanye West and Drake feud is shifting to another level.

The longstanding feud drama began again when Drake rapped about West on ‘Betrayal,’ his new collaboration with Trippie Red and after listening to the rap, the audience assumed it was straight going after Kanye.

The singer called out Kanye by "Ye," and maybe referred to him by his exact age, and mocked him as "burned out."

The lyrics were as follows, “All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know / Forty-five, forty-four (Burned out), let it go / Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone,”.

Responding to the lyric, the 44-year-old rapper shared a screenshot of a cryptic text message. Sharing a snap of Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker, he wrote, “I live for this,” Kanye wrote. “I’ve been f*cked with by nerd ass jock n****s like you my whole life. You will never recover. I promise you.”.

It's unclear who the rapper is targeting, fans after all have their own theories. Notably, Drake’s one-time foe Pusha-T is being added to the chat just before the message.
Leading to the chart battle, Drake seems to be referring to Kanye for constantly changing the release date for his upcoming album 'Donda'. There are many rumors swirling around that they are waiting for each other to drop their albums so the other can drop it on the same day, leading to gave a tough battle on the charts.

Also back in March, Drake hinted that he slept with Kanye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian, on his track, 'In My Feelings'. However, Kim denied the rumours.

According to Deadline, the singer has been cast in a psychological thriller centring on “a former social media influencer whose addiction to social media is causing her body to literally fall apart.” Drake will be an executive producer with Matthew Budman & Sumaiya Kaveh producing through their Forest Hill Entertainment. While Canadian Petra Collins will direct the project. The news comes on the same day as Gomez announced her 'Mental Health 101' initiative- a new campaign for those who may be struggling with their mental health. ''I know first hand how scary and lonely it can feel to face anxiety and depression by yourself at a young age,'' Gomez said in a statement. ''The world needs to know that mental health matters. It’s just as important as your physical health, and I wish we could all acknowledge that, not just in words but through our actions,'' she added.
It was an embarrassing night for Drake on Sunday night as he was booed while performing at a music festival where he went on the stage as a surprise headliner.

Drake wasn’t expected by the audience at the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles. Apparently it wasn’t him who was expected as the surpriser headliner but Frank Ocean.

When the audience saw Drake performing, they started booing him as videos of people dissing him surfaced online.

But instead of taking this to heart, Drake made a joke out of it and posted something rather brave on Instagram. He said, "Plot twist... just signed a 10 year residency at Camp Flog Gnaw sorry kids see you EVERY SINGLE YEAR till you are 30."

Proud of her Barbados heritage, the 29-year-old singer returns every year to celebrate the annual Crop Over Festival with as much vigour as other participants. This time around, Rihanna dyed her hair a striking teal and wore a shiny bikini with matching garters and outrageous plumed wings. She completed the look with glittering fishnet tights, dramatic makeup and that confidence!
