<p>But Trudeau, who is looking for greener diplomatic pastures, failed to secure backing from its “closest allies” because, unsurprisingly, they declined to rebuke New Delhi over the death of the Khalistani terrorist.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese refrained from making any negative statements towards India. "Seriously, you should chill out a bit. You know, we were at a venue where Bruce Springsteen played the last time I was there," he told a reporter who pressed him on the matter.</p>

<p>“I am responsible for the murder of Balli in Dala village because it was my own village’s politics which had made me tread this path. This man (Balli) was responsible for keeping my mother in CIA (police) custody for a week and he also got my friends arrested. He was hand in glove with police… and got my home vandalised. He destroyed my home just to gain his own afsar shaahi… My life’s aim was not to live my own life but to kill him. If we wished, we would have killed his child too but that child was nowhere at fault…. those who are sympathising with him, their homes are also not far for us…,”&nbsp;the post says in Punjabi.</p>

<p>Gagandeep Sandhu was found dead inside a vehicle parked in an underground parking lot.</p>

<p>The police got a report of firing at a location about six kilometres away.</p>

<p>They found a black Honda SUV on fire in a wooded area. There is suspicion that this vehicle is connected to the shooting.</p>

<p>The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken over the investigation.</p>

<p>Canadian media has reported that the IHIT did not comment on whether or not the shooting was related to Lower Mainland gang conflict.</p>

<p>"Initial evidence suggests this was a targeted shooting, though the motive remains unclear," said IHIT's statement, as reported by CBC News.</p>

<p>"IHIT is working closely with the RCMP's forensic experts to process both scenes and to determine if they are related," spokesperson Sgt. Timothy Pierotti said, as per a media release.</p>

<p>The IHIT statement has said that initial evidence indicated that Sandhu's killing was targetted.</p>

<p>With his help, two CIA officers and the six diplomats were able to board their flight to Zurich.</p>

<p>His name was revealed on Thursday (September 14), in an episode of the intelligence agency's podcast, <em>The Langley Files</em>.</p>

<p>Even though the CIA always acknowledged that a second officer was extremely important for the operation, his identity was hidden as Johnson did not want to seek public recognition for his role, according to the New York Times.</p>

<p>During opening statements in the city of Windsor, prosecutor Sarah Shaikh alleged that Veltman meticulously planned the attack over three months.</p>

<p>He drove his Dodge Ram truck directly at the family, accelerating with unwavering determination, "because they were Muslims," Shaikh contended. Veltman, an egg farmer from Strathroy, had reportedly purchased the vehicle just two weeks prior.</p>

<p>Shaikh further asserted that Veltman confessed to leaving his home on the day of the attack with the intention of targeting Muslims.</p>

<p>He claimed inspiration from the 2019 Christchurch shootings, in which a white nationalist killed 51 individuals. Veltman had authored a manifesto titled "A White Awakening" and identified himself as a white nationalist. The police discovered two versions of this document on his computer during a search of his residence.</p>
