Ranbir Kapoor to play a special cameo in Aryan Khan's directorial debut Stardom

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's alleged desperate text messages to former zonal director of Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Sameer Wankhede, are currently doing rounds on the internet. According to the viral screenshots, SRK begged the NCB officer, who is currently facing allegations of corruption and criminal misconduct, to go easy on his son Aryan Khan, who spent about a month in jail after getting arrested in the drugs-on-cruise case in 2021.

Wankhede has been accused of conspiring to extort Rs 250 million from the Bollywood actor with the help of "independent witnesses". CBI recently booked Wankhede on extortion charges and stated that the special enquiry team (SET) of the NCB had red-flagged several lapses and irregularities in the drug bust operation conducted under the "monitoring" of Wankhede.

According to reports, the leaked chats between Wankhede and SRK were produced before the court by Wankhede, in order to prove his innocence that he did not extort the actor in the drug case.

One of the screenshots shared by Free Press Journal shows the actor asking the NCB officer to be easy on his son. "Get your guys to go slow for God's sake. I swear I will stand by you at all times to come and assist you with what all you are trying to achieve good. It's a man's promise and you know me enough to know I am good for it. I beg you to please have mercy in me and my family. We are a simple set of people and my son has been a bit wayward, but he doesn't deserve being in a jail like a hardened criminal. You also know that. Please have a heart man, please I beg you," the screenshot read.

Shah Rukh Khan ‘begged’ Sameer Wankhede to release son Aryan Khan from prison; WhatsApp chats leaked

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has admitted that his wife Gauri Khan is the busiest member of the family. SRK launched Gauri Khan's maiden book called My Life in Design on Monday at an event in Mumbai. The actor spoke candidly about how his wife has a hectic schedule and despite their erratic work hours, the family makes it a point to get together for dinner when they are in Mumbai.

Shah Rukh and Gauri share three children- Aryan, Suhana and AbRam together.

The proud husband was seen launching Gauri's coffee table book, which is published by Ebury Press. The coffee table book gives a glimpse of Mannat, Khan's residence in Mumbai which is now considered a landmark property of the city. The book also has exclusive photos of the Khans, including Shah Rukh and their three children, Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan and AbRam Khan.

Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan unveiled the book together at the launch- and matched their clothes with both dressed in black. The book has a forward written by Shah Rukh.

"She is genuinely the busiest person in the house now, compared to me, my son, my daughter and my little one and my sister. I'm like, 'What are you doing the whole day? Why do you keep doing so much work?' She said because it satisfies me. I think this book stands for that."

Twinning and winning! Shah Rukh Khan strikes stylish pose with wife Gauri and kids Suhana, Aryan, AbRam

Just a week after Aryan Khan announced his debut in films as a writer, he has now also revealed his foray into the world of business. The 25-year-old son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is planning to launch a premium vodka brand in India. He and his partners have reportedly tied up with the world's largest brewing company.

Aryan had announced his foray into films as a showrunner and writer of a web series that he will also reportedly direct. The series is being backed by his parent's production company Red Chillies entertainment.

Unlike other star kids, Aryan has decided to make his debut behind the screen instead of acting. Now, just like his famous father, Aryan is diversifying into business avenues as well.

According to a Mint report, Aryan and his two partners--Bunty Singh and Leti Blagoeva--are planning to launch a premium vodka brand and expand into the brown spirits market later. The trio have also launched a company called Slab Ventures, which has partnered with the local arm of Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the world’s largest brewer, for distribution and marketing purposes.

Talking about his business venture, Aryan told Mint, “We thought there was a kind of a void in the current space. And when there’s a void, there’s an opportunity, and I think businesses are all about opportunity."

The premium brand aims to cater to affluent consumers of the country and they also plan to introduce both alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

"The thought was to kind of combine high quality, a youthful disruptive vision, and cool aesthetics, and bring it under one roof, and by doing that, appeal to the more mature, discerning consumers as well as the younger generation,” said Aryan.

Aryan is Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's oldest child. He has two siblings--sister Suhana Khan, who is gearing up for her own Bollywood debut with Zoya Akhtar’s 'The Archies,' and AbRam Khan, who is 9 years old.

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan is all set to make his debut in films. Aryan announced his maiden project on Tuesday on social media. Unlike his younger sister Suhana, who is making her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar's 'Archies' movie, Aryan will not be facing the camera. Instead, he will be donning the writer's hat for a new project which will be backed by his parents' production house Red Chillies Entertainment. Aryan shared a glimpse of the script on social media and wrote, "Wrapped with the writing…can’t wait to say action." Reacting to this, Gauri said, ''I think nothing can be worse than what we've just been through, obviously, as a mother, as a parent. But today where we stand as a family, I can say that we are in a great space where we feel loved by everyone. And all our friends, and so many people who we did not know. So many messages and so much of love and I just feel blessed. And I would say I'm grateful to all the people who have helped us through this."
Aryan created headlines after he was arrested last year on October 3 by NCB during a raid at a party on a luxury cruise off the coast of Mumbai. He was charged for consumption and trafficking of illegal substances. Aryan had to spend a month in jail and was eventually released on bail. After months of investigation, earlier this year, he was given a clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

After a 17-year-long hiatus, Gauri Khan made a comeback on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee with Karan'. Gauri graced the couch with her two friends Maheep Kapoor and Bhavna Pandey. The 12th episode of season 7 was full of banters, secrets, and big revelations as mommies of Bollywood's Gen Z clan talked about their famous kids, famous spouses, and much more. This was the second appearance of Gauri in the chat show and was the debut of Bhavana Pandey, wife of actor Chunky Pandey and mother of actor Ananya Pandey, and Maheep Kapoor, wife of actor Sanjay Kapoor. Gauri Khan opens up on Aryan Khan’s arrest: 'Nothing can be worse than what we've been through'

Nearly after a year of social media hiatus, Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, shared two photos with his siblings on social media. He took to Instagram to share beautiful photographs of himself with sister Suhana Khan and brother AbRam. The photos were captioned, "Hat-trick". The three Khan siblings have a spitting resemblance to their famous father.

In the first picture, the eldest son of the Bollywood star was seen posing for the click while holding younger brother AbRam and sister Suhana Khan in an embrace. The second image was of Aryan and AbRam. While the former had donned an olive T-shirt paired with a jacket and black jeans, the latter was sporting a black hoodie with denim jeans. Suhana looked pretty in her denim strapless top, teamed with light-hued denim shorts.

Aryan's social media post garnered more than 300,000 likes (and counting) and several comments within a couple of hours of being shared. Among the ones who commented was his father, SRK, who wrote, "Why I don't have these pictures!!!!!! Give them to me NOW!"

Give them to me NOW!" After Aryan Khan trolled for partying in Mumbai nightclub, SRK fans say 'Leave the poor guy alone'

After months of investigation, Aryan Khan, son of Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was given 'clean chit' in the Mumbai Drugs case in May this year. Aryan was arrested last year on October 3 by NCB during a raid at a party on a luxury cruise off the coast of Mumbai.

On Thursday, Khan filed a plea in the NDPS court, seeking the return of his passport, which was submitted to the court at the time of his bail by the Bombay High Court last year, when he was one of the accused in the high-profile case.

Aryan Khan gets a clean chit in drugs case: Timeline of events

But now, as the agency has given him clean chit from all the charges of wrongdoing, Aryan 24, has also asked for the cancellation of his bail bond and also a formal order discharging him from the drug case.

After the plea, the court scheduled the hearing of the matter on July 13 and asked NCB to file a reply on the same.

After seven months of investigation since the time Aryan got arrested and subsequently released on bail, in May, the anti-drugs agency filed a charge sheet against 14 persons in which the star kid’s name was not mentioned.

Other than Aryan, six people were given clearance due to a lack of evidence. ''Complaint against rest six persons is not being filed due to lack of sufficient evidence," the NCB official said.

“Those against who evidences we’re not found we’re not chargesheeted,” NCB DG SN Pradhan said.

After clean chit in narcotics case, Aryan Khan moves court to get his passport back

Aryan Khan, 23, the son of Bollywood mega-star Shah Rukh Khan and producer Gauri Khan, admitted to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) that he started smoking Ganja (cannabis) in 2018 while studying for graduation in the US.

The `voluntary statement` of Aryan, made under NDPS Act, 1985, Sec 67, before Ashish Ranjan, IO, is part of the final complaint lodged before the Special NDPS Court by the NCB on Friday (May 27), and came to light hours after the superstar-son was exonerated from the case.

He claimed that at that time, he was suffering from certain sleep disorders and he had read articles on the Internet informing Ganja (also known as bhaang, pot, grass, etc) could help.

Unaware of what lay in store for him ahead, Aryan revealed that he was friends with another co-accused Arbaaz Merchant since the past seven-eight years and even the latter smoked Ganja and Hashish.

At Arbaaz`s coaxing, Aryan admitted he occasionally tried smoking Hashish (Charas) but did not relish it much.

Aryan, along with his friends Pratik, Manav and Arbaaz had gone to the Mumbai International Cruise Terminal (ICT) in his Mercedes car around 15.30 (on Oct 2, 2021) to board the Cordelia Cruise, and Arbaaz had promised to bring Hashish for that party.

While crossing the check-in point at the ICT, Aryan said he was intercepted by NCB`s IO Ashish Ranjan Prasad and even introduced to the then Mumbai Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede as a Gazetted Officer, subjected to a personal search after explaining his rights.

During that physical search, no drugs were recovered from Aryan and he gave up his mobile phone when demanded by the NCB.

After checking some messages, the officer asked Aryan whether he knew Arbaaz Merchant, to which he said yes - and with whom he was to share a cabin in the Cordelia Cruise ship.

When the IO asked Aryan whether he deals with narcotic drugs, he replied that he was into consumption of only natural drugs like Ganja or Hashish.

Aryan also revealed that Arbaaz had taken out and handed over a small quantity of Charas to the NCB IO Ashish Ranjan Prasad, and said whatever was recovered (from Arbaaz) was for consumption only and probably procured by him from Bandra, after which the NCB team tested the Charas with some kit and sealed it in a pouch.

Later, the NCB team thoroughly searched all the cabins allotted to Aryan and his friends, and served with a notice to appear immediately before the NCB Mumbai Office to give his voluntary statement.

In the questioning, Aryan confessed to making the `incriminating WhatsApp drug chats` on his mobile phone and signed on the chats transcript.

The conversation with his friend Archit pertaining to a poker game and procurement of Weed from him in return for a Rs 80,000 loan which he (Archit) was unable to repay, through some supplier he knew in Powai and Bandra.

The bewildered Aryan was enlightened on the arrest charges through his Memo of Arrest which he countersigned as a receipt and the information was related to Shah Rukh Khan and his family members.

‘Aryan Khan started smoking marijuana as a student in the United States', star kid’s statement to NCB

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has been given a 'clean chit' in the Mumbai Drugs case.

Aryan's case was under trial for seven months since the time he got arrested and subsequently released on bail.
Aryan was granted bail on October 28, 2021 and released from Mumbai's Arthur Road Jail two days later.

SRK's son and his friend Arbaaz Merchant along with Munmun Dhamecha were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 while they were on their way to attend a party at a cruise liner off the coast of Mumbai. The NCB had raided the party as well and had alleged they had found illegal drugs being circulated at the event.

The NCB arrested these three - along with 20 others (who were arrested on different dates) - on October 3 after a raid conducted on the cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.

Here is a timeline of events:

-Aryan Khan was arrested on October 3 by NCB under section 27 of the NDPS (Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act). Soon after his arrest, the superstar's son was taken to JJ Hospital in Mumbai for medical evaluation. The arrest took place a day after NCB conducted raids on a cruise off the coast of Mumbai.

- On October 7, a Mumbai court sent Aryan and seven other accused to 14-day judicial custody. On October 8, the court rejected the bail pleas of Aryan, Merchant and Dhamecha.

- Aryan was lodged at the Arthur Road Jail and on October 20, his legal team moved the Bombay HC.

- NCB summoned Bollywood actress Ananya Panday for questioning on October 21. Panday is actor Chunky Panday's daughter. She was questioned about her old whats app chats with Aryan, and the actress claimed she never used any narcotics. The same day, NCB visited her Mumbai residence to collect a few documents.

- NCB also went to SRK's home Mannat to collect certain documents related to Aryan Khan's the same day but no raid was conducted during the visit. On the same day, a special court in Mumbai extended the judicial custody of Aryan and seven other accused in the case till October 30.

- There was a dramatic twist to the case on October 24 when a witness named Prabhakar Sail added that a bribe of Rs 25 crore was being discussed in NCB related to the case. Sail was the driver of absconding alleged private investigator KP Gosavi, whose selfie with Aryan Khan went viral. He claimed that there was a demand for Rs 25 crore bribe to let off Aryan. Prabhakar told media persons that he had overheard Gosavi telling one Sam D’Souza over the phone after Aryan Khan was brought to the NCB office following the raid, a demand of Rs 25 crore bribe was made and it was eventually settled at Rs 18 crore as they had to "give Rs 8 crore to Sameer Wankhede.”

- The extortion claims were indirectly refuted by the NCB which called Sail a witness in the case, and he was to only speak at court instead of making statements of social media as the matter was sub-judice. The statement, signed by NCB DDG Mutha Ashok, also added that Wankhede has categorically denied the allegations.

- Sameer Wankhede, the NCB officer who conducted the raid and had arrested Aryan, requested the Mumbai police commissioner to ensure no legal action is falsely carried out against him based on “ulterior motives” following claims of extortion that were levied upon him.

- A vigilance inquiry was ordered against Wankhede to probe into the extortion claims.

- On October 27 Wankhede was questioned by a vigilance team headed by Deputy Director General (northern region) NCB, Gyaneshwar Singh in connection with the allegations of extortion.

- On October 28, Wankhede moved to the Bombay High Court, seeking interim protection from arrest or any coercive action against him. The Maharashtra government the same day told the Bombay High Court that it will not arrest Wankhede without giving him prior notice of three working days, in connection with the allegations of extortion levelled against him.

- The Bombay High Court also granted bail to Aryan Khan the same day, days before his father's birthday.

- May 27, 2022, Aryan was given a clean chit on the case by the court.

Aryan Khan shares first social media post since his arrest in drugs case

A special court on Thursday granted 60 days extension to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to file a chargesheet in the drugs case involving Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan

The probe agency had on Monday filed an application before special judge V V Patil, seeking a 90-day extension to file a charge sheet in the case since the investigation in the high-profile case was still on.

However, the judge, after hearing arguments of both the prosecution and defence lawyers, gave the probe agency another 60 days to file a chargesheet in the case.

The NCB, through a special public prosecutor, had argued that there were "compelling reasons" to seek the extension.
Aryan Khan was named an accused in the case along with 19 others by the NCB last year.

The 24-year-old was arrested by the NCB on October 3 last year, following a raid on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. The accused persons were booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for alleged possession, consumption, sale/purchase of banned drugs, conspiracy and abetment, among others.

The probe agency has claimed that the chemical examination reports of all the 17 samples were received on March 12, which proved that the entire contraband recovered during the raid was narcotics/psychotropic drugs.

The central probe agency stated that some of the accused are highly influential persons and have incriminating chats with foreign nationals, who are also located outside India. Examination of such chats is in progress as foreign nationals are involved, it said.

Due to the severe COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country from November 2021 to February 2022, the response has been delayed from the foreign agencies, the plea said.

Seeking time to file a chargesheet, the NCB in its plea claimed that the investigation was almost complete with respect to six accused as their role is intertwined and interconnected.

The examination and recording of voluntary statements of K P Gosavi, the main panch witness, during the two recoveries made on October 2, 2021, is not complete as he is under judicial custody in other cases, it said.

Further, the NCB said that the second panch witness - Prabhakar Sail - has turned hostile and his purported affidavit in this regard is still pending before the court. Thus in such a situation, examining Gosavi becomes necessary and pivotal to unearth the true and correct facts of this case.

Of the 20 arrested accused in the case, only two - Abdul Kadar and Chinedu Igwe - are currently in judicial custody and the rest are out on bail.

Opposing the probe agency's plea, Kadar's lawyer Kushal Mor submitted that the probe agency has filed the application only to keep him behind the bars. Further, he argued that there is no "justifiable reason" to seek the extension.

Appearing for Igwe, advocate Ayaz Khan submitted that they were "handicapped" because of non-supply of report submitted to the court by the prosecution.

"My right to express is affected," he added.

As per the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), the drug law enforcement agency was supposed to file the chargesheet in the October 2021 case within 180 days of the arrest of the accused. If the chargesheet is not filed within the stipulated period then the accused can seek default bail as per the provisions of CrPC.

In case a prosecuting agency requires further time, the CrPC allows it to seek a maximum extension of another 90 days to file such a document.
