A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three youths including a relative for hours inside a moving a car in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The incident occurred on April 18, according to the victim's statement.

The girl has alleged that three people, including a distant relative and a fellow classmate offered to drop her home since she had missed her school bus. But that the men then gang-raped her.

The third accused in the case has not yet been unidentified.

In her statement to police, the 16-year old has alleged her attackers forced her to have a spiked drink before they attacked her.

The girl's parents filed a police complaint in the evening after she did not return home.

The police later found her on a road near Knowledge Park at about 2 am in the morning.

The girl, whe was unconscious when she was found, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

She recorded her statement after being discharged.

News reports quoted a senior police officer investigating the matter as saying a case has been registered under sections 376D of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.

Police added that all three accused are absconding.
