The Global Economic Prospects report stated that the world economy was already struggling from the aftermath of the pandemic and with the Russian invasion making things worse, the global economy is currently headed towards “a protracted period of feeble growth and elevated inflation”.

“The danger of stagflation is considerable today. Subdued growth will likely persist throughout the decade because of weak investment in most of the world. With inflation now running at multi-decade highs in many countries and supply expected to grow slowly, there is a risk that inflation will remain higher for longer,” World Bank President David Malpass wrote in the report.

This is the worst growth rate seen in the global economy since the 1970s and by 2024, the pace of global growth is projected to slow by 2.7 percentage points – two times the rate in the late 1970s.

The only winners in the current situation are predicted to be the commodity exporters who can take advantage of the high energy prices, according to the report by the World Bank.

Kakabaveh, however, did not vote against the government during the no-confidence motion on Tuesday and earlier, she told Reuters she would help the government if it affirmed that "we support the Kurds and people from those organisations coming to Sweden are not terrorists".

Türkiye has maintained that Sweden has links to Kurdish groups – who are considered terrorists by them – and the latest incident can bolster their claims in blocking Sweden and Finland from joining the alliance.

However, the Swedish government has maintained that they have no associations with any terrorist group and their only cooperation is with Syrian Democratic Union Party – a Kurdish group.

The Hubble Space Telescope has been crucial in charting out the universe and since its launch in 1990, the telescope has sent a huge number of pictures for NASA to study. Over the years, the pictures have helped NASA and a number of researchers to understand the universe much better and with time, the technology has also advanced by leaps and bounds. An international team of scientists have now released what is being considered as the largest near-infrared image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. It covers a huge amount of area, and the researchers believe that the image can help in understanding star-forming regions of the universe and extremely distant galaxies.

The researchers at the University of Toronto came up with a new technique known as Drift and Shift (DASH) to catch the image and according to their study, it was able to create an image almost eight times larger than the normal pictures taken by the Hubble telescope.

According to a paper to be published in The Astrophysical Journal, the technique helps the Hubble to take eight pictures per orbit instead of one picture resulting in a massive increase in data and the images are finally put together to create a panoramic view.

"Since its launch more than 30 years ago, the Hubble Space Telescope has led a renaissance in the study of how galaxies have changed in the last 10-billion years of the universe," said Lamiya Mowla from the University of Toronto.

"The 3D-DASH programme extends Hubble's legacy in wide-area imaging so we can begin to unravel the mysteries of the galaxies beyond our own," he added.

This resulted in Nebenzia walking out of the meeting in protest. The ambassador told Reuters that he could stay longer because of “the lies that Charles Michel came here to distribute”.

Internet speeds around the world has gone up considerably in the last decade but scientists are still trying to improve it every day. With the roll out of 5G technology, the world will be entering a new era of internet speeds but researchers in Japan have achieved data transmission speeds that are almost 100,000 times faster than 5G. The Network Research Institute at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) claimed the world record by completing data transmission at an astonishing speed of 1.02 petabit (PB) per second. That roughly translated into 125,000 Gigabytes (GB) per second, and it can be transmitted over a distance of about over 51.7 km.

The previous record also belonged to NICT with 1 petabit per second which was achieved in 2020.

This will be the first mission to study the atmosphere in Venus and the paper stated that the probe used in the mission will be acting like a flying analytical chemistry laboratory.&nbsp; The atmospheric gases and pictures taken during the mission will be analysed to understand the gas composition of Venus.
