<p>The event organisers did a makeover of the train carriage and converted it into a wrestling ring. Organisers touted the event as the first-ever of its type where the wrestlers in the competition were blowing punches inside the running bullet train.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The train was running between Tokyo and Nagoya during the game. Nozomi Shinkansen train was running at high speeds of up to 285 kilometres per hour when Japanese wrestlers Minoru Suzuki and Sanshiro Takagi were fighting inside the train.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Chinese foreign ministry provided this information in a statement to Reuters.</p>

<p>In what appears to be a defence from their side, China's foreign ministry in Hong Kong stated that the request is in line with "international customary practices".&nbsp;</p>

<p>"This measure is in line with international customary practice. It is understood that Chinese consulates stationed abroad also provide local employee information to the host country according to local government requirements," the statement read.</p>

<p>According to the letter, consulates are expected to comply with this request by October 18. It is worth noting that under Hong Kong's mini-constitution, Beijing has authority over foreign affairs concerning the special administrative region.</p>

<p>Hong Kong was a British colony until 1997 when it was handed back to China under a Sino-British Joint Declaration. This agreement was intended to ensure a high degree of autonomy and a "one country, two systems" framework for Hong Kong, allowing it to maintain its legal, economic, and political systems for 50 years after the handover.</p>

Sonia Gandhi 'tried to grab collar': BJP MP rakes up 2012 controversy

<p>Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a designated terrorist and leader of banned&nbsp;Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has threatened the Hindus living in Canada to leave the country and announced a fresh referendum and vote asking if the Indian high commissioner was responsible for the assassination of&nbsp;Khalistani terrorist&nbsp;Hardeep Singh Nijjar.</p>

<p>In a video that is going viral on social media,&nbsp;Pannun said that they want to avenge Nijjar, whose death has sparked a diplomatic row between India and Canada after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused 'agents of the Indian government' of orchestrating the attack.</p>

<p>"Indo-Canadian Hindus, you have repudiated your allegiance to Canada and the Canadian constitution.&nbsp;Your destination is India. Leave Canada, and go to India. Pro-Khalistan Sikhs have always been loyal to Canada. They have always sided with Canada and uphold&nbsp;the laws and constitution," Pannun was heard saying in the&nbsp;45-second video.</p>

<p>"On October 29, the shaheed (martyr) Nijjar referendum is happening in Vancouver. I urge all Canadian Sikhs to be in Vancouver on October 29, to vote on: Is the Indian High Commissioner Responsible for the assassination of&nbsp;Hardeep Singh Nijjar," he said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Canada expelled a top Indian diplomat after the country's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made a speech levelling grave allegations against India.&nbsp;New Delhi, in a retaliatory move, also asked a senior Canadian diplomat to leave the country within the next five days.</p>

<p>"The High Commissioner of Canada to India was summoned today and informed about the decision of the Government of India to expel a senior Canadian diplomat based in India. The concerned diplomat has been asked to leave India within the next five days," an official readout said.</p>

<p>"The decision reflects Government of India’s growing concern at the interference of Canadian diplomats in our internal matters and their involvement in anti-India activities," it added.&nbsp;</p>

In a video that is going viral on social media, Pannun said that they want to avenge Nijjar, whose death has sparked a diplomatic row between India and Canada after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused 'agents of the Indian government' of orchestrating the attack. "Indo-Canadian Hindus, you have repudiated your allegiance to Canada and the Canadian constitution. Your destination is India. Leave Canada, and go to India. Pro-Khalistan Sikhs have always been loyal to Canada. They have always sided with Canada and uphold the laws and constitution," Pannun was heard saying in the 45-second video. <p>"But I ask you this: If we abandon the core principles of the UN Charter to appease an aggressor, can any member state feel confident that they are protected? If we allow Ukraine to be carved up, is the independence of any nation secure?" &nbsp;</p>

<p>After years of captivity in Iran, five Americans are finally en route to their homeland, the United States. This comes after a contentious swap agreement brokered by Qatar resulted in the transfer of approximately $6 billion in Iranian money from South Korea to banks in Doha. Four American men and one woman, who also hold Iranian citizenship, departed from Tehran on a chartered flight bound for the capital of Qatar. Upon their arrival in Doha, they received a warm reception from senior US officials and are scheduled to be transported to Washington, DC.</p>

<p>These Americans include individuals who have endured prolonged incarceration in Iran and whose release has garnered much international attention.</p>

<h2><strong>Here are profiles of the returning Americans</strong></h2>

<h2><strong>Siamak Namazi (Age: 51)</strong></h2>

<p>Siamak Namazi, a 51-year-old businessman, has spent nearly eight years confined within Tehran's notorious Evin prison. He was working in Dubai for Crescent Petroleum Co. when he was apprehended during a visit to his family in Tehran back in 2015.</p>

<p>Tragically, his elderly father, Baquer Namazi, was also detained the following year after Iranian officials permitted him to visit his imprisoned son.</p>

<p>His father Baquer Namazi was arrested at the Tehran airport. He served two years of his sentence. The 86-year-old Iranian-American was previously prevented from departing Iran.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Shargi, an Iranian-American entrepreneur, relocated to Iran from the United States in 2017 along with his spouse.</p>

<p>The 58-year-old businessman initially was taken into custody by the Revolutionary Guards in April 2018 when he was working for the Iranian venture capital fund Sarava.</p>

<p>In April 2021, his daughters shared with the Washington Post that he was enduring harsh conditions in prison and had only been allowed a couple of brief, monitored phone calls.</p>

<p>Then, in August 2023, Shargi was placed under house arrest.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Morad Tahbaz (Age: 67)</strong></h2>

<p>Morad Tahbaz, a 67-year-old environmentalist, was arrested in 2018 along with eight other Iranian conservationists. The group were members of the Persian Wildlife Heritage Foundation. They were reportedly tracking critically endangered wild Asiatic cheetahs using cameras. Iran accused them of espionage.&nbsp;</p>

But the US leader this time tackled the age questions he reels under all the time in a quite straightforward manner. Biden, during a fundraiser at a Broadway theatre in New York, while taking the bull by its horns said, "A lot of people seem focused on my age."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I get it, believe me, I know it more than anyone," he said, this time in a straightforward manner without pulling puns.&nbsp;</p>

<p>His comments came after former president Donald Trump took a jibe at Biden, who at 80 is the oldest president of America.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Trump called Biden “not too old" for a second term in the White House. The comments first appeared to be lending support to Biden, but Trump quickly took a U-turn. "I think he's incompetent," Trump quipped.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Some of the greatest world leaders have been in their 80s. I'm not anywhere very near 80, by the way. And Biden's not too old. But I think he's incompetent, and that's a bigger problem,” Trump said in a conversation with NBC.</p>

<p>Giving details on the Lviv attack, the mayor of the city Andriy Sadovyi said the&nbsp;body of a man, who used to work at one of the warehouses tha came under Rusian attack, was found under the debris.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, regional govenor Maxim Kozitsky in a post on the Telegram messaging app said, "I want to emphasise that these are ordinary industrial warehouses. Nothing military was stored there."&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Russian drone attacks&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Kozitsky said that out of a total of 18 drone attacks that Russia carried out against Ukraine, seven were directly over the Lviv region. He added that Ukraine was able to successfully shoot down 15 of them.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After taking the extreme step of expelling a top Indian diplomat,&nbsp;Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is attempting to clarify his diplomatic tone by saying that Canada is not looking to provoke India in connection with the killing of Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Canada is not trying to provoke India by suggesting its agents were linked to the murder of a Sikh separatist leader but Ottawa wants New Delhi to address the issue properly," Reuters quoted him as saying on Tuesday (September 19).</p>

<p>"The government of India needs to take this matter with the utmost seriousness. We are doing that, we are not looking to provoke or escalate," he reportedly said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He said it was important to remember that paedophilia "existed and that it still exists".</p>

<p>Sentenced in 2004 to life imprisonment, Dutroux, today aged 66, was found guilty on charges including kidnapping and raping six girls and young women from 1995-1996, and the murder of two of the teenagers.</p>

<p>The modest red-brick building in the Marcinelle suburb of Charleroi became infamous when in August 1996 Dutroux led police to two kidnapped girls, aged 14 and 12, cowering in the basement.</p>

<p>The investigation into Belgium's worst paedophile crimes established that Julie and Melissa had also been held at the property for months.</p>

<p>Public shock turned to fury as it emerged not only that police had missed a string of clues, but that Dutroux had been released from jail in 1992 after serving just three years of a 13-year sentence for the abduction and rape of five girls.</p>

<p>"There isn't anyone in Belgium who hasn't heard of these disappearances," said Charleroi mayor Paul Magnette.</p>

<p>"It was a tragedy of sufficiently universal scope that it must be marked for eternity."</p>

<p>Gino Russo, the father of victim Melissa, thanked the city for agreeing to his "express demand" that the underground dungeon be preserved beneath the monument.</p>

<p>People may have gained a life lesson or two from web series. But it is rare for people to learn a life-saving medical technique to save someone's life. Rare, but it happened. A 12-year-old boy Austen saved the life of his 30-year-old registered behaviour technician’s by using the CPR technique he had picked up from the Netflix series <em>Stranger Things</em>.&nbsp;</p>

<p>What's more heartening is that his mother, who was not so proud of his child watching the series, also gave him a pat on his back appreciating his actions.&nbsp;</p>

This comes as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier teased that "historic decisions" will be taken&nbsp;during the Special Session of the Indian Parliament, the second day of which will be conducted in the new building.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The government on Monday (September 18) refrained from the customary post-Cabinet meeting briefing. Now, after this big development, anticipation is mounting as to what lies ahead in the Special Session.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Women's Reservation Bill was introduced for the first time in the parliament on September 12, 1996. The focal point of the deliberation was the introduction of a constitutional amendment bill with the aim of reserving one-third of the seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women.</p>

<p>Now, after about 27 years, since its initial introduction to parliament, the Women's Reservation Bill has been approved by the Cabinet and will be tabled in Parliament. Different versions of the bill were also introduced in 1998, 1999, and 2008.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A number of crucial discussions were held preceding the Cabinet meeting. It included meetings between Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, and Home Minister Amit Shah, along with the presence of BJP chief JP Nadda.</p>

<p>Amid speculation over the outcome&nbsp;of the Cabinet meeting, Indian media outlet NDTV, citing sources, reported on the approval of the bill.&nbsp;Indian Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, in a now-deleted post on X, said,&nbsp;"Only the Modi government had the moral courage to fulfil the demand for women's reservation. Which was proved by the approval of the cabinet. Congratulations PM Narendra Modi and congratulations to the PM Modi government."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Congress leader and former Finance Minister, P&nbsp;Chidambaram touted the potential introduction of the bill as a win for the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a post on X, P&nbsp;Chidambaram wrote, "If the government introduces the Women's Reservation Bill tomorrow, it will be a victory for the Congress and its allies in the UPA government. Remember, it was during the UPA government that the Bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha on 9-3-2010. In its 10th year, the BJP is resurrecting the Bill that it had buried in the hope that the clamour for the Bill will die."</p>

<p>He added, "On the contrary, at every opportunity -- most recently at the CWC at Hyderabad -- the Congress has vociferously pleaded for the Bill to be passed in Parliament. Let's hope that the Bill will be introduced and passed in the ongoing Session."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Prior to the Cabinet meeting, speculations were rife about decisions on reservations&nbsp;for women or Other Backward Classes. Other potential proposals&nbsp;which were keenly looked into by political pundits were regarding "One Nation One Election" and even a change of the country's name from India to Bharat.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>All-party calls for Women's Reservation Bill</strong></h2>

<p>Leading up to the parliament's five-day session which commenced Monday, both ruling and opposition parties voiced strong support for the women's reservation bill.</p>

<p>During an all-party meeting convened by the government on the eve of the session, many leaders called on the urgency of tabling the long-pending bill and expressed hope for its consensus passage. The bill, at the heart of these discussions, is aimed at reserving one-third of all seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women.</p>
