Nvidia's shares were trading about 3% higher at a record high of $808 on Friday, maintaining its position as the third most valuable U.S. firm.

That gave the company a market value of $2.05 trillion, compared with $1.52 trillion at the end of January. Its shares have surged nearly 60% this year, after more than tripling in value in 2023.

The chip designer's 2024 share jump has been crucial for the S&amp;P 500's performance, contributing to more than a quarter of the stock index's rise this year.

Its latest market-beating forecast of a whopping 233% growth in first-quarter revenue helped global markets notch record highs on Thursday.

"We anticipate revenue will rise by a couple of billion each quarter throughout fiscal 2025 for Nvidia as more chip supply comes online."

The man had been accused of disseminating a forbidden Ahmadi text, which firebrand clerics consider tantamount to blasphemy –- a hot-button issue in Muslim-majority Pakistan where even unproven allegations of offending Islam have sparked violence.

The Supreme Court issued a statement on Thursday evening defending the ruling, denying that it went against the Islamic constitution.

"This impression is absolutely wrong," it said. "The organised campaign against judiciary and judges is unfortunate."

Isa's ruling first went unnoticed two weeks ago, before it was highlighted by social media accounts linked to the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan party behind violent anti-blasphemy protests.

The Pakistani chapter of the Taliban militant group -- known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) -- called Isa "an enemy of Islam" and "a damned man".

But the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan said his ruling "protects the constitutional right of all religious minorities to freedom of religion or belief".

"Those political leaders and sections of the media that are responsible for this campaign must be restrained," the organisation said on social media platform X.

Ahmadis have been discriminated against and persecuted for decades in Pakistan, because of their belief in a 19th century prophet after Muhammad.

The second amendment of Pakistan's constitution, made in 1974, declares Ahmadis non-Muslims.

The law also prohibits them from professing to be Muslims or spreading their faith, and allows the death penalty for those found guilty of insulting Islam.

In his judgement, Isa ruled that according to the constitution, "every citizen shall have the right to profess, practice and propagate his religion".

"Freedom of faith is one of the fundamental tenets of Islam. But sadly, in matters of religion, tempers flare up and the Qur'anic mandate is forsaken," he added.

He also said the book allegedly disseminated by the accused had not been outlawed at the time of the alleged crime in 2019.

Imran Khan's lawyer, Ali Zafar, announced that Khan's letter to the IMF will explicitly state that if the IMF wishes to engage in talks with Pakistan, it should insist on conditions, including an independent audit of the elections.

The letter noted the commission's previous attempts to address similar concerns with the district administration in January 2022 and July 2023.

Despite these efforts, no action has been taken thus far, and the NCPCR asserted that the district administration could be held responsible for any adverse consequences resulting from the dissemination of such content.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) hit out at the&nbsp;Congress government in the Indian state of Karnataka and labelled it as anti-Hindu, after the latter passed the 'Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Bill 2024' in the state assembly on Wednesday (Feb 21).

The bill grants the government the authority to levy a 10 per cent tax on temples with revenues exceeding 10 million and a 5 per cent tax on those with revenues ranging between 1 million and 10 million.

Vijayendra Yediyurappa, the Karnataka BJP president, accused the Congress government of consistently adopting&nbsp;anti-Hindu policies and asserted that the bill reflects an attempt to replenish the government's finances.

Yediyurappa expressed concerns and said that funds collected under the bill would be diverted for purposes other than temple renovation and the well-being of devotees, raising the possibility of unrest and deception.

"Under this, the government will collect 10 per cent of the income from temples earning over 10 million, this is nothing but poverty. The offering dedicated by the devotees to the&nbsp;God and for the development of the temple should be allocated for the renovation of the temple and for the convenience of the devotees. If it is allocated for another purpose, it is on the divine beliefs of the people. There will be violence and fraud," said&nbsp;Yediyurappa.

He questioned the selective targeting of Hindu temples and emphasised&nbsp;that other religions were not subjected to similar measures.

Scott Chandler,&nbsp;American Airlines senior vice president of revenue management and loyalty, cited the rise in fuel costs as a significant factor in the decision to adjust fees.

“Fuel has gone up quite a bit. That’s a big component of our costs when we’re carrying bags. We periodically look at all of our costs and where we can sort of help balance cost out with revenues, said Chandler.

He explained that periodic evaluations of costs are conducted to balance them with revenues.

The revised bag fees are effective for any bookings made from Feb 20 onward. Existing reservations ticketed on or before Feb 19 will retain the previous bag fees.
