Sri Lanka is in debt and it's vulnerable financial position worldwide has given China the impetuous in a way to increase its economic, defence and security cooperation with the island nation. But this is where things get tricky, economic and security cooperation requires a lot of money and given its massive debt the Sri Lankan government plans to ask China for a moratorium on loan repayments.
