WION Dispatch: Pak Army chief Bajwa tenure extended till May 2020

The Supreme Court of Pakistan granted a conditional extension to incumbent Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday. Bajwa will continue serving as Chief of Army Staff for six months, the court ruled. The Parliament will decide on his further tenure. "We leave this matter to parliament to make law regarding this," Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa said while delivering the verdict.
