U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has removed Randy George, the top general in the U.S. Army, in a sudden leadership shake-up during the ongoing US-Iran war. The Pentagon confirmed that George would retire immediately, even though his four-year term was expected to run until 2027.
