Auto stocks fell on Thursday as the US is pushing ahead with some harsh tariffs on automakers and threatened more sweeping trade taxes, reinforcing investor concern about the hit to global economic growth. Asian shares skidded with Wall Street after Trump's announcement. Shares in Japan's biggest car companies fell. Stocks of Japanese automakers Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors, and South Korea's Hyundai fell by over 3%.
