Thousands of supporters rally in Dhaka as opposition demands Hasina's resignation

The capital city of Dhaka witnessed massive protests by the opposition parties who demanded prime minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation to ensure free and fair elections in January next year. The protestors headed by Bangladesh Nationalist Party saw the largest turnouts in recent times with thousands of supporters hitting the streets.
