Syrian interim authorities have reportedly thwarted a terrorist plot aimed at a Shiite shrine south of Damascus, as per state news agency SANA. The plot, allegedly orchestrated by an Islamic State (IS) affiliate, targeted the Sayyida Zainab shrine, a significant site for Shiite pilgrims.
