Superfetation: Can a woman get pregnant again while already being pregnant?

In medical terminology, the occurrence of a second conception during pregnancy is called superfetation. It can happen in just days or weeks after the first one. In simple terms, the condition is the situation when a pregnancy occurs during an existing pregnancy. It gives rise to embryos of different ages in the uterus. This condition is extremely rare in humans.
