South African Cheetahs to roam in India soon; SA-India sign deal to translocate over 100 Cheetahs
South Africa has signed a deal to transfer more than a hundred Cheetahs to India. The deal is a part of an ambitious project to reintroduce the spotted cats in India. South African Environment Ministry said an initial batch of 12 Cheetahs would be flown to India next month.
