This move not only supports India's economic growth but also eases the pressure on its trade deficit. India, the world's third-largest oil importer and consumer, has managed to surpass Europe as the largest buyer of Russian crude this year. This shift comes in the aftermath of western sanctions on Moscow due to its invasion of Ukraine.
