One of the worst floods in decades have hit a string of Russian regions in the Ural Mountains and Siberia in recent days. Flood waters triggered by melting snow have hit a large area stretching from Russia's Ural mountains to the border area with Kazakhstan. At least 10,000 homes were flooded, leaving thousands of people with only their pets and a few belongings as they fled.
