Younger people are the ones who use the Oxford word of the year, which is internet slang for charm or romantic appeal. It was one of eight terms selected from a shortlist to represent the tone, ethos, or themes of 2023. A public vote was used to reduce the list, and Oxford lexicographers ultimately made the selection.
