Jammu and Kashmir Elections: Phase 3 Voting Begins Today

Jammu and Kashmir heads to the polls today, October 1, 2024, for Phase 3 of its Assembly elections, where the electoral fate of 415 candidates, including former deputy CMs Tara Chand and Muzaffar Beig, will be decided. Over 20,000 polling staff have been deployed across seven districts. Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for the Jammu zone, assured that robust security measures are in place to ensure "terror-free and peaceful" voting.
