According to Yossi Karadi, Director General of Israel's National Cyber Directorate, hostile cyber incidents have skyrocketed from 1,600 per month in June 2025 to a staggering 4,800 incidents in June 2026. While Israel has successfully defended its highly protected critical infrastructure, a new wave of destructive "wiper" malware is wreaking havoc on small to medium-sized businesses.
