Intense Snowfall Blankets Kashmir
A massive avalanche hit the popular Sonamarg tourist area in Jammu and Kashmir, engulfing houses and vehicles. Several areas in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir have received fresh snowfall, leading to dropping of temperatures across North India. From Himachal Pradesh, a heart-wrenching incident surfaced where a pet pitbull stayed beside its owner’s body, who had succumbed to cold weather. The loyal dog refused to leave the owner’s body for four days amid a storm in Chamba’s freezing hills.
