IMF to decide on release of $1.1 BN to Pakistan by late April
IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva announced that Pakistan has requested a follow-up deal after successfully completing its existing programme. Last month, Pakistan and the IMF reached a staff-level agreement on the second and final review of the $3 billion stand-by arrangement. This agreement is poised to release approximately $1.1 billion to Pakistan.
