IIT Bombay claims student used AI tools during exam
A 22-year-old IIT Bombay engineering student died by suicide on September 18, hours after he was found using a mobile phone during an examination and allegedly uploading the question paper to ChatGPT for answers. IIT Bombay said the student was counselled and assured that the incident would not adversely affect his academic career, while police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
