Germany transfers Bitcoin to exchanges
The German government has recently moved millions of dollars in seized Bitcoin to major exchanges signaling an intent to sell. Blockchain analysis firm Arkham reported these transactions originated from a wallet linked to the German federal criminal police office, also called the BKA. The BKA had seized nearly 50,000 Bitcoin in 2013 from a film piracy website.
