Former PM Nawaz Sharif to return to Pakistan next month, as hinted by outgoing PM Shehbaz Sharif. Earlier, president Alvi approves the dissolution of the Pakistan National Assembly. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that he will step down on the 9th of August and dissolve the government. This signifies the country's general elections will have to be held within 90 days.
