Central and western India brace for extended heatwaves

India's weather department has said that the central and western regions of the country may suffer higher number of heatwave days than usual. The capital New Delhi too has been facing elevated temperatures. Umbrellas, sunglasses and more have been providing locals with some respite from the harsh afternoon sun.
