In a historic first the honorary Palme d'Or of this year's Cannes Film Festival has been awarded as a collective prize. This marks an unprecedented event in the festival's 77-year-long history. This year at a ceremony at the Cannes film festival Japanese production house Studio Ghibli was celebrated for his pioneering contribution to the world of animated Cinema.
