Mark Carney has been sworn in as Canada’s new Prime Minister, vowing to stand firm against US pressure amid rising trade tensions. In his first statement, Carney declared that "Canada will never be part of the US" but expressed hopes for reconciliation. Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre also congratulated Carney on his victory.
