Brazil has introduced stricter rules on children’s use of social media, with a new law aimed at protecting minors from harmful online content.
Under the new framework, users under the age of 16 will be required to connect their accounts with a parent or guardian. Authorities say the move is designed to increase oversight and reduce exposure to unsafe material online.
The law forms part of broader efforts to regulate digital platforms and strengthen child safety protections.
