Brazil Rejects US Terrorist Tag for Two Local Crime Factions
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has strongly condemned the U.S. decision to designate Brazil's two largest criminal groups, the Comando Vermelho (CV) and Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC), as Foreign Terrorist Organizations. Lula criticized the move as "undue interference" and warned that such unilateral measures threaten Brazil's national sovereignty and could hinder international police cooperation.
