Afghanistan Earthquake: 6.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Afghanistan, At Least 7 Dead

Afghanistan Earthquake: A powerful 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck northern Afghanistan near the city of Mazar-e Sharif in the early hours of November 3, 2025. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 28 kilometers. The tremor caused widespread panic, with residents fleeing their homes fearing collapse. At least seven people were reported dead and around 150 injured, with damage reported to local infrastructure including the historic Blue Mosque.
