The petroglyphs found at the Ponto das Lajes archaeological site, or Place of Slabs, appear to have been created by indigenous people before contact with European explorers.&nbsp;

The airport security personnel arrested the passenger. As per an official statement released by Akasa Air, “Akasa Air flight QP 1148, flying from Pune to Delhi at 12.07 am on October 21, 2023, and carrying 185 passengers and six crew members on board, received a security alert shortly after take-off.”

“As per safety and security procedures, the plane was diverted to Mumbai. The Captain followed all required emergency procedures and landed safely at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 12.42 a.m.,” the statement further read.

Speaking about the incident, a police official said, “The CISF officer informed the Mumbai Police Control about the incident at around 2.30 am after which the luggage of the passenger of that flight was searched. The BDDS team as well as police officers were also present there. But during the investigation, the police did not find any suspicious object there.” 
 
The officer further stated that one of the relatives of the passenger was also travelling with him on that flight. He informed the police officials that the man had taken medicine for chest pain and was speaking nonsense under its influence. After carrying out a thorough investigation, the flight departed for Delhi from Mumbai airport around 6 a.m. 
 
The matter is being further investigated by the Mumbai Police.

In a bizarre incident, a user was permitted by Amazon to sell bottles of drivers' urine on its site as an energy drink, as reported by a Channel 4 documentary. 
 
In the documentary titled "The Great American Heist," filmmaker and past prankster Oobah Butler stated that he has a collection of discarded bottles of Amazon drivers' urine which is titled "Release” for selling on the e-commerce site. 
 
Butler stated that the drink emerged as the top seller in the "Bitter Lemon" category of Amazon and the product was made from bottles which he had found discarded near fulfilment centres of Amazon. 
 
Reacting to the story of “Release” being sold on the e-commerce site, a spokesperson of Amazon said that it was a "crude stunt" and added that no "genuine customer" bought the product. 
 
"Safety is a top priority for Amazon and we require all products offered in our store to comply with applicable laws and regulations," stated the spokesperson.

Speaking to WIRED, Butler said that it was "surprisingly easy" to purchase the product mentioned on the site and the algorithm of Amazon moved the product to the site's drinks category after he placed it in the "Refillable Pump Dispenser" category.

He asked some of his friends to purchase the product and no item was even sold to a real customer, he said, while speaking to Insider. He added that 10 genuine customers did try to purchase the product on Amazon. Since then, Release has since been taken off the Amazon marketplace.

User sells delivery drivers' urine as energy drink on Amazon, company calls it 'crude stunt'

Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir, an Indian-origin diplomat, has been appointed as United States ambassador to Indonesia by President Joe Biden.

As per a report published in the Telegraph, Uber has timed the new hot air balloon service's launch with the centenary year of Turkey, in which it offers free rides to the first 100 customers. The report stated that the hot air balloon service will not be as spontaneous as booking a ride and the users will need to book seats in the hot air balloon at least 12 hours in advance through the Reserve section of Uber. 
 
Turkey has emerged as one of the fastest-growing markets for Uber, said the company with the number of app trips increasing by more than 50 per cent since last year. The company has registered more than 30,000 active taxi drivers in nine cities in Turkey, with the highest number in Istanbul.

According to the Louvre museum's website, after the exhibition, the priceless treasures will return to the cathedral's neo-Gothic sacristy, which was originally designed by the architects Jean Baptiste Lassus and Eugène Viollet-le-Duc between 1845 and 1850.

Following the fire, the sacristy — a place for sacred objects has been meticulously renovated in anticipation of the cathedral's grand reopening in 2024.

The exhibition, which includes over 120 selected works, "provides a condensed history of the treasury".&nbsp;

It will be up till 29 January 2024. These exhibits provide a unique opportunity to understand the treasury's rich heritage, tracing its origins back to the Middle Ages and its remarkable revival in the 19th century.

<h2>Notre Dame fire</h2>

In 2019, the cathedral's iconic spire burned and fell to the ground right in front of thousands of Parisians who could only watch as the beloved French landmark was destroyed.

The iconic cathedral had survived years of wars and revolutions, and understandably not just in Paris but people all over the world were dismayed at the huge loss.

As per Complex, Musk's generous "donation" follows an earlier tweet where he slammed the Wikimedia Foundation for its appeals for donation. He said that so much money "certainly isn't needed to operate Wikipedia. You can literally fit a copy of the entire text on your phone!"&nbsp;

"So, what's the money for? Inquiring minds want to know...," he added.

The archaeologists unearthed the ruins of a 5,000-year-old tomb in Orkney, which reflected the best construction example of neolithic engineering in northern Britain. 
 
During the excavation, 14 articulated skeletons of women, men and children – two of them positioned in a way as if they were embracing each other – were discovered inside one of the six cells or side rooms. 
 
The tomb has been measuring more than 15m in diameter and includes a stone structure, which can be reached through a long passage which is around seven metres. 
 
Senior curator of prehistory (neolithic) at the National Museums Scotland Dr Hugo Anderson-Whymark along with professor of neolithic archaeology at Cardiff University Vicki Cummings headed the excavation.

Anderson-Whymark spoke to The Guardian about the “incredible excitement” as they removed topsoil and started seeing the outline plan of this tomb, which is circular in shape and has a rectangular chamber which is surrounded by six cells with curved backs. 
 
“Seven or eight metres across the interior is really big. We had found not only the tomb, but then in situ articulated skeletons – the icing on the cake,” he said. 
 
He added that the corbelled construction included stones which were built up gradually for creating cell chambers that continued to narrow as they rose. 
 
“They really are engineering feats. The tomb would have been an immense feature in the landscape when it was originally constructed, and the stonework inside would have been very impressive,” he said.

<h2>Orkney and its Neolithic tombs</h2>

Till now, the site was overlooked as it faced destruction during the 18th or 19th centuries when stone was used for constructing a building nearby, which was demolished about a decade ago. 
 
After digging further into the ruins, traces of a wall were discovered along with a stone macehead, a ball and eight skeletons. 
 
Antiquary James Walls Cursiter reported these discoveries in a local newspaper and stated that it was likely a ruined tomb.

Speaking about Orkney being filled with neolithic tombs, Anderson-Whymark said: “Orkney is exceptionally rich in archaeology, but we never expected to find a tomb of this size in such a small-scale excavation. It’s incredible to think this once impressive monument was nearly lost without record.” 
 
“It is incredibly rare to find these tomb deposits, even in well-preserved chambered tombs, and these remains will enable new insights into all aspects of these peoples’ lives,” Cummings added while speaking to The Guardian.

Excavations in Orkney reveal ruin of 5,000-year-old tomb, filled with 14 skeletons

In a truly unique and fun event in the Belgium town of Kasterlee in Antwerp, people paddled in pumpkin boats dressed as pirates, animals and vegetables. The annual competition of the pumpkin boat race is known as the pumpkin regatta. People compete with each other in kayaking in their large hollowed-out pumpkin boats.

"Every year we start small pumpkins and every year we get from the bigger pumpkins the seeds and mix them to make every year bigger and bigger pumpkins. This year we have pumpkins of more than 1000 kilos," explains Gert Peeters, the organiser and pumpkin patch owner.

The clip has gone viral on Chinese social media and has garnered tens of millions of views on social media platform Weibo.

The beer-making company said on Friday that it had approached police and an investigation was ongoing.

"Our company attaches high importance to the relevant video that emerged from Tsingtao Brewery No. 3 on October 19," the beermaker said in a statement.

"We reported the incident to the police at the earliest opportunity, and public security organs are involved in the investigation," it added.

"At present, the batch of malt in question has been completely sealed. The company continues to strengthen its management procedures and ensure product quality."

Social media users have reacted angrily on the video nonetheless. Some have rallied behind one of China's best known beer brand.

"I suggest the company takes this man to court and gets him to pay compensation for the damages," read one popular Weibo response to the company's statement.

"Investigate this thoroughly! Always stand up for our national champion brands!" wrote another user.

Tsingtao is listed in Hong Kong. It is China's second-largest brewer. Its &nbsp;tall bottles of crisp lager are perennial fridge-fillers in bars across East Asia.

In recent years, the company has sought to capitalise on the changing tastes of younger Chinese drinkers by diversifying into craft ales and other products.

China: Beermaker starts probe after worker urination video goes viral

In a stunning discovery, researchers this week found the wreckage of a British submarine, which is believed to have sunk during World War II, on the coast of Norway. 
 
As per the news release, the wreckage was discovered in the spring of 2023, however, it was identified as HMS Thistle earlier this week. The wreckage was discovered by Norway's Institute of Marine Research and MAREANO, which is a programme that maps seabeds in the waters of the country when on a routine cruise. 
 
The researchers, during the planning of the cruise, observed "strange structures" and established a research location which could help them to take a closer look. Then, the researchers explored the seabed, using an underwater camera and finally found the wreck. 
 
"It is not very often that I am in the video room when new locations are being investigated, but on this particular occasion my curiosity was piqued well before the video rig was submerged in the water," said senior engineer Kjell Bakkeplass, in the press release.

After holding discussions with British and Norwegian navies, it "became clear it was a British submarine," stated the Institute of Marine Research, which helped researchers narrow down to two options. 
 
Then, the researchers contacted maritime museums, submarine experts, and other professionals in the field, and found out that the wreckage was "probably" of the HMS Thistle. 
 
When a research cruise was taken by the MAREANO programme in October, they crossed the submarine wreck and successfully identified the wreck.
