According to the police, the accused, who has not been named, zeroed in on the jewellery store after “hunting” various departments after the mall was closed.

In the photo released by the police, the man can be seen standing still and holding a bag in the window of a store.

Notably, neither the store employees nor the shoppers were able to notice him as he appeared to blend in well with other mannequins.

“With a bag in his hand, he stood still in front of a shop window, pretending to be a display mannequin. When he felt safe, he went hunting and robbed the island of jewellery,'' police in the central Warsaw district of Srodmiescie said in a statement.

<h2>'Luck finally ran out'</h2>

The cops said that the man stood still for hours until "he felt it was safe" to move.

He walked through various departments after closing time before targeting the jewellery store, the police said.

However, his luck finally ran out after an alert security staff spotted him.

Notably, the man is also involved in other shoplifting incidents.

The man has been remanded in custody for three months. He is most likely to face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

It was acknowledged by Musk that the platform took a hit on revenue and further blamed activists for pressurising the advertisers. 
 
To generate revenue, Musk began to charge $8 per month for the recently-introduced blue check subscription service which tried to woo advertisers back to X by offering discounts.

Swiss man, Franz Zahn was searching a freshly-plowed carrot field with a metal detector when he hit a jackpot and found large ornate jewellery. He was surprised to find the antique ornament set with other items such as a bear’s tooth, a beaver’s tooth and a fossilised shark’s tooth.

Zahn made the unusual discovery in August while he was in Guttingen in a freshly harvested carrot field. Guttingen is about 50 miles northeast of Zurich. Initially, Zahn found a bronze disc, and immediately realised that it was an “extraordinary discovery”, so he contacted local authorities.

<h2>Unusual discovery of Bronze Age jewellery</h2>

The team of experts identified the jewellery from the Middle Bronze Age, which dates back to about 1500 BC, officials said. Archaeologists later excavated a block of soil where the discovery was made and found a host of other artefacts, including rings, wire spirals made of gold and more than 100 amber beads.

Experts also made some other “surprising” finds - a bronze arrowhead, a beaver tooth, a bear tooth, a rock crystal and a small ammonite.

In total, eight spirals made of gold and 14 bronze spiked discs with grommets were recovered, indicative of “costume jewellery” worn by women about 3,500 years ago, according to the news release.

Local officials said that the unusual discovery triggered several questions: "Has a jewellery box been hidden here? Were the bear tooth, the rock crystal and the selected fossils and stones a collection of curiosities or souvenirs … ? Or is there more to it?"

Experts noted that the array of objects was said to have “a special protective or healing effect” and may have been worn as a kind of amulet.

The artefacts are being restored so that they can be exhibited in the Museum of Archaeology in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.

This is not the first time that ancient treasures have been unearthed in an unexpected event. Earlier this month, two sets of coins were found by metal detectors in Wales, which then turned out to be Roman treasure.&nbsp;

In September, a Norwegian family looking for a lost earring in their garden instead discovered artefacts dating back more than 1,000 years.&nbsp;

Located in the Kannur district of the state, about 463 km north of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram and over 2,300 km south of the national capital New Delhi, the Maryan Apparel Private Limited reportedly produces 100,000 units of Israeli Police uniforms at an annual average.

While speaking to the India Today publication&nbsp;about the collaboration between the factory and the Israeli Police, Shijin Kumar, the factory's manager, shared that the partnership began eight years ago when an inquiry was initiated by the Israeli authorities to supply Police uniforms for their personnel.&nbsp;

Since then, the factory has consistently provided uniforms to meet their requirements, the India Today report said further.

The giant comet will return in 2061&nbsp;after reaching its halfway point in December of this year and then beginning its journey back towards the inner solar system.&nbsp;

The Orionids are already active, having started on September 26 and set to continue until November 22, although the important peak is on Friday and Saturday, October 20 and 21.&nbsp;

Even though you'll need clear skies to see anything noteworthy, sky conditions are good for this year’s Orionids,&nbsp;especially if you’re willing to stay up late. This is so because there's a first quarter moon, which will set at around midnight and is strong enough to bleach the night sky and make it harder to see the "shooting stars".

Therefore, the early hours of Saturday, October 21, will probably be the best time to watch the Orionids.

There's no confirmation, but astrophysicist Clare Kenyon told the Herald Sun: "The culprit? Most likely space junk or a meteor."&nbsp;&nbsp;

She added, "When a piece of space junk – or even something natural like a chunk of space rock – is pulled towards Earth, it's moving really quickly and then basically slams into the atmosphere, creating a kind of sonic boom."&nbsp;

"The friction from Earth's atmosphere is immense and causes the material to break apart and burn causing lingering bright streaks of light across the sky," she added.

Dr Brad Tucker, who is an astronomer from the Australian National University, also hinted at a meteorite. He said that the "flash associated with this boom" hints at it likely coming from a meteor.

"It would have been a bit of an astroid broke off, travelled through space, [and] hit the Earth's atmosphere," Tucker said.

"While growing up here in St. Louis, she learned from her mom, Ellie, how to be an amazing mother herself," Pilgram-Kloppe said. Its style, as per experts, was popular between 1400 and 1500 — rings with chivalric mottos were all the rage back then. Smitten by their love, in a courtly love tradition, men would often have mottos like "I desire to serve you" or "wish to obey" engraved as promises.

They also believe it belonged to someone with an elite status, and a connection to the French.

Pest control experts in the UK are unleashing sniffer dogs in homes, hotels and businesses to combat the menace of bed bugs.

Several hotels and businesses have been battling an explosion of infestation&nbsp;ever since the decline of COVID-19 boosted tourism.

While the rise of bedbugs has been causing trauma for many, it has boosted the business of UK specialist firms that have trained sniffer dogs to detect the infestation&nbsp;everywhere from private homes to five-star hotels.

On average, these firms charge £150 to £350 for a three-bedroom house.&nbsp;

<h2>Booming business&nbsp;</h2>

Gary Jakeman, the chief executive of K9 Detection Services in Solihull in the West Midlands, told the Guardian that he is being sought after by many luxurious hotels to tackle the menace.

“We’re getting more and more interest. We’ve probably had a 25% increase in callouts since June,” said Jakeman, who has two trained springer spaniels, Milo and Kobie.

“These dogs are spot on. There’s very little that can get past a well-trained nose.”

The dogs are trained in the same manner they are taught to smell drugs, explosives and stashes of money.

<h2>How dogs sniff out bedbugs</h2>

In the case of bedbugs, the dogs can detect a pheromone the insects release to help them group together. It usually takes at least a year to 18 months to train a new dog to sniff out bedbugs.

“In very high concentrations, you can smell it yourself,” Dr Richard Naylor, the director of the Bed Bug Foundation, which provides information on the insects and works with canine training schools to certify dogs for bedbug detection, told Guardian. “They produce a very pungent, recognisable smell.”

Moreover, the efficacy of dogs in tracing the bedbugs far surpasses the typical methods employed by pest control.

"This is the culmination of a lot of work by a lot of people. People said it couldn't be done, they called us liars, and we proved to them that Pepper X is actually the hottest pepper in the world, officially from Guinness."

How was Pepper X created?

Currie started growing hot peppers as a hobby and eventually moved to cultivate them full-time. The expert raised some 800 hot pepper plants, according to his website Puckerbutt Pepper Company, "in every inch of his home and the homes of family, friends and neighbours."

In a press release, it was stated that pods and seeds of Pepper X won't be sold as it is a proprietary pepper. The only way to get a taste of it will be through Pepper X hot sauces.&nbsp;

Currie is now working on his next potential hottest-pepper.&nbsp;

"Each time you discover something in his processes, you discover that he was ahead of his time," he said. Like many paintings from the 16th century, Leonardo da Vinci created the Mona Lisa on a wood panel that required a thick base layer. Researchers suggest that the legendary painter might have combined lead oxide powder with linseed oil to create a thick coat for the base layer. However, he might've unknowingly created the rare compound. Researchers, nowadays, aren't allowed to take samples from the Mona Lisa, placed at the Louvre in Paris and protected behind glass. Wallez and his team used a micro-sample from 2007 and analysed it using a high-tech machine called a synchrotron. "These samples have a very high cultural value," Wallez said. "You can't afford to take big samples on a painting, so a synchrotron is the best way to analyse them," he added. The person, wearing red hair, collar, ruffled leggings has been stalking the residents of Skelmorlie—a town of about 2,000 people—at night for the past three years, holding a red balloon.

The creepy clown usually comes in October—the month of Halloween—and then disappears.

So far, no one has been able to identify the clown's true identity, reports Sky News.

The clown recently released a video on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/100073398488601/videos/661399319421128/?ref=embed_video&amp;t=0">Facebook</a>.

“Well, well, well, I’ve made the news again. Should I smile for the cameras with my hideous grin?” a distorted voice said in a Facebook post titled, “A message to the media.”

Referring to reports that police had been aware of their activities, the clown says: “Do you think I care? They’d have to catch me first anyway.

“And yes, that’s a dare”.

The account’s biography section states the clown is from Hell, Michigan, attended Hellgate High School in Montana, and studied at Clown School before becoming self-employed.

The residents have been left terrified with the clown’s antics who have urged the enforcement authorities to nab the masked person.

“Whoever this is they are scaring everybody – he needs to be stopped,” a local father-of-two told the Independent.

“Someone needs to have a word with him before the police get involved or he really terrifies someone. He could give someone a heart attack.”

According to Sky News, the police in Scotland are aware of the scary videos, but they have not received any reports.

Pennywise the Dancing Clown is the main antagonist in Stephen King's novel It, which also spawned three movies, including sequels.

The character stalks the streets of Derry in Maine, where he kills children roughly every 27 years.

McDonald’s triggered a massive furore, especially in Arab countries, after its Israel unit announced that it has been providing meals to Israeli soldiers free of cost amidst its ongoing war with the Hamas group.

In an Instagram post, the US food giant said that it has been donating "tens of thousands of meals," across Israel over the past few days during the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.

"McDonald's donated and continues to donate tens of thousands of meals to IDF units, the police, hospitals, residents around the Strip and all rescue forces. We continue donating thousands of meals daily to our forces across the country. In addition to a 50% discount to soldiers and security forces who come to our branches," the post read in Hebrew.

It further said that it has opened five additional branches for the sole purpose of providing aid and donations to Israeli security forces and that it plans to deliver 4,000 meals daily.

The fast food giant has donated 12,000 meals to the IDF and Israeli residents in the surrounding areas, according to a&nbsp;post on Thursday.

But the move was severely criticised by many Arab nations who started calling for the boycott of the burger joint across the globe.

A user on social med Z wrote, “McDonald's&nbsp;providing free meals to the IDF, (the military forces of Israel). We should stand by our principles and take actions that align with our beliefs. Lets boycott McDonalds bcz Supporting companies that are involved in conflicts is wrong, especially when it comes to the loss of innocent lives."

The poster continued: "Let's raise awareness and encourage accountability from these brands. Remember, every individual's voice and actions can make a difference in shaping a more just world."

Another user commented, “What a gross act @McDonalds. Israel cut food, water, and electricity in Gaza and you are giving them free meals. What a shame.”

Following the announcement, McDonald's Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, UAE and Turkey units took out statements in support of Gaza, while Pakistan’s franchise distanced itself from the post.

An England-based private boarding school has appointed a 'unique' headmaster — an AI robot named Abigail Bailey.

Cottesmore School in West Sussex worked with an artificial intelligence developer to create their new principal headteacher.

Abigail Bailey, as the AI robot is named, will primarily help the school's headmaster, Tom Rogerson.

Talking to the Telegraph, Rogerson detailed that Abigail with provide him with advice and insights on a variety of issues, ranging from how to support fellow teachers and staff members, to helping students with learning disabilities like ADHD and writing school policies.

No. Talking to Telegraph, Rogerson said that having the robot around doesn't mean you don't ever seek counsel from humans.

He said,&nbsp;"Sometimes having someone or something there to help you is a very calming influence."

As per the 'human' headmaster, the school has the highest number of teachers in its 130-year history and the robot will not replace human teachers.

The data found the carbon impact of the rich people's driving habits has damaged the climate more than those of the middle class. This is because the data showed a strong correlation between income and owning a large SUV.&nbsp;

According to the stats,&nbsp;households in the top 20 per cent of the income bracket are 81 per cent more likely to own a vehicle that emits more climate-damaging gases than the rest 80 per cent. Furthermore, the data showed that the top 20 per cent group drives three times as many miles a year as those in the bottom income bracket

The car ownership data in the Lonon borough of Kensington and Chelsea found that having an SUV, such as the Land Rover Defender, is associated with living in a richer area.

A similar scheme has been adopted in Kensington and Chelsea which has a differential of up to 10 times.

Study reveals latest SUV models emit more climate damaging gases than older ones

It appears to be part monkey, part fish and part reptile. Labelled as “Fiji Mermaid,” the remains of this mysterious creature have long sparked curiosity among scientists from all over the world.

The remains date back to the late 19th century. It is believed that they were brought to Indiana from Japan by a US sailor, who donated these to the Clark County Historical Society in 1906.

Now, a group of students is trying to find out what exactly is this creature.

<h2>Ongoing study</h2>

Students in (Northern Kentucky University) NKU's radiology department are now conducting experiments on this creature with the help of some sophisticated modern technology.

"I think it's really cool," said radiologic science major Amanda Nashalsky. "I've never seen anything like this. I wasn't really sure what to expect. Even looking up pictures of it online, it's so much smaller than I expected," she said.

According to radiologic science professor Dr Joseph Cress, their motive is to provide as many insights as possible without dissecting the artefact.&nbsp;

"With X-rays, we're the eyes of healthcare, and so, if we can see something without really dissecting it and holding the integrity of this artifact, then why not? We have the labs here at NKU and we have the CT scanner," he was quoted as saying by Local12 website.

<h2>Results will be shared with the Cincinnati Zoo</h2>

According to Natalie Fritz, archivist and outreach director for the Clark County Historical Society at the Heritage Center, they were first contacted by Brian Hackett, an associate professor and director at NKU to get the artefact to the university lab for the purpose of conducting a CT scan.

Scientists believe that newly unearthed mysterious gold treasures in Norway can help find secrets of ancient society. By gold treasures, they mean tiny, detailed 1 cm wide gold foils that were recently discovered during excavations of a pagan religious temple in Hov, Norway.

So far, Norway has only 10 known sites where such foils have been found. In Hov, 35 such pieces have been found, the most for a single site in the country.

But over 3,000 similar foils have been found across Scandinavia, according to Ingunn Marit Røstad, an archaeologist and associate professor at the Museum of Cultural History in Oslo.

“They’re found in almost all of Scandinavia, but only in Scandinavia,” Røstad was quoted as saying by CNN. “You have the same images spread all over Scandinavia, so they must have meant something, the people must have known what they meant, and I think they must have been important to be handled in this way,” he added.

The most recent documented artefacts have been discovered concealed beneath the structure's walls and within the post holes, suggesting intentional placement and leading researchers to consider them as potential offerings to the building.

“There are many different suggestions (as to the foils’ purpose),” Røstad said. “They must have been placed there intentionally, so I think it’s some form of sacrifice that has been done — probably in connection with some of the rituals that had been taking place inside of this pagan building, perhaps marriage rituals, since very many of these gold foils have pictures of couples on them,” he added.
