<p>In their quest to create a 3D printer capable of producing edible vegetables efficiently, the two students built their machine by gathering necessary components from all across the world.&nbsp;Traditionally, 3D-printed edibles were made from purees of conventionally grown vegetables or fruits.&nbsp;However, these methods were ill-suited for mass production.</p>

<p>Annan and Al Mansoori enhanced existing masked stereolithography technology, which uses ultraviolet light to set the "inks." This modification allows for rapid and large-scale printing compared to previous 3D printing techniques.</p>

<p>Explaining their innovation, Annan stated, "[Our] technology supports mass production because it uses ultraviolet light. This type of printing has been done before using ultraviolet light with resin, but it's never been done before using edible material."</p>

<h2><strong>Challenges while creating the tech&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>One of the significant challenges faced by the two scientists has been making their technology understandable and accessible to a broader audience.</p>

<p>Annan noted the importance of bridging the gap in communication, stating, "There is a learning curve to be able to communicate it clearly so that it's not too alien. How do we communicate this without seeming like we're crazy?"</p>

<p>However, converting non-arable land into fertile soil is expensive and challenging. The 3D printing of lab-grown vegetables or fruits offers a promising alternative.</p>

<p>Rosas was prescribed the&nbsp;once-a-week drug for her type 2 diabetes in the hope that it could relieve her from taking multiple medications twice a day.</p>

<p>She started using Ozempic in April 2023, and the first week went quite well. She felt mild depression but improved quickly, and her blood glucose levels were controlled.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Soon, she started experiencing excruciating pain in her back, shoulders, and arms, which she thought was post-Covid neuropathy pain.</p>

<p>Later, in August, an even worse burning pain affected her genital area and buttocks, leaving her with charred skin.</p>

<p>“I noticed ‘pieces’ of skin on my toilet seat and on the tissue paper when I cleaned [my genital] area,” Rosas revealed.</p>

<p>Rosas didn't stop at that; she reported her situation to Ozempic's customer service and the FDA while researching online to find others facing similar issues. The side effects, as she discovered, were not isolated incidents but part of a pattern of adverse reactions.</p>

This October, meteor showers, ring of fire solar eclipse, New Moon & more are coming

<p>Indian capital New Delhi and its neighbouring regions are prone to earthquakes as they fall under the seismic zone four along the Aravali fault line, where the possibility of severe intensity tremors is high.</p>

<p>On Tuesday (Oct 9), Delhi and its surrounding areas including Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad felt strong tremors, creating panic among residents. According to the reports, two earthquakes of 4.6 and 6.2 magnitude struck Nepal. Delhi-NCR and other regions of north India also felt its shock.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier in June, Delhi-NCR experienced strong tremors after a 5.4 magnitude earthquake jolted Doda in Jammu and Kashmir.</p>

<p>Thus, such tremors&nbsp;are not a new thing for Delhi-NCR residents. They have always had a unique way of reacting to earthquakes, as they experience the shaking once every few months. <p>According to EV FireSafe chief executive Emma Sutcliffe, the blaze may have been sparked by toxic flammable gases coming from a damaged lithium-ion battery.</p>

<p>She also highlighted the growing risk of fires caused by faulty e-bikes, e-scooters and battery-powered devices such as skateboards and hoverboards.</p>

<p>“E-bikes and e-scooter battery fires are incredibly common and in London and New York they’re seeing one of these every day, if not two or three,” she added.</p>

<h2><strong>Data on battery fires</strong></h2>

<p>According to data cited by the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH), the first half of 2023 saw more battery fires than in all of 2022. Fire and Rescue service in New South Wales responded to at least 165 incidents of battery fire in 2023 by August, way more than 114 incidents in 2022.</p>

<p>“In the first six months of this year, we stopped counting at 500 battery fires in electric bikes and scooters,” Sutcliffe said, adding, We were able to track 238 injuries and at least 43 fatalities and all of those fatalities were due to fire.”</p>

<p>Surprisingly, same-sex behaviour does not hinder opposite-sex reproduction and, therefore, does not limit the number of offspring produced by a population, as per the study.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Authorities of a Bali-based resort in Indonesia are reportedly on the&nbsp;hunt for a&nbsp;foreign national who was seen meditating naked at a sacred Hindu shrine in a viral video.&nbsp;This is not a lone incident to come&nbsp;out of the island nation. In the past, a slew of such incidents have taken place where tourists were seen or caught disrespecting religious places.</p>

<p>This particular case came to light when a Balinese influencer Ni Luh Djelantik reposted a video of a naked man meditating at a Hindu shrine, gaining hundreds of thousands of views.</p>

<p>“So disrespectful. Meditating nak*d on our temple ? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR F*CKIN MIND? How could you do this, humiliating Balinese and their belief? Immigration Officer please get this person, we’ve had enough! This is a humiliation to us Balinese people," an influencer wrote on Instagram.</p>

Indonesian authorities hunting foreign national who meditated naked at Hindu shrine

<p>Just days after a Dutch scientist predicted a massive quake in Pakistan, a temblor rocked South Asia, but thousands of miles away in Nepal, and it was 6.2 on the Richter scale, making its tremors shake Indian capital Delhi and adjoining areas in northern region.</p>

<p>Frank Hoogerbeets, a researcher of the Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS) — an organisation based in The Netherlands — on September 29, claimed that Pakistan would face a catastrophic earthquake.</p>

<p>He claimed to have detected an unusual increase in electric charge fluctuations along the fault lines in Balochistan’s Chaman area.</p>

<p>He even predicted the date of the earthquake, anywhere between October 1 and 3, adding that this would be “critical” for Pakistan.</p>

<p>“Planetary geometry is difficult to interpret with four conjunctions spread out over the next 10 days. As far as I can tell, 1-3 October will be more critical,” he said on social media X on Sept 29.</p>

<h2><strong>Earthquake in Nepal and India </strong></h2>

<p>On Wednesday, that is October 3, this is exactly what happened. A major earthquake occurred in the afternoon, but not in Pakistan.</p>

<p>Rather the tremors were recorded well over a thousand&nbsp;miles away in neighbouring Nepal and in northern parts of India.</p>

<p>Nepal was jolted by four earthquakes that occurred in a span of one hour, leaving a trail of damage&nbsp;in western Bajhang district, and at least 12 injured.</p>

<p>“Age is just a number,” said Dorothy Hoffner, while interacting with a cheering crowd seconds after she touched the ground on Sunday (Oct 1) at Skydive Chicago in Ottawa, which is 85 miles (140km) south-west of Chicago, reported the Chicago Tribune.</p>

<p>In May 2022, the Guinness World Record for the world’s oldest skydiver was made by 103-year-old Linnea Ingegard Larsson from Sweden. However, Skydive Chicago has been working to get the jump of Hoffner certified as a record by the Guinness World Records, reported WLS-TV.</p>

<p>The woman dived for seven minutes, which included the slow descent of her parachute to the ground. As she landed on the ground, the woman clung to the harness over her narrow shoulders and softly landed on the grassy landing area.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The bear was reported to be demonstrating “aggressive behaviour” and Parks Canada killed it “to ensure public safety”. Hours later, the RCMP arrived to transport the victims to Sundre, which is a town nearly 50 miles east of the place where the attack took place.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">“This is a tragic incident, and Parks Canada wishes to express its sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims,” said the agency, in a statement.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The fatalities were the first to be reported in half a century within Banff National Park’s border, although a spate of attacks was experienced by the region in the summer of 1980 by the “Black Grizzly of Whiskey Creek” – one of which turned fatal.</p>

Grizzly bear kills couple and their dog in Canada national park

<p>A woman has sued Walt Disney World theme park in Orlando, Florida, saying that she suffered an 'injurious wedgie' while she was riding the Typhoon Lagoon at the park,&nbsp;according to multiple reports in the US media. The woman has reportedly said that she received the injury four years ago.</p>

<p>The lawsuit was filed last week in Orange County, Florida. Emma McGuinness, along with her husband Edward McGuinness, sued Disney World and is seeking USD 50,000 in damages. Emma (33) allegedly suffered injuries during the couple's visit to the&nbsp;water park in October 2019.</p>

<p>She got injured on Humunga Kowabunga, a slide that's about 214 feet above a pool.</p>

<p>"The impact of The Slide and [Emma's] impact into the standing water at the bottom of The Slide caused Ms. McGuinness' clothing to be painfully forced between her legs and for water to be violently forced inside her," says the complaint as reported by People magazine.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I leant on the water tank. I almost fell. I almost met God. I don’t know why I’m like this, sis. I’ve been feeling bad all day,” continued Pinto.</p>

<p>The toxicology reports generated from biosamples from her autopsy revealed high concentrations of pesticides - Sulfotep and Terbufos - in her body. The investigations are still on to prove if the chocolate was the source of Pinto’s poisoning.&nbsp;</p>

Woman in Brazil dies after consuming chocolate given by palm reader who predicted her death

<p>Charlotte Sena, a nine-year-old girl who disappeared during a family camping trip in upstate New York, was found "safe and in good health" after a frantic two-days search.</p>

<p>The massive search for Charlotte Sena ended after police rescued the fourth grader and arrested the suspect who allegedly abducted her. She vanished while riding her bike on Saturday evening at Moreau Lake State Park, a bushy forest area located 35 miles (60 kilometres) north of Albany, reported AP.</p>

<p>During a briefing on Sunday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul said Charlotte's parents panicked after she failed to return after 15 minutes. Authorities issued an Amber Alert on Sunday morning, prompting an exhaustive search as they suspected her disappearance might be an abduction case. According to the alert, she was a 1.37 metres tall white girl with brown hair and green eyes.</p>

<p>Charlotte's family had pleaded with the public to find their daughter and asked to provide any tips to the police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Monday, Governor Hochul said during a news conference that the police found a fingerprint from a ransom note left by the suspect, identified as Craig Nelson Ross Jr., 47.</p>

<p>One of the fingerprints on the ransom note matched Ross, who was involved in a 1999 DWI (driving while intoxicated) case. She said the authorities linked Ross to a property owned by his mother, found the little girl and captured the suspect in a camper at about 06:30 pm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Hochul, the authorities took Charlotte to a local hospital. However, she appeared unharmed and reunited with her family.</p>

<p>The case is currently an active investigation, and Ross is still under interrogation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Charlotte Sena's rescue ended an intense search involving 400 people, including forest rangers, police officers and firefighters, expanded over 46 linear miles (74 linear kilometres).</p>

<p>Due to the search, the parks remained closed, and officials requested the public refrain from attempting to assist and instead allow the professionals to handle the situation.</p>

<p>Additionally, federal authorities put in place a temporary flight restriction over the park to ensure the safety of law enforcement air operations.</p>

<p>The Corinth Central School District provided additional counsellors at Charlotte's elementary school to support students and staff in need. The district released a statement expressing sympathy for the Sena family.</p>

During a briefing on Sunday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul said Charlotte's parents panicked after she failed to return after 15 minutes. Authorities issued an Amber Alert on Sunday morning, prompting an exhaustive search as they suspected her disappearance might be an abduction case. According to the alert, she was a 1.37 metres tall white girl with brown hair and green eyes. Charlotte's family had pleaded with the public to find their daughter and asked to provide any tips to the police. On Monday, Governor Hochul said during a news conference that the police found a fingerprint from a ransom note left by the suspect, identified as Craig Nelson Ross Jr., 47. She said the authorities linked Ross to a property owned by his mother, found the little girl and captured the suspect in a camper at about 06:30 pm. According to Hochul, the authorities took Charlotte to a local hospital. However, she appeared unharmed and reunited with her family. The case is currently an active investigation, and Ross is still under interrogation. Charlotte Sena's rescue ended an intense search involving 400 people, including forest rangers, police officers and firefighters, expanded over 46 linear miles (74 linear kilometres). Due to the search, the parks remained closed, and officials requested the public refrain from attempting to assist and instead allow the professionals to handle the situation. Additionally, federal authorities put in place a temporary flight restriction over the park to ensure the safety of law enforcement air operations. The Corinth Central School District provided additional counsellors at Charlotte's elementary school to support students and staff in need. <h2><strong>Based on Wolff's Law</strong></h2>

<p>This trend seems to be rooted in 19th-century German surgeon and anatomist Julius Wolff's Law.</p>

<p>According to this theory, bones are constantly undergoing remodelling with old or damaged bones continuously being resorbed and replaced by new ones.</p>

<p>It argues that applying mechanical force or physical stress to your bones can actually increase the rate at which such remodelling occurs and, in the process, result in stronger, thicker bones. And the lack of such stress or force can lead to thinner or weaker bones.</p>

<p>The rare 1493 Latin translation of Columbus' letter, which was printed on an early printing press to narrate the news of “discoveries” of the travellers to elite Europeans, is likely to fetch up to £1.2 million ($1.5 million) at a Christie’s auction this month.<br />

“[In current times] Columbus has lost his former status as an honorary all-American hero and quasi-founding father, but notoriety rarely hurts one’s market value, especially in the US. Witness Donald Trump,” stated Fernández-Armesto.</p>

In the letter, the rich natural assets which were found by Columbus on the islands were praised in the letter. The traveller also portrayed the “extraordinarily timid” native people he encountered there as “so unsuspicious and so generous” they are “like fools”.<br />

“Like him or not, you can’t deny Columbus’s importance,” said Fernandez-Armesto, as reported by The Observer.</p>

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Enfield council’s cabinet member for the environment Rick Jewell said, “The beavers’ hard work creating a natural wetland ecosystem will contribute to excellent flood defences, protecting the local area and hundreds of homes from flooding downstream to the south-east of the borough, while encouraging biodiversity.”</p>

<h2><strong>Beaver safaris for residents of London</strong></h2>

<p>Meanwhile, Capel Manor College’s animal collections manager Meg Wilson said, “We are thrilled [about] this new arrival. We have seen the developments the beavers are [involved in] and the improvements they have made to the wetland area. We are now focusing our efforts on collecting data, which we hope will provide further evidence about the positive effects the beavers are having on the environment.”<br />

During the project, the mammals were seen inhabiting a 10-acre area of parkland in Ealing, west London. The residents in London will now be able to go on “beaver safaris” to look at the creatures as part of the authorities' rewilding project.</p>

Guinness World Records recently announced that Canada's Mike Jack consumed 50 Carolina reapers, which is the hottest pepper in the world and known to contain 1.64m Scoville heat units, in a short duration of 6 minutes and 49.2 seconds.<br />

The video shared by the Guinness World Records on the social media platforms showed Jack wearing a red bandana and gloves as he ate all the peppers in front of a blowing fan. In between, the man at times started breathing heavily and closed his eyes. The onlookers were heard cheering him on and shouting, “Go, Mike!”</p>

<p>Speaking to Guinness World Records about his experiences, Jack said, “The first pepper is the worst. The initial shock of spiciness is intense. The second one doesn’t seem as bad, but each one after that gets hotter and hotter as the peppers touch new places in your mouth.”<br />
<br />
Even after building a spice tolerance in the last two decades, Jack stated that he is still feeling discomfort in his stomach.<br />
<br />
“I get bad cramps. It feels like someone is squeezing and twisting my guts … Your mind is telling you to stop but you have to convince yourself to keep pushing through,” he stated.</p>

Earlier this year, the man also set a world record for the longest habanero pepper kiss after he along with his wife consumed a habanero pepper and kissed for 15 minutes and 6.5 seconds.</p>
